Tomorrow morning.
After the anointing, Rheiner was now eligible to attend the esteemed school of magic, Gladria. Known as the premier institution for magical education for Paradreamers in Elarion, Gladria was a place where the brightest minds honed their skills and expanded their knowledge. Here, Rheiner would continue his journey, learning to master his newfound abilities and uncovering more about his unique connection to the Dreamstone.
Rheiner's first day of school began in the mid-year of 2248. Gladria, the premier institution of magical education in Elarion, welcomed hundreds of new students from various kingdoms. The grand campus buzzed with excitement and anticipation as young mages from different backgrounds converged to embark on their magical journeys.
Rheiner, now anointed as a Paradreamer, felt a mix of nervousness and determination. The vast halls of Gladria were filled with the chatter of new students, each carrying their own hopes and dreams. The school's reputation as a beacon of magical knowledge and skill attracted the brightest minds from Merion, Swheria, and beyond.
As Rheiner walked through the ornate gates of Gladria, he marveled at the intricate architecture and the enchanting aura that surrounded the place. The school grounds were adorned with lush gardens, sparkling fountains, and statues of legendary mages. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the soft hum of magical energies.
Orientation began with a grand assembly in the Great Hall, where the headmaster, a wise and powerful mage named Arion, welcomed the new students. Arion spoke of the rich history of Gladria, its commitment to excellence, and the responsibility that came with wielding magic. "Each of you holds the potential to shape the future," Arion said, his voice resonating through the hall. "Remember that great power comes from hard work, dedication and persistent, but the greater power, comes from the kindness of our hearts."
After the assembly, Rheiner and his fellow students were given a tour of the campus. They visited the vast library, filled with ancient tomes and scrolls, the alchemy labs where potions were brewed, and the practice fields where spells were honed. Rheiner was particularly drawn to the library, eager to delve into the wealth of knowledge it held.
After the tour, all new students were guided back to the training grounds, each student was tested with various tests to determine their specialty, strength and weaknesses. Regardless of status and lineage, Gladria’s students never prioritized or favored the students based on their social status. Each of them was selected and sorted to their class only with their capabilities.
After the tour, all new students were guided back to the training grounds for their initial assessments. These tests were designed to determine each student's specialty, strengths, and weaknesses. Gladria prided itself on fairness, selecting and sorting students into classes based solely on their abilities, irrespective of their status or lineage.
The first test involved elemental manipulation, a fundamental aspect of magical training. Students were divided into small groups and led to different stations, each dedicated to a specific element: fire, water, earth, and air. At each station, they were tasked with performing a basic spell to demonstrate their proficiency and control over the element.
Rheiner's group started at the fire station. An instructor demonstrated the spell, conjuring a small flame in the palm of his hand. "Concentration and control are key," he said. "Focus on the energy within you and direct it outward."
Rheiner stepped forward, his heart pounding with anticipation. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and concentrated. He felt the warmth of the magical energy within him, visualized it flowing to his hand, and opened his eyes to see a bright, steady flame dancing in his palm. The instructor nodded approvingly, noting Rheiner's natural affinity for fire magic.
Next, he was asked to manipulate a sphere of water suspended in the air. Rheiner focused again, feeling the fluid energy shift within him. With a gentle motion of his hand, he guided the water, shaping it into a perfect sphere. Once again, the instructor was impressed by his control and precision.
At the earth station, he had to lift and shape a chunk of rock. Rheiner found this task more challenging but managed to lift the rock and form it into a crude sculpture. The instructor noted that while his earth magic was not as strong as his fire and water manipulation, he still showed promise.
Finally, at the air station, he was asked to create a gust of wind strong enough to move a set of feathers. Rheiner concentrated, feeling the air currents around him, and with a swift motion, he sent a very strong breeze that blew the feathers high above the sky. The instructor raised his head looking for the feathers, but nowhere to be seen, awed by the feet, he recognized air magic to be his best elemental proficiency.
After the elemental test, Rheiner moved to the side of the hall and waited for the other students to finish the test. He eyed one of the students wearing eyeglasses, brown hair and slightly shorter than the other students beside him, Rheiner sensed a different vibe in him, so he observed the student further, the instructor shouted the student’s name “Mhegar of Moundor”. His affinity to fire, water and air is a little above average, what separated him from the rest is his mastery for earth magic, he created a golem using his earth magic, a live golem. Everyone was shocked and flocked over him after performing his magic, seems like everyone wants to learn how to create an animated golem.
