So a couple of weeks ago, I got SUPER sick. Not an excuse, an explanation. But the long and short of it is, I managed to screw up the order of the chapters, along with a few other mistakes. On top of mistakes I was making completely naturally, before my wellness became an issue.
So I'm not posting a chapter this week.
It's no secret that this story is kind of a mess. It was an idea I rushed out to try and take part in a contest, when normally my stories don't go up until I've done a long process of planning and pre work. I'm not saying I'm not proud of what I've written here so far, far from it. But the simple truth is this is not sustainable. I'm tumbling down a rabbit hole of ever increasing failure. If you, the people reading, are going to get the story you deserve, if the story is going to get the chance it deserves, and if I am going to not look like the biggest idiot and most talentless hack in the universe, something needs to drastically change.

So I'm taking a week off. By this time next week, I'll have the chapters reordered, I'll have fixed most of the prep and behind the scenes stuff. I should have done this weeks ago, but I kept telling myself I could fix it on the fly...which resulted in the aforementioned screw ups. So to get out something that actually deserves to be read, I've got to take a step back, take a breath, and get this damn thing organized.
But I've got big plans for this story, so don't go away. Keep an eye out for the refurbishment. I've got fun villains, cool fights, action, adventure, some romance, all that great stuff. Now in a format that's actually fun to read. And if you wanna give a guy a break, and maybe check OUT some of that other stuff, go ahead and check out my other stories. You'll find the links right below this notice in the post note. "What Did I Wish For" seems to resonate with people in particular, but I'm proud of all of them.
Thanks for clicking on my story, thanks for checking me out so far, and I hope everybody has a great day.
