The more I read about this game, the more amazing it seemed. A game in which our very morals were questioned. Could a game this violent be sanctioned? Should we allow people to play this game? Would the virtual murder of another person affect our daily life mentality?
To critics, this game was something that should definitely not be allowed. A game in which murder was the main course of action could serve to create more violent teens. Emotionless killing machines which would negatively impact society.
However, to fans and supporters they believe that fantasy games were even more brutal. They had no guns and all the dirty work had to be done by your own hand, or that of an accomplices. Swords sliced through flesh like hot butter and magic swallowed and suffocated people into the very earth. With guns however, a good percent of the time you are shooting at each other from a distance. You don’t feel the bullet penetrate the enemy's flesh. You don’t feel the bullet take their life away.
“Let’s go Jay. Pre-order the game and be done. I have a date in two hours and I need time to get ready.” My bratty redheaded older sister Jillian yapped, an annoyed expression on her face.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“Quit groaning, I’ll be done in a minute” I told her, walking towards the bored cashier.
“I’d like to pre-order Kall of War please.” I told him, putting on a nice attitude. The cashier however, had no interest in doing so back.
“You're not old enough. Scram kid.” He said, waving me off. Slightly angered I pulled out my drivers license and shoved it in his face.
“Old enough now?” He grabbed the card and pushed my hand away, a scowl on his face.
“Jay Malkai. Age 17, Birthday April 20th, 2081. Born in A--!! MALKAI?” He nearly shouted, a shocked expression on his face.
“Problem with it?” I asked, annoyed that he shouted my name out.
“Good job brat.” My sister yelled, walking out the door.
“Of course not sir. I will set you down for a pre-order right away. Just sign here here and here.” His attitude did a complete 180, changing from asshole to worshipper in an instant. Not that I blamed him. If I was in his spot and I met someone as famous as me I too would be like that.
After all, when your grandpa created Virtual reality, who wouldn’t know of you?
I signed the signup form then pre-ordered my game, quickly writing in the necessary information.
“Thanks.” I said, walking out.
“W-w-Wait!! Can i get your autograph?” He asked, a pleading look on his face.
“*sigh* Alright. Don’t really see why you want it since I’m nothing special but here.”
Jay Malkai
“T-T-Thank you!” He stuttered,.
“Yup yup” I walked out the door and into my sister’s electromagnetic sports car. Every since James Nerton created the electromagnetic force repressor car, the whole world changed. Cars could now float in the air using repulsive magnetic fields. Granted that they topped out at 130-140 compared to gas powered cars.
“Not that I really care, but why pre-order a game that is going to come out tomorrow?” Jillian asked.
“Bonuses. Everyone who pre-orders it will receive a free A-suit customization skin and five weapon skins.” I told her..
“How lame.” She muttered.

“It’s spring break!” Every kid in class screamed, joy evident in their voices. I too played along, happy that school was finally on break.
“Ey J, we even gonna see you this break?” One of my REAL friends, Leo asked. Leo was, in one word, a jock. Manly, Handsome and great at sports he was hitler's “Blond hair and blue eyed” persona. Girls would swoon at his touch and more often than not swooning isn’t the only thing they would do.
“Ha-Ha. Verrry funny Mr.Lion. Why don’t you go fuck one of your playthings and leave us gamers alone.” My other REAL friend Kaleb said, flipping Leo the bird. Kaleb was an african american who was probably smarter than everyone in this entire school put together. Seriously, the created four new math formula’s when he was 12!! Kaleb had surprisingly above average looks, considering how “Unfortunate” his parents were. Looking at my two best friends bickering, I wonder they liked an average guy like me. I had shoulder length purple and gold hair. In the past that may have sounded extremely weird, but fashion has grown immensely since the old days. I had three gold rings in my right ear, barely big enough to fit a cigarette in. My lip was also pierced, though the ring is black instead of gold. I was decently tall, about 5’11. I run track every year and since I’m a massive military otaku I workout quite often when I’m not playing video games. I’ve never done martial arts but I am quite proficient at hand to hand combat. My eyes were both orange, something rare even in these days.
“Well, you jackwagons may never see me except when I’m buying hash or cigarettes. Seriously, I’m beyond excited for this new game. I’m happy that our spring break coincidently started when the game came out.” Indeed, it had been a stroke of luck when the game had been pushed back to a later release date. It started at 7:00 tonight, and I was dying to start it. A never before genre breached upon!
“How long are you gonna keep smoking that stuff? It’s bad for you ya know.” Kaleb said, an unsatisfied expression on his face.
“Pfft. Hash is legal everywhere now, so what’s the harm in adding another smoker?” I told him, grabbing the keys to my sports car out of my pocket.
“Doesn’t mean it’s good for you…” Kaleb muttered. He oppened the passenger seat of my car and threw his back in the back.
“By you lame ass lion.” Kaleb shouted to Leo. Leo flipped him the bird then pulled out the curb, shouting “Fuck you” as he drove by.
“Retards” I muttered.
---------
After dropping Kaleb off at his house (Though he easily could have gotten his butler to come and get him, he still wanted to drive with me) I headed back towards my house. I quickly arrived at the barred gates. After a quick check in with the gate guard I zoomed my car through my long ass drive way, wanting to play my new game. I already knew a maid would deliver the mail to my room so I had no need to check my mailbox.
After saying a quick “Hello” to everyone that greeted me I rushed to my room and nearly jumped into my V-pod. I saw a notification that the game had been completed.
With an eager heart and a stout mind I laid down inside the V-pod and started it up.
“Welcome to Kall of War Online!”