Another student caught Rheiner’s eye, a bland looking girl with shoulder length amber colored hair, her uniform is a bit tattered, as if passed down from her older sibling. A Forhian girl, when tested on fire element, everyone was surprised how she created a blue flame, an intense thin flame that put a hole through the dummy target.
Everyone on the class is done with the elemental manipulation test.
“Now let’s proceed to the combat test, each of you will be paired randomly with another student, you will wear the training suit to minimize the damage and to measure the magic of each student” – The instructor said.
Rheiner observed the matches with a keen eye, taking mental notes on the techniques and strengths of his peers. The combat prowess displayed by many of the students impressed him, and he could sense that some possessed genius-level abilities. Determined to surpass them all, Rheiner watched intently as the match between Mhegar, the Marven with brown hair, began.
Mhegar stepped into the arena with a calm and focused demeanor. Rheiner, using his heightened sensitivity to mana, observed the Marven's mana circulation. He noticed that Mhegar's mana was concentrated in his core, indicating a strong and efficient control over his magical energy.
As the duel started, Mhegar wasted no time. He channeled his mana into the ground, summoning a golem that rose swiftly from the earth of the arena. The golem, a towering figure made of stone and dirt, moved with surprising agility, reflecting Mhegar's mastery over earth magic. The sight of the animated golem drew gasps from the spectators, who were clearly impressed by the display.
Rheiner watched closely, analyzing Mhegar's technique and the flow of mana between the Marven and his golem. He noticed how Mhegar maintained a continuous connection to his creation, directing its movements with precision and finesse. The golem executed a series of attacks, combining brute strength with strategic maneuvers, showcasing Mhegar's deep understanding of combat tactics.
As the duel progressed, it became clear that Mhegar was not only skilled in summoning but also in controlling multiple aspects of earth magic simultaneously. He used the golem as both an offensive and defensive tool, creating barriers and launching projectile attacks while maintaining his connection to the construct.
Rheiner couldn't help but be impressed by Mhegar's performance. He realized that to surpass such talented peers, he would need to refine his own skills and develop new strategies. The match ended with Mhegar's golem overpowering his opponent, earning him a decisive victory.
When Rheiner finally stepped into the arena, he faced a tall Elarian with a bulky build, grey hair, and black eyes. The training suits they wore would minimize damage and measure their magical output. Rheiner focused, ready to prove his strength and control over his abilities.
The match began, and Rheiner immediately sensed the intensity of his opponent's magic. The bulky Elarian lunged forward with a powerful earth spell, attempting to trap Rheiner with a surge of rock and soil. Rheiner reacted swiftly, using his air magic to create a gust that lifted him above the ground, avoiding the attack. He countered with a stream of fire, forcing his opponent to defend.
As the battle continued, Rheiner showcased his versatility, seamlessly switching between elements. He combined his fire and air magic to create a fiery whirlwind that disoriented his opponent, followed by a precise water attack to douse the flames and create a slick surface. His opponent struggled to maintain footing, giving Rheiner the upper hand.
Finally, Rheiner used his control over air to generate a strong wind that knocked his opponent off balance, ending the match decisively. The instructor noted Rheiner's exceptional control and strategic use of multiple elements, praising his performance.
All of the students were done with the combat training, the instructor gathered them all at the center of the arena.
“The results of your training will be measured and analyzed, we will post your names and your section on the announcement board tomorrow morning”. you are free to explore the school but bear in mind, older students tend to train everywhere, so be careful, and don’t do anything stupid on your first day” – the instructor said with a firm voice.
After the students dispersed, Rheiner wasted no time and approached Mhegar, Mhegar looked at Rheiner with an annoyed look. “I’m really tired right now, I don’t know why you think I will teach you guys my magic so easily as if I didn’t practice years before I mastered it”.
Rheiner knew Mhegar was already annoyed with the other students flocking to him about his magic, but with a determined look, he answered. “I can teach you how to efficiently maneuver in air if you teach me how to summon your golem”.
Mhegar's expression shifted from annoyance to curiosity. Rheiner knew that mastering wind magic to change positions would be beneficial for Mhegar, allowing him to stay safe in battle while his golem fought his enemies. Recognizing the potential advantage, Mhegar's attitude softened.
