A cold, freezing, bone-chilling wind passed through the desolate Ice Plain known simply as Aura. All seemed quite, all seemed peaceful, until a bright flash of light tore the peacefulness apart. Immediately the once seeming desolate plain quickly exploded into life as countless animals, revealed themselves, scurrying away from the disturbance. As the Light receded, two figures stepped out of it. One of these figures was a tall man, dressed in robes of White Fur. He had Pale skin, crystal-like eyes, and long white hair. The other figure was a small boy, who looked to be about 12, wearing the same clothes, and appearance was strikingly similar to the older man.
It quickly came apparent that the two was not friends, as the older man with a laugh sent out a sharp kick to the boy's waist, sending him flying from the light. Landing a few meters away, the boy rolled to his feet. With an angry roar, he made a gesture with his hands. Suddenly three long icicles materialized out of thin air, each were about two meters long. Making another gesture the boy sent them hurtling towards the man. With a laugh of disdain the man simply stood there, when the Icicles were but inches away from his body, his eyes suddenly glowed, and with an almost invisible force extending from his body, the icicles were ground to dust.
"Stop this foolishness, boy. You fight like a newborn babe." the man said. The boy paid no heed to the man though, his eyes began to glow, his robes began to flutter, and with a massive shout the snow around the boy's feet began to swirl up, enveloping him in tornado of ice. With another shout the boy flung out his arm, the gigantic tornado consisting of thousands of pounds of ice and snow compacted into a small ball in his palm, the boy aimed it at the man's chest, and with an explosive sound like a thunderclap, it flew towards the man.
The man, with an intrigued expression, put out both his hands, intending to catch it. As the compacted ball of ice impacted him, the man's eyes bulged out, he was flung backward by the sheer weight of the ball. With an irritated grimace his eyes glowed again. The man abruptly rightened himself, now tossing the ball of Ice up and down as if it weighed nothing. The boy, seeing his attack didn't work, fell to his knees. He had used all the power he could muster, his qi was spent, and the fight left his eyes, leaving only sadness.

The man saw the boy finally resigned to his fate smiled, he dropped the ball of ice to the ground, where it quickly sunk into the snow, and walked towards the boy. "HaHa, you surprised me with that attack boy, I'm surprised your father taught it to you! Guess he really planned on making you the next head of our Nether Ice Clan, too bad, though, too bad." The man said, as he was walking towards the boy. Arcus lifted his head up, a mixture of confusion, sadness, and weariness on his face. As he looked up at the man, he opened his mouth to say something, but couldn't figure out what he wanted to say. Finally, he simply asked "Why?" Leaning in, the man asked "Why what?" as if he was savoring the moment. "Why didn't you kill me? Like father and mother?" the boy replied.
The man leaned back and pondered a moment, with a grin he leaned in close to the boy's face, and whispered "Who says I haven't?" with a lightning fast strike, the man pierced the boy's stomach with his finger, right above the navel, right into the boy's danatian. With an agonizing shreik, the boy collapsed, holding his stomach as he convulsed. The man started to walk away laughing, he knew once a person's danatian was pierced, the qi inside would run rampant, destroying the body inside out. The thought of the son of his worst enemy, the former patriarch of the Nether Ice clan, dying a slow death on some forgotten planet pleased him. With one last look at the boy convulsing in pain, he drew a talisman from his robe. Igniting the talisman, he disappeared into another flash of light.
