Two hours left on the clock before the tournament starts. All that time Alex trained Broly to control his power, and he surprisingly did. Broly, like many of the other Commandments, is a prodigy in fighting.
Broly is the type who learns as he fights strong opponents. Paragus, his father, was not strong, which is why Broly never managed to unleash his full power.
And another that whenever Broly ever had the chance to transform, Paragus would shock him out of fear that he might blow up the planet, or that Broly might end up killing himself.
Although it's been more than two days since Alex trained Broly, it literally felt like minutes to Alex compared to the time he spent in Purgatory.
Meanwhile…
Now that there is less than 12 hours before the tournament begins, the rest of the characters were thinking hard to decide their ten candidates.
So far, they were a few short.
Beerus and Whis kept eating to their heart's content. Earth might be destroyed so this might be the last time they will ever have good food to eat.
"Oh! AH! *Cough*" Whis seemed to remember something, must have been important because he almost choked on the food he was eating.
"What's wrong, Whis?" Asked Beerus.
"I just remembered something. There might be another powerful member we can recruit." Whis wiped the food from his mouth with a napkin.
"Is it Monaka?" Asked Goku.
"I told you that Monaka isn't feeling too well. SO NO!"
"I know, I know." Goku laughed it off as if it was nothing. The others felt that Goku was stupid to not have realized that Monaka is actually really weak, but still stronger than Krillin.
"I distinctly remembered that there was a reading on somebody achieving a high power level on a far planet."
"And you didn't mention this until now?!" Beerus was furious.
"Beerus-sama, I told you about this individual but you said 'forget about it' which is why I didn't bring it up till now."
"Wait… I remember that." Beerus was too focused on food that he had almost forgotten as well.
They were naturally talking about Broly.
"So where is he?" Goku pounced with joy, the thought of having another powerful member made his blood boil.
"Let's see…" Whis looked at his scepter and looked for someone.
"He is only 8 minutes an 13 seconds away. Not that far."
"Then what are we waiting for, let's get him or her."
"But, Beerus-sama, what if he doesn't want to?" Krillin asked.
"Then I will threaten to destroy him if he doesn't want to."
"We'll be back in about 30 minutes. Until then rest for the tournament."
And like that, both Deities left the scene.
"Man, I wonder what this guy looks like." Goku waited in anticipation.
"Let's hope he is not a weakling. I will not stand to work with anybody weak." Vegeta grumbled, then looked at Krillin.
"What?" Krillin asked confused.
"..." Vegeta.
Meanwhile…
Alex felt that time was up and he needed to go. Even though there was less than 2 hours left, he felt that it would take some time to make it to universe 9 and take their spots.
"Broly, let's go."
Broly was slowly eating a burger which turned out to be his favourite food. He chomped it down whole and ran beside Alex.
Alex already bought another Commandment, the Commandment of Piety, the same one that Meliodas and Zeldris had, it is a very formidable power indeed.
Now anyone who turns their backs to Broly shall serve him. This confirmed that they now had 9 Commandments, only one more to go.
The reason why Alex never changed Commandments, is because he felt that the Commandment of truth suited him most. And also this is the Commandment he had in him for his whole life, departing with it is like departing with a special memory.
Looking back, Alex felt that it has been a long and hard journey. The weakling he was before, is now a powerful monster, going face to face with Goku and Saitama.
"System, take us to the One Punch Man world."
{Very well}
Alex missed the other bluescreen. He had more fun talking to her than this plain and simple screen.
Both of them disappeared from that planet. Minutes later, two powerful deities showed up to find no one on that planet.
"Whis? Is this the place you talked about?" Beerus asked after sensing no one on that broken planet.
"Indeed it is. But now I cannot see any readings… strange." Whis thought that maybe his scepter was malfunctioning and hit it a few times.
"I knew it was too good to be true… oh well, let's go before it's too late." Beerus wanted to leave immediately to keep eating.
"My, my Beerus-sama, you are taking this quite well."
"Whatever. Let's go."
"Very well." Whis smiled and headed back to Earth with no good news on hand.
Meanwhile…
Alex and Broly appeared in a different world. The Commandments were still there, most of them at least.
"Alex." Linlin and Lili seemed happy to see Alex again, they leapt into his embrace filled with nothing but love for him.
"I'm back. How long was I gone?"
"A few weeks at most. We missed you." They snuggled to his chest like a pair of kittens who want to be spoiled. Now that they are married, this action felt normal to them.