"Alright," Mhegar said, intrigued. "Let's see what you’ve got."
They began walking around the school grounds, exchanging knowledge and techniques. Rheiner explained the principles of air magic, focusing on agility and control. He demonstrated how to create gusts of wind to propel oneself in different directions, emphasizing balance and precision. Mhegar listened intently, trying out the techniques and quickly grasping the basics.
In return, Mhegar shared his expertise in earth magic. He explained the process of summoning a golem, starting with the importance of connecting to the earth and channeling mana into the ground. Mhegar demonstrated how to shape the earth into a golem, maintaining a continuous flow of mana to control its movements. Rheiner watched closely, absorbing every detail.
As they practiced, Rheiner found himself growing more adept at summoning earth constructs, while Mhegar's ability to maneuver in the air improved significantly. Their collaboration not only enhanced their individual skills but also fostered a sense of camaraderie between them.
While exploring the school, they stumbled upon a secluded garden, a tranquil spot away from the bustling main grounds. They decided to make it their training area, a place where they could practice and refine their techniques without distractions. The garden's serene atmosphere, with its lush greenery and gentle breeze, provided the perfect setting for their magical training.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the garden, Rheiner and Mhegar sat down to catch their breath. "You know," Mhegar said, "I didn’t expect to learn so much from you. Your air magic is really impressive."
Rheiner smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "And your golem summoning is amazing. I never thought I'd be able to control earth magic like this."
Going back to their rooms, Rheiner thought about the application of his new gained knowledge about golems, he could summon a small golem and make it move but its movement is still loose and foggy.
As he lay on his bed, he thought about all the things he wants to accomplish. Unbeknown of his vision, Rheiner’s goal is as much as every student in this school. To be strong and successful, and to be recognized as an accomplished adult in the future.
Nighttime comes, and Rheiner fell asleep, unto the Dreamscape.
In the Dreamscape, Rheiner focused on training his golem summoning and control over it. He never left his room and instead concentrated on casting multiple miniature golems at once using the stone walls and ground in his rooms. He successfully created up to three miniature golem but the third one was deformed and could only twitch a little.
The next morning, the announcement board revealed the sections and rankings of the new students. Rheiner and Mhegar found their names listed among the top performers, Rheiner ranked 15th while Mhegar ranked 10th. A testament to their hard work and dedication as well as their gap to each other.
On their first day of class the students were divided into their respective sections. Rheiner and Mhegar were both placed in the Advanced Magic Theory class, a testament to their high rankings. Their first class was led by Professor Eldric, a seasoned mage known for his deep understanding of magical principles and his strict teaching style.
Professor Eldric began the lesson by outlining the curriculum. "In this class, we will delve into the fundamental theories that underpin all magic. You will learn about the intricate balance of elements, the nature of mana, and the ancient laws that govern our magical practices. This knowledge is essential for any mage who seeks to master their craft."
As the lecture progressed, Rheiner found himself captivated by the depth of knowledge being shared. He took meticulous notes, eager to absorb every detail. Mhegar, sitting beside him, was equally engrossed, their shared passion for magic creating a silent bond of camaraderie.
During a break, Rheiner and Mhegar discussed the lecture, exchanging insights and questions. "The concept of mana resonance is fascinating," Rheiner remarked. "It explains so much about how different spells interact."
Mhegar nodded in agreement. "And the idea that our own emotional state can influence the flow of mana... it's something I hadn't considered before. It makes sense why control and discipline are so emphasized."
After the break, the class moved to the practical training grounds, where they would apply the theories they had learned. Professor Eldric demonstrated a complex spell that required precise control over multiple elements. "Watch closely," he instructed, "and then you will attempt it yourselves."
Rheiner and Mhegar watched intently as the professor seamlessly wove together fire, water, earth, and air, creating a harmonious display of elemental magic. When it was their turn, Rheiner focused on his control, carefully channeling his mana as he attempted to replicate the spell. His fire and air magic came naturally, but integrating water and earth required more effort.

Mhegar, on the other hand, displayed a natural affinity for combining earth and water, though he struggled with the subtleties of fire and air. They both made steady progress, their mutual support and encouragement pushing them to improve.
As the class came to an end, Professor Eldric praised their efforts. "You have both shown great potential. Remember, mastery takes time and practice. Continue to refine your skills and deepen your understanding."
