Kanta leaned back in his seat, tipping it just enough for the front legs to hover off the ground. He casually swung his arm over the back of the chair.
"You should've told me you lost your wallet and train pass," Kanta said, shaking his head. "I wouldn't have lost my 'risk-free' bet. Seriously though, in this day and age, why are you still using a physical train pass? You’ve got the newest iPhone—use it for something useful."
Kim chuckled, leaning back as well, as if he’d heard this lecture from Kanta a thousand times. "Try telling my dad that. He says physical passes are more reliable."
Kanta let his chair drop with a thud, the front legs slamming back onto the floor. He leaned forward, his expression shifting from playful to serious. "By the way, have you found your wallet?"
Kim shook his head. "Nah. Checked the lost-and-found, but nothing. I think I lost it in the cafeteria yesterday."
Kanta’s eyes narrowed as if piecing something together. "If you dropped your wallet there, someone would've turned it in by now. Meaning..."
"Meaning?" Kim echoed.
Kanta leaned closer, his voice lowering. "Meaning it wasn't an accident. Got your iPad with you?"
Kim blinked in confusion, then nodded slowly. "Yeah... why?"
"Give it here. And move closer." Kanta signaled with a nod for Lada and Tanya to join them. The two girls exchanged curious glances before making their way over.

Kim handed over his iPad, and Kanta opened the browser, typing swiftly. The screen flickered, showing a login page. Kanta entered a username and password, and suddenly, multiple video feeds from different angles of the school cafeteria appeared.
"What—how?" Lada gasped, her eyes widening.
Kanta shrugged, still focused on the screen. "You know the bald danger? Vice headmaster? The pedophile's got cameras everywhere. Those smoke detectors in the cafeteria? Yeah, they're cameras."
"Wait, but what if there's a fire?" Kim asked, half-joking.
Kanta smirked. "We die. Blame the perv."
"Oh my god, I'm never going in there again," Tanya murmured, her face twisting in disgust.
Kanta shot her a sideways grin. "Think it’s only the cafeteria?"
Lada clutched her chest protectively, eyes darting around the classroom. "Wait, you mean—"
"Relax," Kanta hissed, gesturing for her to lower her voice. "No cameras in places that actually need privacy—just public spots like the cafeteria and halls."
Kanta looked up at Lada's chest, inches from his face. "You're safe. Not his type."
"Ew." Lada’s face twisted further, clearly disgusted.
Kim cleared his throat. "How do you even have access to these cameras, Kanta?"
Kanta’s lips twisted into a mischievous grin. "Long story short, the guy’s an idiot. Uses the same username and password for everything. That’s how I got in. And that’s how I know his, uh, preferences."
"Ew," Lada repeated, louder this time.
Kanta skimmed through the footage, fast-forwarding until yesterday's lunch break came into view. They watched as Kim navigated through the crowded cafeteria, and then—there it was. A quick bump. A wallet slipped from Kim’s pocket into someone else’s hand.
"Ichida," Kanta muttered.
"Of course," Kim sighed, shaking his head. "I should've known."
Lada frowned, crossing her arms. "So, what’s the plan? Report him?"
Kanta looked up at Kim. "You want your wallet back, right?"
"Yeah, obviously," Kim nodded. "Not much cash, but all my cards and stuff are in there."
Kanta’s grin turned sly. "Then we're gonna ask nicely."
Lada shot him a skeptical look. "Nicely? How?"
Kanta leaned back, his eyes gleaming with confidence. "I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse."