The rest of the Commandments knew already that they were married, and did not pay much attention to them.
"I missed you two. Ah, I would like you to meet Broly, the 9th Commandment. He is a little shy but please try to get along with him. And also, do not provoke him."
Broly did not say anything, he only bowed to them out of respect.
Madara, Mihawk, Steven and Eggy recognized Broly from that vision they had. That vision of theirs seemed to be getting closer by the minute.
"Nice to meet you, Broly." Linlin and Lili bowed to him out of respect. They have heard about Broly's power from Alex long ago.
"What about Garou, did he decide to join us?"
"I did, actually." A voice sounded behind Alex and Broly, it was Garou. He did not look anything human, but rather a demon.
He had two horns sticking out from the side of his head. His face was demonic like something out of a conjuring movie, his eyes were black like two endless voids.
"The fuck happened to you?" Alex did reach the One Punch Man manga, but not that original. The manga thus far has yet to make it to Garou's final forms.
"After fighting the Commandments, I have come to achieve this form of mine, which I call 'God slayer' a form of a monster which is more powerful than any S-class hero."
"... I have been living for many years, and even I know that this is bullshit… and I love it."
"He did transform, but he is still only as strong as me." Eggy said, a bit bitter that a human is as strong as her.
"Really? Not bad at all. But this also meant that you had to give up your humanity, is that alright for you?" Alex asked.
"I have always seen myself as a monster for the longest time. Giving up my humanity to get this form is only a side-benefit."
You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.
"I see… are you still planning to betray us at some point?"
"Yes." Garou answered without hesitating.
"Good. You can have this Commandment." Alex has already bought the Commandment of Faith long ago, it was perfect for Garou.
"Wait, he just admitted to betraying us, and you're still gonna let him join?!" Eggy retorted, but the rest did not faze at all.
"Eggy, truth to be told, I actually did expect some of you to have betrayed me by now, and I am glad none of you didn't. And even if you did, do you honestly think that any of you can kill me or anybody in this group, without having to face any consequences?"
Knowing the rest of them, Alex was prepared long ago for a betrayal, especially Madara or Meruem.
The rest already knew this as well. Going against Alex meant that they would die. Alex had the infinity stones, had a system, and lots of other powers that can kill them all in an instant.
Unless any of them had a death wish, then they would never betray Alex.
"I see…" Eggy sighed in realization, it was dumb on her part to worry something as little as that, but she did it out of good intention.
"I guess now that makes 10 Commandments. Great." Alex was now beyond happy, his long life dream of gathering the 10 Commandments has been achieved.
Having to call themselves 'the Ten Commandments' without actually having 10 members started to feel dumb, until today.
"Question, Garou, why did you change your mind? I was certain that it was going to take a lot more to convince you to join us." Alex asked, since he wasn't here he didn't know.
"The others convinced me to join. I also wanted to be stronger than I am right now."
"I thought you didn't want to owe me anything?"
"I might be proud, but I am not stupid. Rejecting the chance to become stronger would be dumb. I should take the chance to become stronger if the opportunity presents itself."
"Well said." Alex faced the Commandments, all powerful and proud. Never has anybody seen such awesomeness in one spot.
From the Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, One Punch Man, Martial God Asura, and Dragon King's son-in-law, all powerful beings, some well known throughout Earth, were all standing together side by side, ready to fight.
And the best part, Alex was the leader of this amazing group, as well as the strongest and most respected.
"I want everyone to listen. Where we are going now, is a place called the 'tournament of power' . It is a place with numerous powerful experts, some with the power of Gods who can destroy planets with a finger. After this battle, you can do whatever you want. You can go back to your homes, another world, continue to follow me, I don't care."
Out of all of them, only Meruem and Eggy want to go back home. Meruem missed Komugi and missed their times playing Gungi. Eggy wanted to be back with her family.
The rest are unsure whether they want to go back home, or continue following Alex. Only time will tell.
"So after this, does that mean we won't be Commandments?" Madara asked.
"No. You will always be a Commandment, unless you don't want it anymore. We should discuss this at a later time."
Madara agreed.
"Hm… I would have never seen myself like this. Being the leader of this powerful group. Being the husband of two beautiful wives."
Linlin and Lili only smiled and held hands.
"Also having so many friends. It's unreal. I am not a man of faith, but I believe that it is that very same thing that brought us here together, faith. Some of you are actually here due to faith."