Feeling both challenged and inspired, Rheiner and Mhegar left the training grounds, ready to tackle whatever came next. Their first day at Gladria had only just begun, but it was already clear that their journey would be one of growth, learning, and the forging of powerful bonds.
It was late in the afternoon, Rheiner and Mhegar ventured the grounds of Glardia, they went to the spot where they trained yesterday, as they get closer to the previously secluded garden, they notice someone was already there, a Forhian girl, the same girl Rheiner observed from the assessment day.
She was practicing with her fire element, adjusting her blue flame from short to long sword like form.
Rheiner and Mhegar looked at each other and decided to approach her. Noticed by her, she deactivated her spells carefully and immediately, as if protecting anyone accidentally getting burned with the intense heat.
“Hi! My name is Rheiner, this is Mhegar”
The girl responded shyly. “H-hello, I’m Freiha”. Bowing her head slightly afraid and seems a little embarrassed about herself, hesitant on her answer, she shyly faced away on them and walked away briskly with both her hands covering her mouth.
Rheiner rhetorically asked Mhegar. “Well, she’s a little shy, isn’t she?”
“That was awkward, welp! at least we now have the space so we can practice our magic” – Mhegar answered.
Hours passed and they both practiced their earth and air magic. Rheiner can now summon three fully formed miniature golem while Mhegar can now swiftly change direction midair. They continued to each other what they lacked before taking a break.
Sitting at one of the benches in the garden, Rheiner asked Mhegar. “You think we could ask Freiha to teach us her magic like we did to each other?”
“I don’t know, we can try. Why do you want to learn her magic?” – Mhegar replied.
“Fire and air is highly compatible, if I can harness her intense flame with my wind magic, I can go to even faster speeds.”
Mhegar contemplated. “That’s pretty good, then why did you ask me to teach you about golem magic?” – Mhegar asked Rheiner.
“Well, you can’t always have a sparring partner in Dreamscape right? I’m planning to summon golems in there and have them as sparring partners and moving target dummies. Plus, if I can control them effectively, I can let them do chores in my room” – Rheiner answered in a serious tone.
Mhegar burst out a small laugh while being astonished by the thought of making golems do chores. “You really are something” – Mhegar continued laughing.
“Well, it’s getting dark now, let’s go back to our dorms” – Rheiner
“Sure, if we see the girl again tomorrow, let’s ask her if she could join us in our practices” – Mhegar replied.
Night comes and Rheiner was eager to practice more in Dreamscape, he thought about Freiha and tried mimicking her fire techniques, he condensed his mana in his palm and created fire. Experimenting different approaches with his mana towards the fire, it expanded rapidly and almost burned his eyebrows.
“Well, better do it in the Dreamscape than risking myself, or this room” – Rheiner said to himself.
On the third day in his Dreamscape, Rheiner decided to visit his home, Glardria is a one hour walk to their home. When he arrived he saw his father outside their house sitting in a bench reading a book.
“Father!” – Rheiner greeted happily.
“Hey son, how you’ve been? – Rhenar asked happily seeing his son back from the academy.
“I’m good, everything is so fun and I’m learning tons of stuff! I also made a new friend” – Rheiner replied excitedly.
Rhenar knowing his son’s charismatic and friendly attitude isn’t surprised. He asked, “Why the sudden visit?”
Rheiner explained the reason of his visit is to reference his new acquired skills to the combat capabilities of his father as a knight in the kingdom. He then shared the things he did and learned in the academy. They talked for a couple of hours when Rheiner decided to go back to the academy to practice more on his skills.
Rheiner then used his air techniques, to jump high into the building rushing back to the academy.
While running and jumping back building to building, he tried condensing his mana in his feet and created a fire, he rushed 70% of his mana capacity to his feet and into the fire below his feet to enhance the flame hoping for it to increase heat intensity and turn blue, it didn’t.
The sudden burst of mana outputted in the fire below his feet created a large fire burst and launched him almost 300 meters above the sky. He free-fell into the ground until at least 50 feet, he then generated enough wind pressure to create a wind cushion to lessen his impact to the ground and stood on his feet.
Rheiner is almost at the academy with the stunt he did, he walked through the academy’s gate and goes straight to the secluded garden where they practiced earlier, by his surprise, she saw Freiha and greeted.
“Hey Freiha!”
