The sound of business was everywhere within the building.
He didn't expect the Adventurer Guild to be so organized and neat.
It was truly similar to a business job back in his own world.
After entering inside.
He could see a few receptionist workers.
As well as Staff workers making some sort of Tour for kids that possibly wanted to become adventurers themselves.
Not to mention the security here was pretty solid.
It's pretty impressive to be honest.
{Sure looks quite busy in here General! Considering how beneficial it is to become an Adventurer.}
The general didn't say a word in response.
He started to walk towards the Males and Females behind the counters.
"Hello and welcome to The Adventurer Guild! How may we help you?"
A male receptionist bows to the General.
And said politely before straightening himself upwards again.
The boy silently thought about it for a moment and smiles after making the final decision.
"I would like to register as an Adventurer."
The general responded and looked at the grown man.
"In order to become an Adventurer you'll have to pay a total of 25 Gold coins and testing in the trial grounds."
A Trial testing ground seems pretty reasonable.
It wouldn't look good on an Adventurer Guild if they just accept anyone so easily.
Testing was a very important key in order to see if they had what it took.
If they pass, then they could be Adventurers.
If they didn't pass then they wouldn't be accepted.
"If you pass the trial, then you should be fine, but if you don't, then you will not pass and there will a month period before you can try again."
The general nodded in acknowledgement with this information.
"What is your name?"
The receptionist asked while writing down on a piece of paper on the counter on his side.
"General."
He replies plainly.
"What an interesting name."
The grown man responded.
{I'm sure it wouldn't be tough General! You'll pass with flying colors in no time!}
The boy smirked at this comment.
He begins to open his pouch and take out a total of 25 Gold coins.
Setting it on the counter for the Male receptionist.
"Thank you! Please take a seat over there for the time being, we will notify you once we have prepared the Trial grounds for you."
The receptionist uses his left hand to guide his attention.
To see a couple of chairs line up perfectly on the side of the wall.
The general nodded to him and went to sit down.
{This is so exciting General! I feel like I can explode at any moment out of excitement!}
The boy shook his head and smirked to himself.
As much as the system could be a bit irritating.
It sure did express itself happily to him.
Which reminded him a lot of a person.
He used to be in his party group to help and defeat the violent villain.
Just remembering how he always cheer the group up whenever they would be in a dire situation.
But now it was a distant memory.
Memories of being betrayed at the end by his own friends.
Especially from him made the boy sadden.
"Um, Excuse me, but you wouldn't mind if I can sit here?"
A young boy spoke which snap the general from the bitter memories.
And looked up to see a boy.
He appears to be a farmer.
Brown hair, dark light skin, hazel eyes.
Bib overalls and farm boots.
"I don't mind."
The general responded and he sat down next to him.
Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.
There was an awkward silence between them.
The boy was observing quietly of Adventurers grouping up together.
Some preparing for a journey.
And others planning together what to do today.
"Looks lively right?"
The general turn to look at the kid quietly.
"I-I mean... Being an Adventurer of course! I always dream of being one and now that I reach the age of an adult, I can register into the Adventurer Guild now."
The farmer boy explains and blushes across his cheeks in embarrassment.
The general could tell he was trying to start a conversation.
He didn't mind since he did enjoy having a conversation.
"Being an Adventurer isn't easy from what I know."
The boy said to the Farmer and looks back at the crowd of Adventurers and staff workers.
All of them were busy and working hard.
"Y-Yeah, I always dream to be an Adventurer."
The general smiles and looks back at the farmer.
"Why do you want to become one?"
He asked curiously.
The farmer hesitated for a moment.
But he calms down and chuckles.
"Well, I wanted to be sure to have enough money to support my family, especially my mother who's sick."
The general understood and looked down between his legs and at the ground in deep thought.
The farmer boy noticed this and felt nervous.
As if what he said probably made him concern or trouble him.
"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to trouble you with my story..."
The young boy said.
"No, it's okay and I understand your reason for joining the Adventurer's guild, just do your best."
The farmer boy smiled at him.
He didn't feel nervous anymore.
"Excuse me to interrupt both of you, but General, your Trial grounds are ready."
The boy nodded and got up from his seat.
"Good luck with your trial General!"
The general turn to see him waving goodbye and does the same.
"Thank you."
A few moments later.
After following the receptionist.
They finally step outside to an open trial ground.
It was similar to a cycle stage.
"So you're the one called General?"
A tall, muscular man asked curiously while looking down at him.
"Yes."
The instructor made a grin while crossing his big arms.
"Let's see if you can pass the test then and that's defeating me."
The general narrow his eyes and stares at the 6 foot tall adult.
{Um, General... This might be tricky and a little bit harder than I anticipated.}
The instructor took out an iron sword and shield and walked towards the stage.
Turning around and still grinning at him.
The general lets out a sigh before walking onto the stage as well.
And holding his Short Iron sword and Wooden Iron shield in both his hands.
"Alright! Lets see what you got!"