Alex looked at Meruem, Steven and Eggy, all three of them were unexpected surprises.
"You're not going to start crying on us, right?" Mihawk asked jokingly.
"Ha! Not yet."
"You know, since we are now all a complete team, and we have a name, we need to have something else that defines us, like a team chant." Eggy added.
"A team chant? I like your idea, Eggy. What should our team chant be?" Alex asked.
"Oh, how about something about all of us?" Lili said.
"Something short and simple yet powerful." Madara said.
"Is this even necessary?" Meruem/hater of fun, said.
"Something related to swords."
"It should be about Asuras."
"Something about love." Linlin said.
"Guys, it should obviously be about monsters killing heroes."
"..." Broly didn't care, he just wanted some burgers.
"Guys, an original idea that defines all of us, and does not lean on one side over the other." Alex interjected.
"Neigh."
"Oh… that's not bad." Meruem understood Steven.
"You can understand him?" Asked a shocked Alex.
"I can. He said 'how about this chant, it's short and simple, and defines us all: Called by fate, time to be great.' is what he said."
"Called by fate, time to be great. I like it. Let's put that to a vote, anyone else like it?"
"I do."
"Me too."
"It's not bad."
"Could have said something about Asuras, but it'll do."
The rest agreed to Steven's team chant. Steven felt proud that his idea was well liked.
"Called by fate, time to be great, simple yet powerful, like us. It even rhymes." Alex did like that chant a lot.
"Okay, let's go now. We shall chant it when we have the chance. System, take us all to the world of Dragon Ball Super once more."
{As you wish}
A portal appeared before them and they all left that world for good.
On top of a pile of rubble, was a cyborg who sat there patiently, as if he was waiting for something. It was Genos.
"I wonder when Master will be home…"
Alex and the others appeared on the same planet they were on last time.
"Help… can't breath." Garou had trouble breathing, since he wasn't immortal, he couldn't breath.
Alex used the infinity stone to fix that little problem. Obviously, Broly had already been given immortality by Alex, so were the rest.
The only one who did not want immortality or infinite stamina, was Garou. The reason for that is so he could become more powerful when facing powerful enemies, like a Saiyan, he becomes powerful with every battle he loses, or when he almost died.
"System, how much time left till the tournament begins?"
{50 minutes}
"That's a decent amount of time." Alex activated the space stone, and arrived at universe 9. He practiced that when he was helping Broly off-screen.
And if anyone else feels that time is off, just remember that 5 minutes in Namek is 2 months in real life.
In a small world, filled with a great scene filled with flowers and a clear blue sky, there were over 10 individuals, some with amazing power, and there were others whom were very weak.
"Okay, we have everyone. Trio de danger, and the rest." The Supreme Kai counted everyone to be sure.
"There is still 49 minutes left." The Angel from that universe said. He didn't care if they won or not, he won't get erased either way.
"You're just acting like that because you won't get erased."
"Ohoho, you might be right."
"Dammit. It's all because of that Goku. If it weren't for him, none of this would have happened." One of the wolves said angrily.
Even if Goku did not propose that idea to Zeno, there was still a huge chance that all 8 universes would still be erased. In fact, some could say that Goku gave everyone else a chance to live.
Of course, the dumbassess didn't think that, and shifted all the blame on Goku. No one could blame Zeno, because they would get erased on the spot.
"Hello." A voice said behind them.
Turning back, they saw 10 unknown individuals, all with unknown power.
"Who are you? And how did you all get here? This is the sacred land of Kai's, no one should be able to get here." The Supreme Kai angrily said.
"We came here because we heard that there was a tournament going on. We do not want to get erased, so we are here to win, naturally."
"Ahaha, I see." The God of Destruction said.
"We don't need you, weaklings. The Trio de Danger will win the tournament."
"Is that so? Are you saying that those 10 are stronger compared to us?" Alex said in a mocking tone.
"Yes."
"Hm… how about a light spar. Of course the strongest ones here should be able to participate, because the stronger ones means that this universe will have a higher chance of winning."
"I know that. But we don't have the time." Roh, the Supreme Kai said.
"Actually, we do, there is only 45 minutes left. Plenty of time." The Angel named Mohito said. (I am sure that his name is a dish or something that I had at a Mexican restaurant… it is not m being racist, just a fact)
"We should let them spar. I am quite curious to see their power." God of Destruction said, his name is Sidra.
