Back in the afternoon, after Chump and Zippy found some canned food and some farm that outgrew the times without the care of humanity, they were back in the base, in the only building with more than two floors intact in the whole city. Chump seemed occupied mounting the drones and the cameras, as he had music in the background at a low volume, which he vibed around, head banging his head to the song. Seems Chump skipped some of the food, as he wore protective gloves and modified some of the tiny machines he had in hand.

Both of them had at the floating display the information they obtained in front of them, as Chump wrote down everything already. After Zippy ate up, he gathered the courage and asked, “Mistath…Is that what they both said?… Did you kill those soldiers?” Said the bunny nervously, anxious and a bit scared of his answer.

Chump stopped everything he did but didn’t look anywhere, as his body seemed to be paralyzed for a moment. It took an instant to calm down. “No.” The human answered shortly, looking a bit around, trying to clear his head. “The story is complicated…They ended up dead, that is true. But it wasn’t by me. It was my late friend, Zandrew. It is too soon for me. I know I don’t look like the most honest guy right now but…When the time comes, will tell you about what happened…” He looked at the bunny, and his breathing felt heavy, with burdens he couldn’t put into words at that moment.

The bunny stood quiet before nodding. They understood each other that fleet moment before the bunny awkwardly changed the topic, commenting “Oh…What is “Mantrea”? Why are there two different ages in that guy?”

Chump felt a bit surprised by that awkward change, but thanks to that, he had enough time to light up a bit, as he moved that floating character sheet around, and took a more insightful look “Seems the place or the world they came from…It seems that…a year in that place is a hundred here. And by the look of them, seems that us, “hyumans”, last as little as a pet for them. A mere spec of their lifetime. Huh. A translator to each other years…Where this is the weird part, for their logic, I'm barely a baby, but by human standards, I’m already a flesh-full adult.” He mocked the way Gunnhildr commented on how they speak of them.

“Oh…what are those things in those cut half circles” The way he called the parenthesis ”…and what is the attribute “Artificial”?” The bunny asked, sitting beside him and looking as well.

The human shrugged as he focused again on his work whatever he did on the working table. “Honestly, I don’t know what it means either of those. It seems a way to represent their progress in each level by the algebra but…Not much else. One thing I know is that the {“Remenant Capacity”} is how much you store inside you of the mana and thus…How much you can spend? And I guess for that logic. {“Remenant Control”} and {“Remenant Resistance”} is how much you can control that and how much you can resist other stuff thrown at ya!… But without data …we are building from pure guesses…” He seemed a little frustrated with this lack of critical information.

“Mistath, I think you are doing a great job! That thing your building seems interesting!” Zippy cheered him up.

“Oh…Oh, thanks.” He genuinely appreciated the compliment coming from him, tho “I appreciate it Zippy…You said you lived most of your life in a box right?”

“Mhm!”

“Have you noticed yourself faster than usual or stronger in any way?” The bunny shook his head. “But you knew u have spark powers but not Wind control?”

“Yeah, why you ask Master?” The bunny curiously answered

“Because your thunder powers are really low, like the minimum to any attribute, yet the wind control was ten times stronger than that. You keep sparking around but you barely did any development…” Chump thought for a moment before pulling out the sheet of Zippy out of curiosity.

“Your stats changed slightly, you actually grew!” The human was surprised as he checked those and compared his notes.

“No way!” The bunny expressed excitedly, only to look at them and be a bit dumbfounded. “How…exactly?”

He showed the stats “Your intelligence, wisdom, willpower and {“True Companionship”} are way higher than before. Your agility, willpower, plus {“Thunder Creation”} and {“Wind Control”} increase slightly as well…Perhaps these drastic changes are the direct influence of me being with ya.”

They both stared at each other, him looking at one eye of the bunny while the bunny looked back. A silent awkward moment covered the conversation before the bunny added, “What?”

He sighed before shaking his head. “By me being a smarts pants, you learn a bit more in life and get those stats influenced. That could mean that perhaps if you train, you could become way cooler, more powerful!”

“Realllyy?! AWESOME! What are we waiting for!?” The bunny jumped excitedly around the room without any sight to stop soon, tho Chump gently expressed his reasoning, doing the classic hands to calm down a person, open palms, slowly pushing down the air multiple times.

“Ey chill out Zippy. I don’t know how exactly yet. But we can try methods!”

“I want to be the very best! Like no one ever was! What do we do Mistath????!!!!11!!”