Freiha looked at him in surprise and greeted back confidently. “Hello Rheiner.”, she smiled.
Rheiner a little shocked, the shy girl he met earlier was nowhere to be seen. Freiha in Dreamscape is confident and can talk to his face directly.
Rheiner asked her. “Hey, you think you could teach my friend and I your flame techniques? In exchange, we would teach you how to enhance your air manipulation and even summon golem”.
Freiha was intrigued by the offer but politely declined. “Don’t mean to be rude but I’m not into summoning golems”
Rheiner thought of how to convince her and thought of an idea. “Can I show you something instead?” – Rheiner asked.
“Sure” – Freiha responded.
Rheiner started gathering mana into his feet and jumped in the air with his mastery in air manipulation. Freiha not changing her expression as it seems like normal air manipulation, he then started going faster and faster that Freiha could barely keep up with her eyes.
Rheiner stopped just right above Freiha floating just three feet from the ground. He then condensed more of his mana in his feet and started creating a flame beneath his feet. Freiha changed to a curious complexion and waited for the result.
Rheiner then burst out all of his mana capacity into the fire that resulted into huge smoldering fire beneath him resulting in a rapid eruption catapulting him almost 500 meters above the sky.
Freiha stunned with this and thought of all the things she could do if she could master air element in this level as well.
A few seconds later, Rheiner fell into the ground head first, laying on the ground smiling, seeing Freiha approaching in his peripheral view.
“How about that? Want to join us now?”
Freiha smiled with an impressed look. “Sure, I would love to learn from you guys.”
The next day comes, Rheiner and Mhegar listened to the lesson about the continent’s kingdoms, how important to know them and their cultures.
The Six Kingdoms:
Corha (North Kingdom) - In the north lies Corha, the largest of the six kingdoms, characterized by its cold, mountainous landscape. Humans here have developed unique adaptations to survive the harsh environment. The Corhans, as the people are known, have pale white skin, stocky builds, thick light blue hair, and eyes that vary from grey to green. Their robust physiques help retain heat, providing better insulation against the cold. Corhans are renowned for their raw strength, a necessity in their challenging habitat.
Forhein (West Kingdom) - To the west is Forhein, a lush red enchanted forest known for its unique red leaves that span all over the variety of trees within the forest. These leaves and trees are highly resistant to fire and burning, a mystery that leaves modern scholars in awe. The forest is home to myriad magical creatures and plants found nowhere else in the world. The people of Forhein, known as Forhians, are distinguished by their amber hair and red eyes. They are believed to be blessed by the forest's magic, granting them unique abilities and characteristics tied to their mystical environment.
Merion (East Kingdom) - In the east lies Merion, a mountainous kingdom with majestic peaks and deep valleys. Dominated by towering mountain ranges with snow-capped peaks, Merion is home to the Marves. These people are experts in using the mountains for their technological advancements. Marves specialize in mining, crafting weapons, and creating technology that aids them in their daily lives. Although shorter than average humans, they compensate with their strong cores, craftiness, and precision in their crafts, unmatched by any other clan in the continent.
Swheria (Southwest Kingdom) - Swheria, in the southwest, is characterized by vast swamplands that define its landscape and culture. These swamps vary in depth and vegetation density, from shallow marshes to dense mangrove forests. Swherion, the main inhabitants, are known for their swimming capabilities, aided by their slightly webbed fingers and toes, allowing them to navigate the waterlogged terrain. Rumors suggest they can predict weather changes and are natural-born navigators.
Deserion (Southeast Kingdom) - Deserion, regarded as one of the poorest kingdoms on the continent, is a desert land with limited resources. Home to the notorious Buriolis, giant sandworms that prey on anything moving above the surface, the people live on large stone outcrops safe from the sandworms. The inhabitants, known as Dhesians, are mostly adventurers, nomads, and immigrants with no other options. The kingdom is ruled by a diplomat from Elarion who ensures taxes are collected. Deserion is famous for its hunting grounds, attracting adventurers seeking fame and gold by hunting Buriolis, whose parts are highly valued.
Elarion (Middle Kingdom) - Elarion, in the center of Paralion, is the capital of trade and a cultural crossroads. Renowned for its wealth in gold, power, and knowledge, Elarion is home to the Pure-bred Elarians. Distinguished by their greyish-white hair, Elarians believe the whiter the hair, the closer one is to the ancient gods. They claim lineage from a time when the old gods walked among mortals, lending them a sense of reverence and prestige.
