(Ancient Era)
The ground shook with behemoth tremor, a battlefield a chaotic symphony of power and prowess as the Seven unfazed and determined warriors faced off against the colossal Titanforge Drednir.
The earth titan loomed over them, eyes ablaze with ancient knowledge and strength that seemed to shake the very ground beneath them.
From the pitiful and sorry state the environment is, deep crates and spiderwebs crack spreading as far as the eye could see, coupled with the debris of destroyed trees, mountain and building around.
One could tell how immerse this battle had been, even the river at one end seem to have been redirected by a deep crack fissure cause by the battle.
If one hadn't witnessed this battle and saw just the aftermath, they would conclude a powerful earthquake had taken place here.
Still at the state the environment is, the battle is anything else than over, all seven warriors breathing and precipitating from the long dragged battle that seems to have no end.
When it looks like all is lost and the warriors are at their wit's end from the exhaustion and injuries they had sustained till now
Nerida's healing waters surged forth, revitalizing her allies as they pressed on against the relentless onslaught.
Adrik, the Emberheart warrior, unleashed torrents of dark fire that clashed against the titan's stone skin, causing cracks to form with each fiery strike.
Drednir roared with rage, changing its focus from the warrior he was battling with, charging over to Adrik.
Aeris, of the Silverwing bloodline, danced through the air with unparalleled speed, manipulating the very elements of air and water to create a tempest that battered at Drednir's relentless pursuit of Adrik who had distanced himself from Drednir's pursuit.
The others didn't stay idle either, Draven, the Blackthorne warrior, fueled by immense physical strength, charged over to face Drednir head-on, standing firm against the titan's earth-shattering blows, his dark magic intertwining with the shadows to deliver devastating strikes.
Utilizing his shadow for a quick maneuver, escape, or sneak attack at Drednir.
Lucian's divine light helped from the side, shielding Draven from the titan's seismic power, creating a barrier of pure energy that repelled the onslaught.
Harmony and Orion fought as one, their powers of darkness and light combining to unleash a whirlwind of primal energy that lashed out against Drednir.
While Aria's illusions weaved a web of confusion around the titan, causing it to stumble and falter in its movements, creating a chance for the others to either deliver a deadly blow with the strange flame-like energy they all possess that seems formidable enough to hurt Drednir as the latter seems to be wary and conscious of it.
Each of their attacks is coated with this energy which proves effective in taking down Drednir.
Gaia, the Ironclad warrior, stood resolute as she channeled the power of light to pierce through the titan's defenses, weakening its resolve with each blinding strike.
The battle raged on, each warrior pushing themselves to their limits as they launched a coordinated assault against the titan.
Drednir wasn't an easy foe too; he gave the warriors hell, especially with its special ability that seems to slow things down.
If not for Aria's timely illusions and Nerida's healing powers, revitalizing them, they would have met their end for sure.
With a mighty roar, the earth titan's form began to crumble, its ancient power fading under the relentless barrage of attacks.
In a final, explosive climax, the Titanforge Drednir fell to the combined might of the Seven Omnislayer Bloodline warriors, their unity and determination proving to be the key to victory.
As the dust settled, the warriors stood victorious, their world saved from the brink of destruction as they emerged triumphant in the wake of battle.
But the aftermath robbed them of the joy of victory; more than two-thirds of the earth is gone, and pain and sorrow embrace them as they felt the weight of loss.
More figures came out from the wreckage done, some climbing out from under debris or fallen trees, destroyed buildings and all.
Just like the seven warriors, they had a grim expression on their faces when they looked around.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
From their disheveled and battered looks, rough and torn clothes, broken weapons, and so on
One can tell they too had taken part in this world-shaking battle.
"Taking out the last one of those Vermin sure took its toll on earth, but I'm glad we could still save what was left of the place we call home," one of the figures that had emerged from the wreckage said, with the others nodding silently to his words.
With the world been saved from the brink of extinction, the loss is worth it, as it could be considered sacrificing many for few to live
This invaders such had push the hands of earthlings to a break point which in turn usher in a new era
With what's left of earth, everyone can pick the pieces and forge a new and better path that would never put them in such situation ever again.
