Rin refused to come off as desperate but with her frenemy Kira ignoring her 2 separate text messages she knew she would have to be sly to get what she wanted. A clear shot at Ogre. She thought about enlisting the help of Lunara in pressuring Kira to feel bad about not including her with the study session with the only boy to ever ignore her. But he appeared to appreciate a direct approach so she could just get whatever this feeling was out of her system. But first she had to clear the path. After getting her food she made her way to her all but designated seat for lunch. Refusing to appear pouty she joined Kira and Lunara eating their lunches and chatting casually about whatever unimportant things their hearts desired.
“How did that study session go last night Kira?” Rin said primly to make it sound worse in context . The girl began to blush slightly. What happened and why was she playing with her ear? That was not one of her usual habits.
“It went well. He’s actually very bright, "she said after clearing her throat.
“Really?” said Lunara, “I heard he might be the first ever 2nd year captain of the track team and the baseball team. I don’t think there's ever been a person who has done either in school history let alone both”
“I believe it,” said Kira, stealing a glance over to Ogre. “At the stadium he jumped all 4 fences separating the bleachers from the field like a character out of Naruto”
“How is that possible with that extra girth? It's not a lot but it's not nothing” said Rin.
Lunara smiled “That's where it gets Crazy. That's a training vest. One of my girlfriends at track said he wears it all day at school for some reason. She couldn’t even pick it up when he left it on the ground for training” Lunara said beaming for having relevant information.
Even more enticed now Rin turned to Kira who stole another look at Ogre. “So did anything happen last night you’d like to share” she said with a sardonic wink. Knowing full well even if something did happen Kira wouldn’t have the fortitude to admit it.
“Nothing,” Kira replied, narrowing her eyes. Knowing that was the answer Rin was fishing for but not trusting the motivation behind the subtle coercion in bringing it out.
“Perfect,” Rin said in a pleasant tone. “I am going to seduce him to get my pride back” She said quickly getting up from the table. She paused for a moment and for dramatic effect she unbuttoned the top of her uniform to show just a little of her ample cleavage. She stole a look from Kira who began to turn beat red then skipped along the lunch room to find Ogre.. Teyo I guess.
She paid attention to the moves Kira put on him and decided to take several pages out of her playbook. The eyes of boys constantly followed her across the school. Something she just had to get used to being so damn sexy but the closer she got to Teyo she could feel it wasn’t just the boys. And when she sat down across from the solitary person sitting at the table Rin basked in the attention of muted conversation and all the eyes in the cafeteria fixating on her.
“Hello” Rin said sitting down in a friendly tone she would never admit stealing from Lunara’s repertoire. “I apologize for our first meeting last week and I would like to reintroduce myself. I’m Rin. It is nice to meet you. Kira told me so much about you” She tilted her face and gave him her cutest smile.
At the mention of Kira he looked up, met her eyes and Nodded then returned to his food and studies.
“Do you always study while eating lunch? If so, I'd love to form a little study group with you” said Rin. At the mention of that the room fell silent. Most of the people here went out to eat on the first day of school so for many of them it was the first chance to hear the Ogre speak. And to one of the most beautiful girls in this school to boot. A most captivating scene she was playing out. She could feel all of the attention waiting on a knife's edge. What else could be more alluring than her and this moment?
Kira could not believe what was going on. She knew Rin and her were rivals, but they were also friends. There's only room for so many people allowed at the top of the high school pecking order and she was just throwing herself at Teyo shamelessly. Her Teyo. I knew I should’ve asked him out but to think this would happen so quickly. No man could resist Rin smiles or D-cups and if she would have to compete against that one so damn be it she resigned herself not even trying to hide her contempt.

Lunara leaned in to whisper as not to break the silence that had abruptly fallen over the room. “Are you ok? If looks could murder you’d be a cereal killer”
“I said he was my puzzle to figure out, and I thought that was enough to keep this farce from happening. That thirsty bitch” Kira hissed, also trying not to break the silence. Then the moment the room has been waiting for.
