Once the two of them woke up they went through their morning routine. They ate, showered, sent out more keys and did a general sweep of the library to make sure it was clean. Once that was done The three of them stood near the main counter and looked at the upgrades in the books. All 3 of them had a copy of the book that they could summon so that way they didn't have to crowd around one small book. Looking at it they waited for Isaac to do the upgrade since he was the only one who could as the main keeper of the library.
"Alright are we all ready?" Isaac said looking at William and Val.
"Just do it already. Stop stalling for time." Val said playfully smacking Isaac.
"I'm not stalling! I am just nervous."
"There is no reason to be nervous Isaac. Nothing bad will happen as the library will take care of the main part. You are just giving it the go ahead." William said with a comforting tone of voice.
"Yeah what William said. So just do it already."
"Alright here we go then."
Isaac touched the word upgrade next to the summoning room and the energy gathering room. Suddenly the floor near them trembled a bit as a magic circle was drawn on the floor with 2 symbols appeared. Then the left wall trembled before 2 different doors showed up with a sign on the door saying both summoning room and energy gathering room. A small slot appeared next to each door showing the cost to use them in EC. Isaac could adjust it but for the level 1 room it was set at 5 EC an hour. That seemed reasonable to them so they left it alone. Now that they were done with that they headed back to the main desk and opened up the library for people to come in. As they waited for people to come in Isaac and Val slowly worked on cleaning their energy veins more.
Slowly the day passed without them thinking much about it. 1 new person has shown up and was quickly signed up before they went off. They came back a few minutes later asking about the 2 doors on the left and what they were for. After a quick explanation the person quickly went back to looking through the books saying they will get some EC before they leave. Isaac and Val took shifts watching the main desk while the other one meditated and gathered energy to clean their veins. It was an extremely slow process but they had nothing better to do. While it was Isaac's shift to watch he soon grew bored and went to find a book to read. He picked up one titled [Basic Rune Language for Beginner Magicians].

Thinking this would be good to read to have the knowledge to cast spells when he became able he quickly sat back down and started reading it. [Runes are just one of the many magical languages out there but it is the most common one to come across. Each rune is like a letter and when they are grouped up they form words. So runes are just like writing out the spell you wish and then imbuing energy into them to get the desired effect. You need to make sure that when you write it out you write it without making any mistakes as that can mess with the rune. Also as you write it is best to pass energy through the rune to form the runic pathway properly. This is just a rough idea of rune making and for more in-depth details look for my other books.] It then proceeded to explain how to properly write out the runes and which runes are best for which situation along with different elemental runes.
As he sat there and read he pulled out a few sheets of paper to write notes. He began to draw out different runes to get used to writing them out. He also bean to draw out a few very basic magic circles to get an idea of how to make them. He didn't have enough knowledge to make complex ones because he just didn't have the required information. But a bonus of working and living in the library is that he is surrounded by books filled with knowledge.
As time passed Isaac got sucked into studying and reading. He didn't realize that a few hours have passed and it was time for Val to switch with him for manning the counter. Val slowly crept up behind Isaac before grabbing him quickly scaring him and causing him to scream out.
Isaac turned around in shock wondering who grabbed him. When he saw it was Val he yelled at him.
"What was that for?! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Isaac said while smacking Val on the arm.
Val stood there laughing and was having trouble breathing from laughing so hard.
"It is my turn to switch with you so you can meditate." Val said still chuckling. "I tried calling out to you a couple times but you didn't respond at all so I had to scare you. You were so sucked into your studying and reading it was quite easy to sneak up behind you. I was being kind of loud with my sneaking. Anyways move so you can go meditate."
Isaac blushed in embarrassment after Val told him that. He quickly cleaned up his notes and then went to sit on the ground in the magic circle William left for them to practice. Closing his eyes and sinking into gathering energy he lost track of time.
As time passed they were growing tired and as no more people came in to the library they decided to close up for the day. Going through and cleaning up the library they quickly locked the doors before heading to take a shower and sleep. They managed to clean the energy veins in their first finger after spending many hours practicing. They still had a long way to go but they are slowly making progress.