After their history class. They proceeded to their actual combat class, Rheina, seeing Freiha on the other side of the class, he called out to his friend Mhegar, and both of them decided to approach Freiha.
“Hey Freiha” – Rheiner
“Hello Freiha” = Mhegar
“H-hello Rheiner, M-Mhegar” – Freiha replied shyly.
Rheiner realized Freiha is more confident in Dreamscape than in real world, though he noticed, he didn’t bother to mention it. He then explained to Mhegar that she agreed to train with them.
Eldric, their professor called to everyone signaling the start of their class.
“Let’s proceed”
There are three arenas in their classroom, all three held training duels to the whole class.
Rheiner and Freiha was then called out by their professor, signaling for both of them to go to the arena to start with the mock duel.
Rheiner knew Freiha's capabilities and decided to avoid close combat, opting instead to utilize his air manipulation to maintain distance. The arena was spacious, giving him plenty of room to maneuver.
As soon as Eldric shouted, "Start!", Freiha's eyes lit up with a determined fire. She wasted no time in conjuring her blue flames, shaping them into a long, sword-like form. Rheiner immediately propelled himself backward with a powerful gust of wind, gaining altitude and creating distance between them.
Freiha advanced, her flame sword crackling with intensity. She swung it in a wide arc, sending a wave of blue fire towards Rheiner. He responded swiftly, summoning a gust of wind to deflect the flames. The fire dissipated, but Rheiner could feel the heat even from a distance.
"Impressive," Rheiner muttered to himself. He needed to be cautious and strategic.
He focused his mana, creating miniature whirlwinds around his hands. With a swift motion, he sent the whirlwinds towards Freiha. She countered by spinning her flame sword in front of her, creating a shield of fire that absorbed the wind attacks.
"Not bad, Rheiner," Freiha called out, a hint of a smile on her face. "But you'll need more than that to win."
Rheiner grinned. "Just getting started."
He summoned three small golems from the ground, commanding them to advance on Freiha. The golems moved swiftly, their earthen bodies sturdy and resilient. Freiha's eyes narrowed as she prepared to face them.
The golems closed in, forcing Freiha to focus on defense. She slashed at them with her flame sword, melting through their rocky forms. Rheiner took advantage of the distraction, using his air manipulation to propel himself high into the air. From above, he condensed a large amount of mana in his palm, preparing to unleash a powerful wind blast.
Freiha destroyed the last golem and looked up just in time to see Rheiner descending rapidly. He released the wind blast, aiming it directly at her. Freiha reacted quickly, summoning a protective barrier of blue flames around herself. The wind blast collided with the flames, creating a powerful explosion that sent shockwaves throughout the arena.
Both students were thrown back by the force of the blast, landing on opposite sides of the arena. They got to their feet, breathing heavily but still determined.
"You're good, Freiha," Rheiner admitted, wiping sweat from his brow. "But I won't give up."
"Neither will I," Freiha replied, her flames burning even brighter.
They charged at each other again, their attacks more intense and focused. Rheiner used his air manipulation to dart around the arena, launching precise wind attacks, while Freiha countered with her masterful control of the blue flames.
The duel continued, both students pushing their limits and showcasing their incredible skills. The class watched in awe, captivated by the display of power and strategy. Eldric observed with a keen eye, noting the strengths and weaknesses of both students.
Finally, after an intense exchange of blows, Eldric raised his hand. "Enough!"
Rheiner and Freiha stopped, panting heavily but still standing strong. They looked at each other and shared a nod of respect.
"Well done, both of you," Eldric said, stepping forward. "You have demonstrated remarkable skill and determination. Keep this up, and you'll both go far."
Rheiner and Freiha smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. They knew there was still much to learn, but this duel had strengthened their resolve and solidified their friendship.
As they left the arena, Rheiner turned to Freiha. "That was an incredible duel. Thanks for pushing me."
Freiha nodded. "Same to you. I think we make a pretty good team."
Mhegar, who had been watching from the sidelines, joined them with a grin. "You two were amazing out there. I can't wait to see what we can achieve together."
The trio met up in the secluded garden for their first combined training session. The setting sun cast a warm glow over the garden, and the three students were eager to start practicing together.
