Updates on Kingdom Come

Well, first up, I'm very sorry for vanishing. After euthanizing our horse, my wife needed a great deal of care. In the time between now and then, we also moved house to a different city, and I finished up what turned out to be a 170,000 word book. To finish Kingdom Come, I was writing up to 5000 words a day, every day, without a break for about 3 weeks and was just too exhausted to edit AND update.

But I DID finish it, and the move, and my wife and I are still (reasonably) sane. And after the feedback from the comments on chapters here, I did the same thing I did for Dragon Seed and made a lot of improvements to the story, including making it more obvious that this isn't a harem story.

I admit I was demotivated to post because of some of the comments and messages I was getting, where I was being attacked for supposedly writing a harem series. As an author, I cope pretty well with founded criticisms, but some messages I was getting were pretty stressful to deal with on top of dead horse and moving sixty miles. That isn't to say I don't appreciate the feedback, but yeah. You know.

Anyway: today and tomorrow, Dragon Seed is free on Amazon, and until midnight tonight (PST +10), the second book in series, Trial by Fire, is 60% off. The complete 911-page monster that is Kingdom Come is available to order here: https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07QLBF516.

As always, it's enrolled in KU, so I can't post it here. What I WILL do is post the first 10% of all three books on this thread, because my Amazonian lord and master permits that.

I plan to write a second Gamelit series in the coming months while I work on Archemi #4, with the first three books in advance and posted on here, so it's not the last you've heard of me or my work. As it stands, my family now has a much nicer, less shack-like residence, and the troubles of the last 12 months are finally receding. We cleared the hump, so to speak, and things are looking up in terms of a writing/posting schedule in Q3&4 2019 through to 2020.