“I sincerely appreciate your offer but I respectfully decline, I have a study partner” he said in his matter of fact voice you could pave a back road with. Then returned his attention to his tofu and text book
Rin blinked “Just trying to make a new student feel welcomed to the community is all.” she said in the voice of an ambassador and continued to eat her meal across from this insufferable man waiting for her chance to conspire with him after the lunch room conversations finally picked back up. She would not slink back to her table after such a blunder.
“Why won’t you talk to me?” she said slowly, all properness gone from her voice, but not her demeanor.. She had appearances to keep up.
“I don’t know what you want. But I’m confident it's not what I want” he said without looking up.
Seeing a potential way in she asked “And what is it you want” leaning on her elbows and pushing her breasts together.
“To continue to internalize and comprehend my feelings for your ‘friend’” he said quietly to match her tone.
Frustrated now and still not wanting to let it show “And what does she have that I don’t?” knowing the only way to keep him engaged was to ask questions. She got that from Kira’s playbook too.
Rin watched closely as his eyes met hers. This one didn’t even glance at my tits, she noticed first, but all thoughts and plans ceased temporarily in her mind when she looked into the sapphire eyes. “She is earnest and genuine and those are just two of the many things I find beautiful about her” Teyo said that in such a way as for others not to hear it, and as much as she was insulted by those words Rin appreciated his delivery. Stoic face and all. True to form he refocused back on the books to his left and the tray of food to his right.
And with that his trapped had fully snared Rin. Unable to leave and lose considerable face with a very public rejection and unable to continue a conversation for fear of completely losing her composure. Teyo, she mused. Both rejected my advances twice as well as put her on tilt twice. She would let his relationship with Kira run its course for now. But he is going to wake up in her bed one day so help her god. She continued to eat in silence, paying close attention to his mannerisms. You could tell alot about people by being observant. She just might have to eat lunch here every day to get an appropriate sample size. She didn’t think that was a commitment she was willing to make. So she would have to manipulate someone to do it for her.
Lunara was beginning to worry about her friends. They weren’t exactly fighting over Teyo but it's clear a cease fire had been breached. Kira watched Teyo’s interaction with Rin with a focus fit for a final exam. Lunara was beginning to feel lonely beside her. “Kira,” she squealed, “please talk to me. I want to understand what's happening. You’re in the chair next to me but i’m sitting alone”
Kire took a glance at her friend. “I’m sorry Lunara. This whole tutoring relationship is new to me and I’m not handling it very well am I?’
“Tutoring, that's what you're going with” beamed Lunara. Lowering her voice she continued “I get he’s cute but you’ve rejected cuter boys than him out of hand.”
Kira stole a glance over to Teyo and Rin, still conversing. “Being near him is intoxicating. I struggle to understand it. When I'm with him, I'm more me and I'm not sure if I like that or not.”
“Honestly that sounds delightful,” Lunara replied. “I would actually very much like to witness that. Could you invite me to your next study session? I promise not to throw myself at him” she said with a pleasant smile.
Kira waivered. Was she territorial enough to not invite Lunara to a place he would constantly be? No, she decided. She would not contribute to his isolation. Excluding Lunara being just 3 doors down in the same building was just a level of rude she couldn’t bring herself to be.
“Next time he invites me I'll ask if it's ok, Are you good with that?” Kira said, believing it to be a fair compromise.
Lunara excitedly nodded. Joining Kira in stealing a glance at Rin. “Oh no” Lunara gasps. “Rin looks like she's about to cry”
Kira nodded with smug satisfaction “Yes. He has a conversational style you have to get used to. I would just let you join but I want to understand and prepare you for it. So that doesn’t happen”
Lunara put her hands over her mouth in mock fear. “How can a conversational style make Rin cry?”
Kira responded holding back a mischievous grin “He can be so thoughtful it’s scary, I guess that's how I would phrase that.”
Lunara nodded and the 2 friends continued their lunch talking about lighter things.
