[Year 3470 Eclipse Pyramid,East Frontier]
My name is Kart Springfield, an East Frontier native and also a well known geologist.
Today is the 4th month of the year 3470 and my crew and I are surveying the ruins of Eclipse Pyramid.
The ruins here are filled with large jagged fragments of what used to be a temple. The eerie looking fuschia-colored pyramid is directly above the ruins which we are currently on. There are stairs made of limestone that serves as the pathway to the pyramid.
The natives of East Frontier are well versed with digging because our little country are nowhere close to open sea. East Frontier is surrounded by two huge countries that are twice it's size, Mehaira and Laiek.
My crew are composed of four burly macho men and two rough looking women.
Theyre my childhood friends and fellow geologists but it just so happens that I have a higher position due to me having two years of experience while they only have one and a half.
The geologists in the Eastern Frontier are divided into ranks; first is the Head Geologist who has atleast 10 years of experience followed by the apprentice geologists who has atleast 2 years of experience and then the novice geologists who only has about a year of experience.
The current Head Geologist, Mr. Randalph Sieg, is a native of Icenfair which is located on top of the Northern Frontier on the map.
Mr. Randalph Sieg assigned me with the task of studying the ruins near Eclipse Pyramid, a job that no other geologist dared to do.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
If youre asking why. Besides having an eerie look, the background story of Eclipse Pyramid is also disturbing.
The oldest of the elders of Eastern Frontier often tells the kids of the story of how people were used as sacrifice to a god inside the Eclipse pyramid.
Such a kid's story is nothing to an adult like me. Nonetheless Eclipse Pyramid is still a treasured landmark of Eastern Frontier so I would never dare to enter.
"Kart look at this odd looking stone. I dont know what it is." said by Emma, one of my colleagues. It's kinda rare for Emma look so confused specially when it comes to the minerals and stones since it's her favourite lesson in school because she knows a lot about them.
The other members of my crew seems to have thought the same about Emma's reaction so we all decided to stop what we are doing and look at the stone that Emma is talking about.
In Emma's hands I saw a peculiar looking stone. It is dark green in color, oval shaped, the whole thing is unexpectedly shiny and smooth that it looks like a darker version of a jade that was just recently polished. Everyone was charmed by the oddlooking stone that we had no idea how long it took us to finally hear a sound that resembles that of a siren except with a lower pitch. We could no longer hear each other even though we see each other's mouth opening and closing and we closed our eyes with our hands on our ears, hoping that the sound will go away.
The sound grew louder and louder and after two or three minutes it stopped.
I was the first one to open my eyes and remove my hands that were placed on my ears.
The scenery before me took my breath away. I fell on my knees and had my eyes and mouth wide open.
I could no longer care for my crew that were curled like a ball while trembling nor did I care for the odd stone which was glowing as if it was a lit torch.
I doubt Mr. Sieg's 10 or more years of experience had he seen such a place.
There was a child's tale that monstrous creatures used to roam the word millions of years ago and that a child had sent them in another dimension.
Some of the creatures described in that story were right in front of me!
A dragon from the myths that had velvet red scales and sharp claws flew over us!
I knew at that moment that we were no longer in earth anymore. Weirdly enough after thinking of that a smile appeared on my face.
I wonder who I got this habit of getting excited at knowing the unknown comes from.
This was the start of a new era.