"We indeed should. This should be a practice for us before the real deal." The eldest Trio de Danger said.
"Very well. How should we do this?"
"I have an idea, one of us versus the 10 of you at the same time." Alex proposed this idea.
"Do you mock us? There is no way that one of you alone can defeat all of us."
"How about this, if all ten of you win against one of my group members, then we shall immediately leave. How is that?"
"We accept." Roh said.
"Meruem, go."
Meruem stepped forward and faced the universes' 9 most powerful candidates.
"He doesn't even look like much, we can take him."
"I shall start the match." Mohito stood beside them and prepared to signal them.
"Meruem, just don't kill them." Alex said.
Meruem stood still, not bothering to do a stance. But the rest of his opponents were ready to kill.
"Start!" Mohito waved his hand.
2 seconds later…
All 10 members of universe 9 were on the ground, barely alive, broken beyond repair.
"Jesus, Meruem, you took one second longer than you should have." Alex said seriously, he was not joking.
"It was hard not to kill them."
The Supreme Kai and God of Destruction were beyond shocked. Their universe 9's greatest fighters didn't last three seconds against Meruem.
"Are… are you kidding me? The Trio De Danger lost?" Even if it was a sneak attack, not even Goku could do something like that in such a short amount of time.
The wolves would have responded, but they did not have the will to do so.
"Wait, are you the strongest fighter?" Sidra asked Meruem.
"I am not the strongest. I am not sure, but I think I am the 5th strongest." Meruem answered truthfully.
Had it not been for Broly, then Meruem would be the 4th strongest.
The strongest was Alex.
Second is Linlin.
Third is Lili.
Fourth is Broly.
Fifth is Meruem.
Sixth is Steven.
Seventh is Madara.
Eighth is Mihawk.
Ninth is Eggy.
And tenth is Garou.
Once again, they were shocked to hear Meruem say that. He wasn't the strongest, and yet he took out their entire group in an instant.
"Does that convince you, or do you want to fight me?" Alex proposed.
"No, no, you have proven your worth." Sidra had no problem at all. This meant that their chances to win are higher than before.
Roh did not want to admit, but their lives were on the line. He had to cast aside his pride for the better good.
"We should go now. There is still 40 minutes but that should be enough time to test out and see the new field they set up." Mohito said.
"Very well." Roh seemed very afraid for some reason, when he looked at Alex, he felt as if death was creeping up on him.
"High Priest-sama, we are ready." Mohito said through his scepter.
"Very well. You will be teleported now."
A blinding light covered them all, and they left. The ones who were left were the 10 other candidates who were beaten by Meruem, they might die if no one attended their wounds.
Next, they saw a simple yet magnificent battle arena. It was currently being fixed by 3 Gods of Destructions.
"It's bigger in real life." Alex had seen this place before, but it was on a screen. The real life version is completely different,
Alex had already thought of this many times when he visited other worlds like Naruto and such, and it never ceases to amaze him.
"Forgive me, but we never caught your names. I am Mohito, the Angel of universe 9." Mohito bowed before Alex and the rest.
"I am Sidra, the God of Destruction."
"And I am Roh."
"I am Alexander Anderson. These two are my wives, Linlin and Lili. This is Meruem, Eggy, Garou, Steven, Madara, Mihawk, and Broly, they are my friends."
"Saviour, is that…" Linlin pointed at a spot.
Following her finger, Alex saw many familiar faces on one spot. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Freeza, and the rest.
'Goku… I am going to enjoy killing you.' Alex thought.
"It seems you are familiar with universe 9." Mohito caught on.
"Sort of."
"Do you guys need to go over the rules?"
"I don't, but they do. I will be right back." Alex left the spot, he was very familiar with the rules of this tournament.
"Very well. The rules are…" As Mohito explained the rules to the Commandments, Alex made his way to Goku and the rest.
They all sensed Alex approaching them with no ill intentions.
"Hey, Whis?" Beerus said.
"Yes, Beerus-sama?"
"I don't remember seeing that guy on universe 9. What's more is that those Trio de idiots are not there either."
"It seems that they have been replaced. How weird." Though he was curious, it did not matter what happened to the Trio wolves.
Alex made his way to introduce himself to Goku and the rest.