{Objective: Defeat The Adventurer Guild Instructor for a reward.}
The instructor quickly swings his Iron sword at him.
But it was blocked by his Wooden, iron shield.
"Not bad, but let's see how long you last!"
The general starts to push forward against his sword.
Causing him to walk backwards as well.
Until he bashes his shield against his iron sword.
Making it bounce off of him and taking this opportunity to use slash attack.
"Nice try, but you could do better than that!"
The instructor moved his whole body to his right side in a blink of an eye.
Doing a spin maneuver and attacking the boy left side.
{General Look out!}
It took at least 2 seconds for the boy to realize what just happen.
Barely blocking the heavy blow with his shield.
The force was enough to make him slide backwards a few meters.
"Now it's time to end this!"
The instructor got into a stance with his sword and shield.
His body begins to glow.
{General! I think he's going to do a long range slash!}
"Here I come!"
The instructor charges at him in a remarkable speed.
Leaving behind him a cloud of dust.
The boy didn't know what to do in this sort of situation.
{General! Activate one of your abilities like Automatic Parry! But be aware it does have a 15 second Cool down time!}
The general narrow his eyes at the incoming attack.
Activating his Automatic Parry ability just in time.
While his iron sword was closing the gap between him and the boy.
The iron sword bunches away from him.
It was so fast not even the naked eye could see it
Except for the sparks that was made.
Iron clashing with Iron for a split second.
"What!? No one never has been able to parry my attack before!"
The instructor shouted out loud in shock.
He took this opportunity to attack.
And charging right at him.
The instructor begins to nervously laugh to himself.
Cold sweat appearing on his forehead.
There's no way he could take him head on.
The General threw his shield at him as a distraction.
Before jumping upwards towards him.
"What the-"
He struck the shield away with his iron sword, but he was too late to react.
The boy's boot already colliding against his face.
"Now you have done it-"
The instructor stopped when he felt a sharp object pointing against him.
When the general did a quick spin while kneeling and thrust his iron sword carefully against his stomach when it was unguarded and in the open.
"I can't believe it... I lost..."
{Wow General! I didn't think that move would work, but it did.}
A few minutes later.
The general observe his Adventurer Guild ID and smiles to himself.
While being guided by the Adventurer Guild Instructor back to the main area.
Where dozens of busy people were at.
"Nice job general, Welcome to the Adventurer Guild and also one more thing, Remember that Distractions don't always work for everyone and please keep that in mind and have fun!"
The tall, muscular said before waving goodbye and walking away.
Probably to test more newcomers that want to become Adventurers.
{Congregation's General! You completed the objective! Here's your reward!}
{You have Level up to Rank 3!}
{You have received 100 Gold.}
{You have received The Iron Shield.}
{You have received 10 Healing Bandages.}
{Congregations! You have finished The Objective: Defeat The Adventurer Guild Instructor.}
{You have received 300 Gold.}
{You have received 250 Points.}
{You have received a iron gauntlets.}
{Available Soldiers have been Increase!}
The general silently watch the rewards unfold in front of him.
Since he had a lot of stuff.
He would probably have to sell some of the items he already have.
They are all in good condition.
The boy begins to walk towards the exit.
"Hey General!"
A young boys voice was heard.
That had an country accent in it.
The general turns his attention over his shoulder to see who called his name.
It was the young farmer boy.
He stops in front of him while trying to catch his breath.
"General... I finally pass the Trial and now I'm a official member of the Adventurer Guild!"
The general smiles at the young boy.
"I knew you could do it, Good job."
Suddenly the farmer boy had tears emerging from his eyes.
"And... It's really... Thanks to you... If it wasn't for your encouragement... I wouldn't be able to pass the trial... Now I can support my family and my sick mother..."
The general watch silently of the young boy about to cry.
He felt compassion for him and embrace him into his arms.
"Thank you... General..."
The farmer boy softly said and started to sob quietly.
The general could understand how much he was going through.
Having to take care of your family.
And doing everything in you can to help your own sick mother.
It could be stressful for a kid.
Reaching that goal in order to help their family after training so hard could be emotional.
A few nearby Adventurers glance their way.
Staff workers that were taking a break were watching the scene with smiles.
The general place his hands on the farmer boy shoulders.
Grabbing his attention when he was done crying.
He was looking up at him.
Tears, slightly red hazel eyes, and snot sliding down from his nose slowly.
"Remember, if you ever face the danger of hopelessness... Don't give up."
The general spoke to him with a warm smile.
Painful memories of spears stabbing into him from all angles.
Why did they betray him?
How could he be a threat to society?
Even if he wasn't in that world anymore...
He still wanted answers but would he ever found them?
"I won't..."
The young farmer boy responded.
Soon they embrace each other again afterwards in silence.
Lost in deep thoughts.
One that's about finding a cure for his mother's sickness.
The other one just full memories and questions.
Sunlight shining on them through the open double doors.
{This is such a touching moment General! I can't help but cry!}