An era of the evolution of earth, At least that is what the books say, no one presently alive was there back in that time line....
"Seriously, paraphrasing the information those old dead hags left behind proves hectic. Damn, why didn't they have smart devices back then? Many of these things are missing. Not that it matters though, as I already got the gist. But still, those dumb oldies should have invented smart technology then."
A young man, about 16-18 years old, cursed loudly, garnering the helpless gaze of the other youngsters in the vehicle with him.
There were a total of six of them in the car, a mix of genders, four boys and two ladies, all suited up as if they were on a journey for mountain hiking at the dead hour of the night. Driving a lonely path up hills, the car sped up as if in a race against time. "You've got to calm down, Adrian. This is..." Wanting to mention the number of times Adrian seemed to have gone over that piece of old scroll parchment in his hands, "well, like countless times you've gone over that parchment. It's not like we haven't deciphered a few things from it. We are just a few steps away from confirming them, so chill."
The youngster driving the car consoled Adrian while he stepped on the gas, the others within the group nodded in agreement.
The information they deciphered from this old-looking scroll was shocking. It could be a wild goose chase as it might just be a mythical nonsense some jobless old fool took his time to write over a cup of tea leaves.
Still, it was worth giving it a thought. No one would believe such stories in this well-advanced and civilized world anyway.
So the group was just treating this as an outing for fun to explore and gain a pleasurable experience. After all, there were a few beauties amongst them.
The car followed a designated route till it finally came to a stop in the middle of nowhere deep inside the woods.
Each figure within the car highlighted, with Adrian taking the lead as he acted like he couldn't wait to explore.
"Seriously man, you need to calm down," a young man different from the one that spoke at first said. He placed his hands over Adrian's shoulder, pulling his agitated mood back down like a fine tuner. "I'm cool, Gary," Adrian replied with a helpless smile. "For someone who decided to tag along just because of a woman, you seem pretty sociable. Why not show these skills to wow her other than hiding in the shadows?"
Gary's face took on a helpless look. "You know me, man. We've been friends since childhood. I'm not like you who has the boldness to approach and get all the women you want, not to consider that I'm not half as good-looking as you."
"Lame," Adrian spat out at his friend as he walked away to grab a few things he needed from the trunk of the car.
"Come on, Sarah, it's just a couple of hours, and everyone else is here too. Besides, I've got my eyes on you like a hawk," Gary, who had gathered boldness to walk over to his crush, said when he saw her uneasy with the place they were. He reassured Sarah while helping her with her bag like a good gentleman. He had had eyes for Sarah for a while now. But she seemed not to be noticing his subtle advances, even when he joined the same clubs she was in and attended those boring classes he wouldn't dare if he were in his right mind. Fortunately for him, she had a knack for exploration and a cut above life on the edge experience, which happened to be his best friend's specialty.
Seeing Adrian going crazy over some ruin stuff he chanced upon and was preparing to explore, he took the opportunity to bring her along. Who knows, maybe things might work out from here. All he had to do was play his cards right.
Sarah, on the other hand, couldn't help the feeling of being watched the moment Gary said those words. Her skin was crawling, and her hair was standing on end. She darted her gaze left and right in search of what could have given her such a feeling but to no avail. She didn't see a thing out of place, she could only remind herself that it was just her imagination playing tricks on her.
"Wow, you brought a gun?" Matt exclaimed as he noticed Ben with the weapon, one of the other two had brought a gun to the exploration. These two, just like Adrian, love the cutting edge life experience. They loved doing the crazy and dangerous things as if that was the only way to truly live for them.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to use it on any of you guys," Ben chuckled, playfully toying with the gun. "I brought it just in case, since this is the first time we are exploring a tomb or something."
"Ruins," Matt corrected as he packed up his bags and touches need too, The others felt relieved, knowing that Ben's lighthearted nature made it unlikely for him to pose a threat
secondly, that idea of bringing a gun along sure is impressive, there is no telling what this ruin had in store for them
They resumed gathering their belongings from the car and the next minute are on the move again, venturing deep into the woods
Unaware of what the night holds in stock for them.