“Geez Christ Zippy, calm down. I don’t even know how normal Remenant works to help ya out…”The bunny stood excited at the table, murmuring some possibilities to be able to be “THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING!” Chump took the time to think about this situation calmly. “Let me check a thing.”

“Zippy Remenant capacity: 4920/5000.”

“It seems that over time, you regenerate a bit of your Remenant. However, it passed more than five hours and u barely regenerated 350 points…And you weren’t at maximum after waking up this morning…Perhaps…you use your wind control subconsciously while running away from the wolf, speeding up…Or maybe I am overthinking this too much. Alright Zippy, when you calm down, come near okay?”

“Okay!!!”

The bunny lasted two more minutes before approaching where Chump sat and jumped over to the table. The young man had already had a weird mysterious tool that seemed like a rectangular piece of plastic, with a screen with simple numbers, a rotary selector with many positions, and a couple of cables coming out from the machine. “This is a Multimeter, it allows me to see how much voltage and Amperage an electric circuit has. But since I do not know how much you can output, I will put it in the safest mode, the voltage, so I can test you out, alright? From where do you usually shoot your sparks?”

“From my face!” The bunny said as a couple more sparks came out from the bunny, and now Chump took a moment to look in detail, it came from his face. But to be more specific, it came out from his nasal vibrissae, those rigid hairs some animals had like cats, dogs, wolves, and in this case, the hare and bunnies as well.

“Alright, alright…” The young man took a moment to put on protective gloves, as thick as an inch before taking a couple of cables and putting in those fine yet dangerous hairs. “Spark for me, as hard as you can!”

The bunny nodded in ecstasy, accelerating as he tried to stay put and focus all his will on generating the biggest spark he ever did. The blue fey lines on his body sparkled up, and a light show of blue colors appeared, his body generated many sparks that interconnected the little hairs, as he closed his eyes and focused all hard he could to make the greatest spark his body could do. The bunny roared a bit and shouted to the skies as a great spark interconnected in parallel to the cables, making the machine measure the power output.

Thunder Creation has been activated Remenant depleted by 20 points. Remenant capacity : 4900/5000.

But the human face went from admiration and fear to confusion, as the bunny kept that spark on, he had to calibrate the multimeter multiple times, changing into variations. Until the multimeter finally gave a result, that the peak the bunny reached was:

0,0002 Voltages

“How did I do, Mistath?!” The bunny asked with anticipation as the number of sparks reduced to the minimum he could in that excited state.

“Disappointedly…” The human said as his face showed how utterly confused and disappointed he was, taking the progressive notes and scratching his head.

“What?!” The bunny exclaimed mad. “I know I am not the strongest around, but you can’t deny that was a good spark!”

“Yeah, and I am surprised because is practically a light show!”

“Whaaaat??!!!!” The bunny went to bite his hands, demanding an explanation for his actions. The human held him and after a moment of confrontation, he calmed him down.

“Let me explain…” He took a moment to breathe before pulling some cables, a battery, and a bulb. “You did almost the minimum this machine can detect in your greatest effort. But this is barely nothing that we, humans have mastered over time. This is a 10-volt battery that some LEDs use.” He held it it in a way that both poles touched different fingers “This is 50.000 times better than anything you could output right now, and I can hold it in my hand without any problem, the current may be connected but we, humans, in a dry state, are resistant enough. I don’t want to bother you with details, but basically, I think the Remenant is what allows your sparks to go through the air without resistance. However, what truly hurts me is indeed the Amperage this voltage carries, not the voltage itself. But since my body is highly resistant in normal terms, the amperage is low. While I do not have a certain threshold of my resistance, let's say it is 3000 ohms. So basically you will need six thousand volts to be able to kill me. That's around 30 million times you have right now, so the most-“

Zippy blinked twice, his face freezing in time trying to process the whole explanation “Master…I do not understand…Could you…explain it better?” The bunny felt a bit anxious, trying to wrap his head around the problem.

Interrupted in mid-explanation, he saw the expression and the voice Zippy acquired at that moment, and slowed down for him “Forget…about it, I'm going nerd here…Short explanation?”

“Yes please…”

“The more you train, the more power and better use, the more stuff you can do to anything!” The bunny felt now motivated by that brief declaration. “The thing is, we need to enhance your potency…by a mile. By TONS, and I…Just don’t know how exactly, so we will improvise something and see if it works.” The human shrugged before improvising, he drew a line and took the bunny just before that line, placing the distance between a piece of trash and the bunny by a meter. (or 3,3 ft) “Alright, I want you to try to aim at the target, in this case, this lettuce peel and hit it with a spark. Ready?”

