Grant thought about how he got here. Oh that’s right he was asked (forced) into teaching his idiot of a friend crow magic. Why? You may ask well it all started when said friend let out his temper and damaged his hands and the wall of the mage training ground.
“Grant I want to learn real magic not this.”
(Ahh he’s still complaining.)
“We have to start with the basics and besides you know what happened yesterday.”
“Yeah I know but why not learn some simple low-level spells.”
(Oh god why do I have to deal with this.)
“Just shut up and listen or I won’t train you.”
(Yes now I remember the reason. It was that all the trainers are afraid of him. I can hardly blame them though.)
“Ok so what do I do.”
“First try and feel the flow of energy through your body.”
“Yeah and then.”
(Ok so he can do the basics not that impressive.)

“Then use the energy to make you feel light or tougher, if you achieve something then you should really know what’s next. Since I don’t use enhancement magic I wouldn’t know.”
“Ok I feel lighter but also I feel a bit stronger.”
(huh that was fast, good thing we’re in the garden.)
“Here throw this rock and let’s see how strong you got.”
“Alright.” He said and caught the rock but as he caught it it cracked and fell apart.
“Wow, I must be pretty strong now” he said with a smile.

The king paced up and down his office.
“My king I do believe that this is the perfect chance to test their strength.”said the royal advisor
(test their strength, this way of thinking is crazy. After all they only just got here.
“We should wait and just send a few knights.”
“Your majesty if I may be so bold but I agree with him” stated the general .
“Besides didn’t your daughter say it would be fine” uttered the court sorcerer .
“Yes she did, but that doesn’t change anything. It’s just she has been wrong in the past. But I suppose if you think this could be a valuable experience, then I will send them.”
“I think you’ve made a great decision” the advisor beamed.
(Yes If only I had made it. I’m nothing but a fool who can’t make his own decisions.)
“My king I’m sure they’ll be able to deal with a few orcs.” The general said calmly it seems he noticed the Kong’s melancholic expression
“Yes and about that boy that can use magic without a staff, I’m afraid that I’m against the idea of him going north. Instead I wish to teach him as my apprentice.” The sorcerer said confidently.
He truly just wanted to research the oddity and maybe get a new friend {besides he was already 16 and didn’t have many friends as he was taken to become the court sorcerers apprentice.
“I agree he would be far more useful here than up north.” The king said
“I don’t make a habit out of breaking agreements but I’ll find away around his problem with the heat.”
