Chapter: 1_Just a Traveler(Hiatus)

My vision clears, and I'm suddenly hit with extreme dizziness, I had to lean on the brick wall otherwise I probably would have fell.

'Wait, brick wall?' I look up, still a little dizzy, and notice I'm in an alleyway.

This alleyway has seen better days, there's garbage everywhere, graffiti all over the walls, and 4 or 5 homeless people huddled around a barrel lit on fire.

Suddenly, Charles feels a something hit his leg, he notices its what looks like some newspaper. He picks it up and gets a closer look.

'I don't understand this language, wait.. I've never even seen this type of language before.'

Charles manipulates some mana and guides it to his necklace. 'I knew buying this necklace would be worth it.'

An annoyed Charles throws the newspaper on the ground. 'What the hell is going on?!'

"Hello? Helloooo, teac- Farlon can you here me?" He waits a minute, but there's no answer.

'I don't know how to feel about this, the only thing resembling a family I had left on Terra was Farlon, but he's no family of mine anymore.'

As he walks out of the alleyway, he notices that this.... city? Looks similar to the ones on Terra, except we use Light stones to light up the road. He doesn't know what they use. And there's these weird carriages with no horses... How does that work?

'Everybody is giving me weird looks, I notice that of all the people I have passed by, not a single one has robes, or armor.'

"Hello Mister." A little girl greets me.

I look at the child with confusement, then it clicks, 'I have to keep supplying mana to my necklace, this is gonna get annoying fast. Thankfully though, it only uses a very miniscule amount of mana, not worth mentioning.

"Hi there, what did you say to me?"

"Are you a cape mister?"

"Uhhh no I don't wear a cape" 'Is my necklace acting up? I did buy it for cheap.'

"Hehehe you're silly mister."

Before I could respond, what looks like they're mother shows up and grabs the girls hand.

"Lily!, I told you not to run around, and don't talk to strangers."

With that, the woman dragged the little girl away.

"Ah wait, excuse me miss."

"Uh yes? Did you need something? I don't have money on me." She says with a guarded look.

"No no... I was just wondering if you knew where the library was?"

The woman gives me a look before saying "You turn right on that street, then keep going straight until you see it, you won't miss it. Come Lily, lets go." She proceeds to speed walk with the girl.

"Thank you."

'What did she take me for, first chance I get I have to change these robes out.'

Charles starts walking according to the directions given, and arrives in front of, what he thinks is the library.

As Charles walks in, he sees the library clerk, he walks up to him, he looks to be the same age as him.

"Excuse me, is this the library?"

The clerk doesn't look up from his.... device.

"Mmmhmm...."

'Uhh.. I thought he was gonna ask me to provide him ID, but this works better for me'

Charles decides to walk around the shelfs to look around a little. 'I don't even know where to start... History maybe?'

As he starts skimming thru a book something that has never happened, happened.

Charles actually stood for a few minutes, trying to process what the hell is happening.

"This is impossible!" As he yells, he notices a teenager with glasses give him a dirty look.

"*Ahem*... excuse me." He walks to the another shelf to get a bit more privacy.