“Okay!” The bunny nodded, feeling better and creating more sparks around. The first fifteen sparks went around wildly before he began to focus all the sparks in front of him for about 7 sparks before they went wild once again. It hit the chair, the laptop, the human face -three times in fact- his hand, and there were a couple of times it barely missed its target until after the 53rd it hit one part of the vegetable peel. “How did it go Mistath?” Said with an expectant face to receive a prayer for the work he did. The human stood silent looking at him, wearing a happy exasperation.

“Needs improvement, but you have the spirit. Very well. We have a few hours to spare before going out again. Bit classic but effective, we will get out at night. The drone's capabilities are helpful but limited. Most of these are toys, making for a range between a hundred to two hundred meters. That’s too close, dangerously close. We don’t know what we might face. The longest drone we have in our property is around 10 kilometers, (~6,21 miles). That’s still too close for my liking, but we have no other safest choice.”

“Mistath…Can I Ask you something before training?… Why not just…go with the other humans or…get out of the city? You seem a bit troubled by this whole ordeal.”

He nodded, knowing that was a fair question. “Every option is a suicide mission. The borders are plagued with soldiers who are pushing to conquer humanity. Human weapons affect them, sure, but they have their way to war. And worse of all…Nuclear weapons are useless since they notice the danger levels and contain the explosions inside of magic domes. Thick as steel, resistant as diamond, and durable as a star. I…I think is just a question of time when will be conquered. But information is key. And the information we will get Zippy, make that for sure.” The human asserted with confidence, as he prepared a tiny way to train the bunny.

The montage was simple. He put on a light bulb, protected with some transparent clothing he had, and only came out a couple of cables. Inside the bulb was a capacitor (some sort of battery, that allows any machine to stay connected just a bit longer). The cables were in the middle of this clothing.

“Alright, from here, at around 5 meters distance long (~16,5 ft long), you won't move from there, and your objective is to hit those cables a hundred times in a row.”

“A hundred times?!” Zippy groaned, confused. “I don’t think I can even reach that far…”

“There’s no time limit either, you just need to keep trying and trying. If you are tired, you make a push to keep going, and when you're REALLY tired, you can take a break. The point of this kind of training is to push your limits all you can, so you can be better the next time when you do it. I don’t expect you to do it right today or tomorrow.” The human stood a moment going to Zippy to make a double high-five with his little paws. “But I believe you can do it, wholeheartedly! If not, check my heart when u feel any doubts.”

The bunny looked at the image of his hero being back again, and raised its tiny cute fluffy paws at him before positioning behind the line the human marked “Alright Master! I will try my best! Just you wait! I will break all of your expectations, just you see!”

And so the rest of the afternoon went relatively quiet, the bunny kept trying to hit over and over with random sparks against the target at those 5 meters (~16.5 ft) distance. Chump had to check from time to time for Zippy to not cheat off as he worked on finishing a special backpack he had in mind to carry around the bunny with him. The backpack was a tiny capsule that could stuck on top of another backpack on his own back, only changing the length of the made-up backpack straps. Chump nodded looking at its craftsmanship, and prepared spaces and places to put cables in the future, believing this might help. Also, it helped him to be able to do something while waiting instead of just training and then being tired.

Time slowly passed, one hour before they went out Zippy increased its range for a couple of meters (6,5 ft) to the length it needed after three breaks, yet his aim lacked accuracy.

Thunder Creation has been activated Remenant depleted by 50 points. Remenant capacity : 50/7800. Recommendation to take a long break.

“And it recommends even!” With surprise, he rushed towards the bunny and placed his hand on his hand, scratching him. “That’s enough Zippy, you improved quite a bit, we will leave early.” The human signaled as he finished packing up everything he prepared.

“How did I do, Mistath?” Zippy asked shily as his exhaustion slowly made him fall half asleep.

