Kana death god
chapter 3 she remembers

chapter 3 she remembers

????: I'm Kana Elen Vera Ruby.

The werewolf charged her as it let out a growl. Kana sidestepped in annoyance as she stared back at the werewolf.

Kana: I have a question for you mister wolf. I know you can hear me. Why did the gods of this world abandon this world. Also it seems that this world itself hasn't had any death for 350 years. Tell me what you know, why are you killing when there's a imbalance in these world since there's been no death for so long.

Werewolf: I'll tell you nothing.

Kana: How rare your indifferent even in front of a death god. That's a rarity to you but since you wont talk I guess I'll have to do this a different way.

(Tear and Fiona are discussing in Kana's room has she gone insane.)

Kana: guess I'll have to ask your soul.

While she tightly gripped her death scythe in her hand her hair color changed into a silky black. Kana swinged her scythe above her head as the werewolf stared at her in awe.

Kana: just because you can kill doesn't mean anything. To me a death god you will die regardless if you can kill these people from this medieval world that hasn't tasted real death before. (Ah I so wanted normal but those annoying elders.)

Werewolf: you call yourself a death god but you look human.

Kana's eyes glowed silver as she glared at the werewolf. You will regret making me your enemy though all I wanted was to be left alone. He was surprised with her accuracy of her swings at him as he kept trying to dodge. The werewolf had just side stepped when he noticed that wherever her scythe touched withered and died.

Werewolf: that weapon is dangerous.

Kana: actually it's a first time for me since I usually guide souls. I can see the death itself wrapping around you from those girls death. I'll have you repat them back.

Werewolf: how are you going to do that?

Kana: I'm a death god. What do you think.

He didn't see it coming as she swing her scythe and cut him in half.

Kana: a pity.

She stretched her hand to his head and a blue orb of light floated in front of her.

Kana: I see so what your saying is your race of werewolves aren't afraid of killing since there's nothing that can harm you. Also that they can die no but no one believes it. How troubling since I'm the only death god that means I also have to guide souls. Just how much imbalances do you think happened to this world which took for granted those gods. There's the rebirth cycle going off course. The newly born aren't dying normally and those old men are 350 years or older now think they're immortal. I can't even sense the other gods.

Back in Kana's room.

Fiona: you sure she's not insane.

Tear: no because I could hear her talking to that glowing light.

Kana: what's worst is this world has super powers and not magic for a medieval culture. Hey don't just agree that I'm pitiful for having magic.

The blue soul bobbed up and down as Kana guided it and the other 4 girls that it killed to the other side. She was displeased she had to do some extra steps so they wouldn't remember their life before.

Kana: I don't think anyone wants to remember being eaten by a werewolf.

She headed to the room where the 4 girls dismembered body was and snapped her fingers. The room reverted to clean furniture and a empty room. She went to the smashed door and the dead teacher. Her hair turned back to it's original color with a beautiful dark blue. But she stared at the scythe in hand.

Kana: mind explaining now.

Other kana from scythe: What if I said I was the other part of you that they tried to erase her memories but was sealed inside the scythe instead.

Kana: I don't believe you.

Sycthe: short version we were a death god broke some petty rules and had our memories erased as well as reborn. Oh too bad this world's cycle of rebirth and afterlife ain't working since there's no other death god.

Kana: so what rules did you break as a death god?

Scythe: being friendly with the soul I was supposed to guide, helping a girl at the crosswalk from dying, physical contact with humans, talking to humans who are supposed to die, preventing some deaths and granting wishes.

Kana: Ruby, can I call you that while your inside the scythe since we have same first name.

Ruby: sure you can. Oh before you forget you can hide me from sight by thinking about a large empty room in front of you and stuffing me in there.

Kana: by the way in what way were you a death god. From what you said you mostly helped those dying.

Ruby: uh.......I just wanted be a normal girl but being born a death god wouldn't allow that. Plus my ability backs fire.

Kana: and that'd be?

Ruby: since your calling me by last name instead our name Kana. I'm not like the rest of the death gods whom were once humans that died from suicide. My ability allows things to die regardless if they're a thing or a person. Withering things is just a tiny part of it. Also I don't run out of magic like the rest.

Kana: Aren't you a outcast.

Ruby: I guess.......

Kana was surprised that the scythe (other kana) had stopped talking. She headed back to her room where Fiona and Tear sat on her bed and gave her a look like spill the truth now.

Kana's hair changed to black and her clothes changed to black kimono with a red butterfly that looked like it'd come out any time.

Kana Ruby: so you want me to spill. Hm I told her my story already Tear. I'm sure you two over heard since it's your ability.

Tear: No I meant what you meant about the afterlife thing.

Kana: acutally how about I tell you a fact since you forced me ouy instead of awakening me like with the werewolf. You forced other Kana to cease to exist. I can use magic for hair hair color change but I can't change my silver eye color. So what are you going to do since I can't pretend to be you girls' Kana.

Tear's eyes widen as she stared back at Kana.

Kana: or you two can do the paperwork or I can do mass hypnotism on the whole school that she never existed.

Tear: don't ignore my question.

Kana: easy let's say the afterlife is the reward you humans get for hardwork. But as it stands there's no one else filtering all those information or how the person's life ended or the details of their life summary. You can say the gods abandon your world or they forgot you. There's also the fact that there's a lot of people being born but not as much dying as they're supposed to.

Tear: And why do you act like it doesn't involve you.

Kana: it doesn't involve me much since they're starting to die a lot now that I've awakened. Your question should be where are those dead souls going without a death god to guide them. Oh be happy those bodies aren't turning into zombies.

Fiona: Give back our Kana.

Kana: so delayed.

She shifted away from Fiona's hug and she slammed into the door behind Kana.

Tear: so your saying it's dangerous for the souls.

Kana: they could turn into evil spirits too if left alone but its not my problem.

Tear: aren't you a death god

Kana: I was thrown into this world against my will. Second I didn't. Wish for the power to kill. Though that wolf was a exception. I could guide souls if I see them along the way like those 4 girls I saw. I can't go everywhere plus there's the mess of no information being organized that and I took a look at the office of thr former death gods of this world. It's like they vanished with no trace. That's the feelings I got from looking.

Tear gave her complex look like is thay why you brought all those files to me.

Kana: you organize it since you're so worried about it student council president.

Tear: wait this one's from 350 years ago and the rest is out of order.

Kana: that's just request and names of those that's supposed to die back then can you organize a list for me. (Though I don't want to work and kill those souls but they're worn out and those bodies are also taking its toll. They may think they're immortal because they lived longer than the average life span but their souls wont be able to take more. As such the rebirth system was supposed to be implemented.)

Tear: (on the verge of crying) these are like a library of files and complaints as well as names and cause of death that didn't happen.

Kana: oh the sickly one didn't die and stayed sick that's a pitiful thing.

Tear glared at her as if to say so how are you going to do this.

Kana: give me names from 350 years ago. I'll set things right. (Sigh)

Fiona: Did you two just ignore me.

Kana: can you do paperwork?

Fiona: (dejected) No.

Kana: there's your answer.

Tear grabbed a pile that seemed to be about 15 ft tall and handed to Kana.

Tear: Do these first I'll also tell the teacher your busy today so you better finish that in one day.

Kana: this'll take more than a day to travel this much.

Tear's bloodshot eyes silenced Kana as she silently took the list. Tear had worked all night until dawn she was tired and heading to the dining hall for breakfast sluggishly. Fiona who had just woke up stared at Kana confused.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Tear fell asleep eating breakfast and Kana had to leave to find the people on the list. Fiona's amazed someone can fall asleep while still feeding themselves. (Hint: Tear)
