Darius’s POV
I swing open my car door and sigh. I grab my suitcase and small bag and jump out, stepping onto the uneven ground. I look back at my mother.
“Go ahead. I don’t want to see your face until the end of summer. Your brother should be inside, since he works at this camp.” She smiled at me sarcastically and rolled her eyes. I slammed the car door shut and began moving towards the entrance. She drove off and I let out a breath.
”Fuck you.” I hiss.
”O-oh...” I whip around to see a kid around my age. He has on a hoodie and jeans, which is highly inappropriate for this weather. He is slouching and has a small backpack hanging onto his shoulders.
”Hello.” I smile at him. His face turns red and he gives me a weak smile.

”H-hi?” He looks confused. He’s probably wondering why someone as hot as me is talking to him. I smirk and walk closer to him. But I stop a few feet away.
What is this feeling I get when I approach him. I feel my fangs slip out and my eyes wander to his hidden neck.
”I-I’m Alexander, but you can call me Alex...” He offers a hand. I put my hand out and step closer, shaking his hand. He winces and I become concerned.
”I’m Darius, you can call me Dare though.” I wink at him. His face turns a bright shade of red.
”Um, D-dare?” He asks.
”Yes?” I smile sweetly at him. He looks at my mouth and I become self conscious. Could he see my fangs? Did they come out that much?
”W-why are you talking to me?” He asks. I shrug and motion towards the entrance.
”Shall we go in?” I ask him. He nods his head.
I grab his wrist and drag him inside.