“You don’t need my approbation all the time, but if I have to give my opinion, you are doing great. Keep that effort up! Now rest, I will wake you up when we are there.” Seeing the bunny was on his limit, he put him in his new backpack with food, fresh, ventilation, water, and a towel, so he rested like a king. Ready to go, and load up with everything he needed, bunny included, he took the car, and slowly drove away, not music this time around. Trying to be silent and checking the skies every five minutes.

it was [20:07], the sun began to hide on the horizon, behind the “God wall”, as the skies turned to beautiful warm colors between blue, pink, and orange. Taking a break before arriving at his destination, he saw in the skies that a flying humanoid descended into the forest, and confirmed his suspicions. Luckily, it didn’t seem that the flying humanoid didn’t see him. Yet even in this state of desolation, he saw a peaceful looking place to look upon in the “L’albufera”, the lake he mentioned that morning to Zippy.

A couple of hours passed, as Zippy slowly woke up from its nap. Both of them were in Picassent, on top of one of the churches that the village had, one of the more traditional ones, in the bell tower. Zippy saw that Chump had already everything connected a mounted. Two screens showing what the drone saw and the location on the map it was. The feedback was recorded on the laptop with a program as well as he had a couple of speakers so both could hear the feedback at the same time. He began to fly the drone towards the forest, sweating a bit as he didn’t have much experience with a drone.

Zippy yawned as he cuddled his master and recharged “Hello Master…where are we?”

He commented without taking his eyes off what he drove off. “In Picassent, to one of the old churches…The maximum reached the drone can normally reach. I had to add some signal amplifiers to the setup and the drone to make sure I wouldn’t lose connection and yet still, I do have already some interferences. I had to take the higher place and yet still is not the best because of the bell…” He said worried.

“A-Ah…I-I see…What…what do you think we will see?” Zippy said, trying to make small talk.

“You tell me…you came out from there right?… Well, I won’t nag much about it since it has been a couple of interesting days…” He took the bunny and put it on his lap, both sat down while looking at the screen, tho the bunny had to see it sideways due to the eye's placement.

“Ye-yeah but I can’t think much…it just…the box was open and we ran and-“ But the bunny was interrupted, as the human signaled him to keep quiet.

“Sshhh…I am seeing their camp!” Both of them focused on what they saw.

Indeed, they had a visualization of the camp.

The first thing he noticed was a circle of magma in the middle of the forest terrain, that somehow it didn’t burn anything that surrounded it or inside of it. A big circle of this fiery liquid surrounded the whole camp where they were stationed. Inside of it, there were three buildings and one ice wall. Let’s start with the ice part. The ice circle being smaller than the magma one, of around a ten-meter radius, that ice wall was irregularly distributed on the sides, as it contained dozens of humans. Dozens of people who the other world people captured, including the teenager and mother of the family they both saw this morning. Their dad sat down on the ground, with one arm missing and his eyes empty, of life, of hope. Another man kept trying to break the ice without kicks and punches, up to the point that his knuckles bled out, yet he never stopped. Dozens of humans, dirty, broken mentally, some with bones breaking out, barely holding alive with some leftovers that a couple of soldiers threw inside the cage.

The biggest building seemed like a luxurious camp with platinum and silver decorations, a giant tent of 9 meters tall (~29,5 ft tall), as the middle pole that sustained the roof of that tent held a flag of pure red blood and black signs. The design had a resemblance of power and elegance, as it seemed a claw that held the powers inside its fist. Thunders, fires, currents of water and air, and drops of earth fell from that hand. The entrance towered 6 meters tall (~19,7 ft tall), and a couple of statues of chimeras decorated each side of the entrance. Yes, chimeras. They were relatively small compared to the entrance.

Yet, it wasn’t the tallest building, just the fanciest. The second building seemed a more generic wooden one, which appeared two floors tall yet it was as big as twenty meters tall (~65.6 ft tall), only being a bit more generic, yet the windows were replaced by holes where ice and magma made that function instead of actual glass. It held the same flag as before, but beside it another flag of just two simple colors, dark blue and white. A seemingly sea line with tiny stars decorating the top of the sea horizon inside the flag.

The third place seemed way more spread than the other two, it had a couple of open tents that were as tall as twelve meters (~39,4 ft tall), filled with boxes of resources, as well as cages with animals, tools, and other resources. It had spread around nine tables that were as tall as Chump and their seats being simple big rocks they found around and polished enough to use as seats. It was an open kitchen with a couple of giant fires, a washer, and a pile of ice where they stored some of the fresh meat.