"Let's begin with some basics," Rheiner suggested. "We can each demonstrate our techniques and then break them down for each other."
Freiha nodded shyly, her confidence from the previous night still nowhere to be seen but decided to go first. "I'll go first." She stepped forward and conjured a small, blue flame in her palm. With a few graceful movements, she extended the flame into a long, sword-like shape. The intensity of the blue flame was mesmerizing.
"This is amazing, Freiha," Mhegar said, clearly impressed. "How do you control the shape and intensity like that?"
Freiha explained the process of focusing her mana and visualizing the desired shape, emphasizing the importance of precision and emotional control. Rheiner and Mhegar listened intently, absorbing every detail.
Next, it was Mhegar's turn. He demonstrated his golem summoning technique, bringing forth a small, but sturdy earthen golem from the ground. The golem moved with surprising agility, responding to Mhegar's commands.
Rheiner and Freiha watched closely as Mhegar described the intricacies of channeling earth mana and maintaining a strong mental link with the summoned creature. Freiha, while not particularly interested in summoning golems herself, found the explanation enlightening.
Finally, Rheiner demonstrated his air manipulation skills. He showcased his ability to change direction swiftly in mid-air and his advanced maneuvering techniques. Freiha and Mhegar watched as he gracefully soared above the garden, using gusts of wind to propel himself with remarkable speed and precision.
"You make it look so easy," Freiha said, her eyes wide with admiration.
"It's all about practice and understanding the flow of mana," Rheiner replied, landing smoothly. "Now, let's try combining our skills."
The three of them spent the rest of the afternoon practicing together, sharing tips and techniques. Rheiner helped Freiha enhance her air manipulation, allowing her to control the movement of her blue flames with greater precision. Mhegar, in turn, learned to create a more stable base for his golems using Rheiner's insights on air pressure and balance.
By the afternoon, the trio had made significant progress. They were exhausted but exhilarated by their accomplishments. Sitting on the benches in the garden, they reflected on their training.
"This is just the beginning," Rheiner said, looking at his friends. "We have so much more to learn and achieve."
Freiha nodded. "I never thought I'd be able to control my flames this well. Thank you both for your help."
Mhegar grinned. "And I never thought I'd be able to maneuver in the air like this. We're definitely on the right path."
As they made their way back to their dorms, they felt a strong sense of determination.
Later that night, Rheiner entered the fourth day of his Dreamscape, feeling more confident and motivated than ever. He practiced the techniques they had discussed, pushing himself to new limits.
The next day, the classroom was abuzz with chatter as students settled into their seats. Eldric stood at the front, his presence commanding attention. He tapped a chalkboard with his staff, drawing intricate symbols representing the various elemental forces.
"Today, we will discuss the concept of elemental equilibrium," Eldric began, his voice resonating through the room. "Understanding this principle is crucial for any mage aiming to master their craft."
Rheiner listened intently, curious about how this knowledge could enhance his control over wind and potentially his new experiments with fire.
"Elemental equilibrium," Eldric continued, "refers to the balance between different elemental forces within a spell or magical practice. When elements are balanced, the resulting magic is more stable and powerful”.
Let me introduce you guys to Shernon, “Can you standup and get in front” – Eldric pointed to one of the students sitting in the room.
“Shernon is from Swheria, his magic specializes in water and earth.” Eldric positioned beside him in front of the whole class waiting for the Shernon to ready up.
“Can you please demonstrate your magic”
Shernon got into spell casting position and casted his earth and water magic, creating a small vine that slowly rose above the ground reaching 5 feet tall and created a beautiful flower at the top. The students got up to their seats and walked near him and were amazed by the display of skill.
Eldric then said. “This is plant magic, it’s a combination of earth magic and water magic, with their innate talent and the means to adapt to their environment, Swherions are proud bearers of vines magic, it’s passed down generation to generation but as you can already guess, it’s an advance manipulation of earth and water magic.”
“Take this as a base on how to create an elemental equilibrium on the elements you’ve already mastered”.
Eldric then proceeded to discuss further on the rules and techniques of elemental equilibrium.
By listening to Eldric, Rheiner can already see why he can’t seem to get his air and fire magic to balance and use it to maneuver himself faster.
Mhegar on the other hand is thinking about making a lava golem, combining his earth magic with fire.
While Freiha could only think on how to make her blue flames fiercer with the help of air magic.
