Chapter 1: Welcome New life

I do not know how long I'm here on this unfamiliar world but one thing I can be sure for, and that is my second life start from now on.

Eternal darkness

A pitch black color cover my entire vision. Although being conscious, the lackness of everything made myself doubt its existence. I tried to touch something but there is no single object around me.

Seemingly deprived by my senses, I can't track time nor even myself where could I be. Even then, I cannot remember how I do manage to get in here.

Suddenly, a blinding flash of light filled every corner of my sight. A young woman in pure white dress instantly appear before me. A vivid scene seems made out of fantasy dream, this can only be describe as "Once in a lifetime" moment.

[ "please don't forget, you have one wish I can fulfill. I'm waiting for it." ]

Her words echoes as she slowly float away from me. I subconsciously reach her out while the light keep getting intense.

"*gasp*"

A ray of light peek through the gap of the leaves in this tree. It keeps moving as the branches sway due to the cool breeze passing by constantly.

"..."

I stood myself on this exact spot and observe my surrounding. Only a grass field with few trees erected here and there. An unfamiliar land in which I haven't seen in my entire life.

*fwsshhh shaa*

"hm?"

A bunny-looking creature appear out the bush from afar. It have a few distinct feature like its two longer ears and bluish crystal sprouted on its body. Based on it sudden appearance, this confirmed that I'm really not on earth anymore.

'But, what was the last thing I did on earth?....let see, I'm on my way home from work but I...'

Just recalling exactly as to what transpired, it only makes me lamented. Upon crossing the pedestrian lane, a truck came and hit me really hard that the impact shoot my whole body a meters away from the spot.

"...."

"..*!*....Oh right, how could I forgot about 'that dream'? I need to make a wish right?"

Apparently, while I'm in the state of nothingness, she, the name's Vigne. the goddess of this world came in and save me. She then made my lost soul reincarnated here on this unknown world. She also wants to give me a gift as being the first visitor of this world. But, this goddess doesn't know what will she give into me. In the end, she left the decision up to me.

'So...what will I wish for myself?'

Although I can pick any powerful skill I read in novels and manga but let think it this way, there's a possibility that I can acquire most of it here as magic existence can be confirmed based on goddess's words.

"hmm.... let me confirmed something first"

*cough, cough*

"Open status!"

I shouted as loud as I could but nothing happened.

'let me try again using another words'

"Inspect Property!"

*chirp, chirp*

'.....still nothing happened...*sigh*'

There's only two possibility why my own status window hasn't appear yet; one is that its required a specific words, and second is that it's not even exist in the first place.

"I think, I know what I want to wish for right now"

I look at this clear blue sky. My head raise as high as possible and then took a deep breath.

"Goddess Vigne-sama, I finally decided what I wanted to get."

'The status window only shows about myself. Nothing more, nothing less however'

With full of confidence, I state my desire on to her.

"Please make me a《Player》. Like the protagonist I read in the stories back on earth, I, too want to experience what to be a [Gamer] inside the game."

When I left the earth, [Full-dive] is still nowhere near the completion. So at the very least, I can make myself be one of the story I dreamed about.

Then, the atmosphere seemingly stop as her voices reverberate across the world.

[ "is this what you really wanted?" ]

[ "Very well then, I hope you enjoy this second life" ]

The time begin to move again but my vision suddenly double. Followed by an intense pain all over my body as if my whole body is pulling apart along with the space seemingly being slice out of existence. Everything surrounds me are rapidly getting out of the reach of my senses.

'AAAHHHH!!'

An unfathomable situation where every single part of environment are getting thinner and thinner like a bread being slicing upon in unimaginable state. Ripping, stretching, and separating all of it away from each other. Slowly turning the images into transparent. I subconsciously clenching my teeth, fist and shut both of my eye tightly.

In a matter of seconds, the world back to its normal state as my body lose the balance and fall down onto the ground.

"-ack!"

"*pant, pant* w-what was that??"

Being confused as to what transpired, a notifications window appear before me.

I exit the windows and stand again. there's no HP/MP or mini map on my vision so I look around and found at the very bottom-left corner, blinking as to be notice quickly.

I open it using my mind. Then, the gear icon spin fast and shoot all of the option out one by one, aligning themselve at the corner.

The HUD systems finally shows itself in front of me as the skill name implied, [Augmentation]. «HP» and «MP» appear at the top-left corner, «Minimap» shows at the top-right corner with a «Notification» Panel at the bottom of it.

for the bottom center, a compass bar and 10 empty square below of it. There's even a chat panel at the bottom right corner

"Why is there a chat on the system? what's the use of it anyway?"

I operate the chat and see what can it even do. the chat system have a few option; [All/Friend/Party/Whisper]

I tried chatting at the [All] setting but nothing happened.

"Well, there is not even a single person except myself around here."

I move next to the [Options]. There are five selection lining up vertically; [Menu], [Abilities], and [Inventory].

Inside the [Menu] are the following:

>[Inbox]

>[Store]

>[Setting]

In which under the [Player] selection are;

>[Status]

>[Party]

"That's quite deep just to see my own status. is it possible to open it without browsing around the menu?"

I quickly close all of my windows and summon it without saying out loud.

'Open status!'

A panel open but another one which apparently a notifications also appear.

After finish entering my in-game name, the status load up.

My eyes look for a prey and found a few of the rabbit-looking creatures 12 meter away from me.

'Wait a second, do I have some fighting skill?

I walk closer to one of those creatures and look at it. The system automatically shows its name, level and HP/MP after a few second staring at the target.

The hopper is peacefully eating grass on this plain while I observing it up closed. As they look so cute, I try to touch its body when suddenly, the head turned around showing its bloody mouth and sharp teeth.

I instinctively pulled my hand away from it as then took a sudden bite at me.

*shock* *grim*

Now that I recognized this as a dangerous creatures, I balanced myself and kick it as hard as I could.

It flew seven meters away from me. its HP dropped up to 2/3 total of the bar. The other two within the vicinity immediately hop at this direction.

"...not good"

I run closer to the one that flew away and kick it again but I made it fly vertically. Then, I swung my fist, punching its body with full force. The enemy blast far in the distant.

Finally, depleting the last health point left from the enemy.

*ping!*

The second one who barely managed to get here in time received the same 2nd attack pattern.

The third one came before I charge to the second hopper that fly due to punching. It took a bite at me but I swiftly dodge it nimbly and connect my attack by smoothly swing my fist at its direction.

The third hopper depleted only half of the HP bar as it quickly stood itself. I planned to kick the body but a pale purple light shone at the horn of the enemy indicating an incoming magical attack.

The hopper charge and hop at me but I evade it barely and then knee it torso, followed by another heavy punch. The second one who also have a light emitting from horn and the body seemingly clad in magical cloak charge in haste.

It took a leap forward while I also then charge at him. I stop and attack him using a full round kick as it was in mid-air.

The last enemy roll over the grassy plain and shattered into a multiple colored tiny cubes. The cubes seems like a pixels as it next float in the air and dissipated.

"*huff, huff*"

*ping!*

On the location where it died, lies a coins and Horn hopper's meat.

"Oh, a drop items. Like an rpg game."

I pick all the drops and put them in my storages. The coins did not enter one of the empty slot, rather, appear at the very bottom of the inventory panel.

[Fer: 0 platinum, 0 gold, 0 silver, 3 bronze, 600 copper.]

I notice the notification panel right below of the minimap, it fill with few system messages.

>[Punching has risen from F to E]

"*whistle* Lovely Exp~"

I check my status for a few moment and closed it again.

"Now, what shall I do now?...hm?"

My eyes notice an incoming carriages on the road up ahead.