The place was filled with other worlds, Gunnhildr and Ephiron worked in the kitchen, preparing the dinner of the battalion. At those tables sitting down, there were a dozen of the other world soldiers, towering from 2,5 meters tall up to almost 4 meters tall (from 8,2 feet tall up to 13,1 feet tall). Six of them were humanoids, part magma or with fire attributes spread on his body, the other six with different uniforms of different black and silver tons, having fish scales, gills, or ice parts on their bodies as well. Sitting in pairs each of them, talking, discussing, swearing at each other. It seems like the fusions of two different companies comparing dick sizes at that moment. Everyone seemed fine being there, even with the magma circling them.

But the most notorious being in that place, a luxurious table with its open tent, the table manufactured and polished with tiny decorations on purpose unlike the rest, where only a single figure stood tall, patiently waiting for her food. This person towered almost 6 meters tall (almost ~20 feet tall), her shoulder almost two meters wide.

A striking feminine figure of great proportions with an intense fierce aura, similar to a giant flame irradiated from the woman, yet with a cold ambient on her back as she displayed wings made of scales and ice, as the interior of her red flaming hair had ice cover internally, her hair dividing itself between ice and fire, being bit more yellowish on the end and hotter red intense at the beginning. From her forehead, two horns rose not too tall.

With her diamond face, smooth features, red crimson eyes, and fine lips anyone could take her as a top model in the world, probably the new Miss Universe now that there were two worlds.

She wore a fancy red dress with blue finishes that were to her shoulder to under the knees, ending up in high-heeled shoes. However, something abnormal about this dress was that it wasn’t made of textile but a purple rocky texture, like thousands of tiny purple dark scales forged together.

For those who are more curious about details, this dress was a princess line asymmetrical, leaving open her left shoulder. High heel shoes classic platforms with open toes and in her toes, yet those being of draconian ice tones.

And for those… This woman had a semi-perfect hourglass figure, with an F cup, and a big size bottom, with hips wide enough to crush anyone under them.

Due to the distance, Chump couldn’t have audio, but a perfect visual of this individual in an angle, that let him see anyone. Chump scratched his head for a moment, not understanding how the elements co-existed with each other without trying to melt each other. “Holy…shit…There are humans…there are here. Sylas lied to me. Holy shit Zippy, you were not only right, but you were also…oh my god, they are too many and this is just like a squad of them?! And the two cooking right now are the ones who melt an entire building like cheese! I have so many questions right now! Like, why the ice is not melting or the magma is not burning anything it touches or is around? Why there are so many humans there, …What is going on here?…”

“Get closer! I think I'm seeing my other brothers there!” Zippy insisted as it tried to take control of the drone. Luckily, Chump caught the controller in time.

“No no, Zippy, we are reaching the edge of the drone here okay? Please let me handle this…”

As the drone tried to carefully maneuver between the flora and the anti-natural elements of that place, he infiltrated inside the magma circle but began to fail to respond accordingly. Chump hit the controller a couple of tries, moving his arms and trying to regain control, but it was too late. The drone fell into the hundreds of things that open storage had, making a crashing noise between them. Chump’s skin began to sweat, as his chest shrank down, seeing how the drone crashed between the stuff, making a total mess on top of the mountain of stuff, losing control of the flying machine, yet having perfect visual and audio from the drone towards the dining place. His anxiety and stress skyrocketed thinking of the worst possibilities, as he began to gather his things, holding the bunny with one hand, his breathing getting out of control.

“No, no no no, I thought I had a couple of hundred meters more why it stopped so soon, why this piece of crap. Of course, made by China and exported here would be this bad!… Just. Great." The bunny didn’t completely understand what happened.

But that moment it began to fall like a paper plane, some humans saw the drone flying down, making noise and shouting, hoping some rescue team would come to them, calling more the attention of these other wolders than the crash, and made the drone crash invisibly against the pile of things. Having that miraculous angle made him realize that he was still undetected, and stopped what he was doing, slowly regaining his breathing and laughing hysterically.

Chump looked astonished at the screen, as he slowly sat down again, watching everything, crying in relief as he commented, “They didn’t see us! Zippy, they didn’t see us! We have a visual of them! Of who they are! Of what they talk! What are they doing! What are they talking?”

“Master, you are quite lucky! I thought we had to run away in the car and escape!” The animal commented, cuddling a bit before completely stopping in shock and turning before Chump.

“Yeah, me too…” Chump sighed off in pure relief, holding the bunny, but not seeing his sudden reaction.

As another voice commented behind the two, with an anti-natural feeling, artificial, yet soothing, monotonous, cold to the ear.

“We are now three, hyuman.”