When he first saw Goku in Dragon ball, he was infatuated by the great anime, it was his favourite out of all the other animes for the longest time. In fact, Dragon ball was the first anime he had ever seen. It could be said that this anime is the reason he became an anime fan in the first place.
Now that he had a chance to meet his idols, he was not going to waste it.
"Son Goku, I have heard many things about you. I cannot wait to fight you." Alex extended his hand towards Goku.
"Sup. I am glad to fight you as well… um."
"My name is Alexander Anderson."
"Alexander… what about happened to those Trio guys? They were pretty strong."
"That's a secret. So long." And just like that, Alex left without saying much. He just wanted to introduce himself, not to befriend them.
"Hm…" Goku was just staring at Alex's back.
"Kakarott, look."
Goku looked where Vegeta was pointing, and saw a huge Saiyan within Alex's group.
"Another Saiyan? I wonder just how powerful he is." Goku got fired up when he saw Broly. For some reason, he could not tell just how powerful Alex was, maybe because he looked plain compared to most people.
"Man, there are too many Saiyans in this place. It is starting to sicken me." Freeza found it disgusting, but did not move.
Alex expected Goku to see his power, but was too stupid to realize it. He will see when Alex takes action in the tournament.
"And that is all." Mohito explained to the group the rules of the tournament, then he flew to the benches floating on the side.
"Good luck to you." Sidra also left. He was surprisingly a nice God of Destruction, which does not make much sense.
Roh looked at them for a moment but did not say anything and left.
"This is interesting, Anderson. You weren't lying when you said that there were gonna be powerful beings in here." Madara cracked his knuckles as he examined everyone.
"I rarely lie… and also, do you see that guy?" Alex pointed at a gray individual, it was Jiren.
"If you want to fight them, then do as you will. But be warned that he is on a different level than the rest of you."
"... are you saying that he is as strong as that Saitama guy?" Eggy asked.
"It's hard to say." Alex didn't know if Jiren was as strong or stronger than Saitama, there was only one way to find out.
Jiren noticed that they were talking about them, but ignored them.
*Boom*
*Boom*
…
Finally, there was silence. The Gods of Destruction had finally finished fixing up the arena.
"Everyone, may I have your attention please."
The High Priest said loudly enough for everyone to hear him. Nobody uttered a sound, they all bowed before him, only the Gods though.
"I am pleased to announce the start of the tournament. You will have 100 taks, or 48 minutes. The rules are simple, knock off the opponent off-stage but do not kill them, or you will be immediately disqualified. If an opponent cannot continue fighting but is still in the arena, they are still safe until they are knocked off-stage. No weapons are allowed, only skills are allowed. No enhanced drugs are allowed either or any healing items as well. All flying shall be off-limits, only those with wings can fly. Break the rules and you will not participate in the tournament anymore. And the universe who loses all 10 of their fighters will have their entire universe erased by Zeno-sama and future Zeno-sama."
Everyone nodded. The rules were simple enough that even a kid could understand.
"Zeno-sama and future Zeno-sama have something to say."
"Hello, thank you for joining in this tournament. Please show us something amazing."
"Say, can we take them on?" Garou asked. He planned to attack the kids before they could kill anyone.
"If you want, go ahead, but I don't think that I could resurrect you."
Garou shrugged it off and tossed away that stupid plan of his to the garbage.
"And now, we shall commence the start of the tournament."
Everyone got ready to strike, most of their ill intentions were aimed for universe 7, which is Goku's universe.
"Start!"
Seconds later, there were loud noises of fighting throughout the stage. All kinds of fighting could be seen everywhere, but the one thing they had in common was that it was chaotic.
The Ten Commandments did not move and inch, yet. The anticipation in their eyes could be seen clearly.
Alex clenched his fists tightly. He also wanted to fight not just them, but the Angels and the other Gods. His biggest obstacle are the Zeno's, but Alex believed he could counter them with his infinity stones.
Alex had no plans to use the infinity stones yet, as that would reveal his greatest trump card.
Alex raised his fist up high in the sky, so did the others. It was a simple stance but they looked amazing.
"Called by fate, time to be great!" They all chanted in unison, this is their last time together as a group and they were going to make the best of it.
As if they were waiting for that moment to come, most of them went their separate paths. The only ones who stayed were Broly and Alex. Alex stayed because he did not want to bother himself with the weaklings. He would rather fight the best, who are going to be the last ones remaining.
Broly stayed because he did not feel comfortable fighting, unless if he were to be provoked.
