Justain -Godfall 951- fifth month- day 16
I awoke in the snow next to Bix, I was staring up at the sky to see the vessel where I last remember us being. How did we get here? Bix was unclear with his answer but lent to the fact that we fell through some kind of portal into this Silt, I surmise it was most likely done by the Creature we were fighting at the time. As Bix and myself began to assess our surroundings we noticed a large figure heading toward us in the snow coming from some hovel on the side of this mountain. We went down to meet him and upon approaching him we made somewhat peaceful contact. This large individual stood head and shoulders above even the tallest men I have ever seen. A large pair of horns protrude from his head and held the appearance of some sort of smith.I will endeavour to learn and record whatever I can about this as to yet unknown being. He had hiding in his pauldron what i first thought to be some large insect non-native to the vessel, by the way he ignored it I assumed it was a pet of some sort. I was mistaken as once it came out of there revealed itself to be a fairy. I have never before seen one in person and read very little about such creatures. From my own observations they are an incredible species with unique magical abilities and imposing power despite the diminutive size. I would place this particular one at about 2 hands tall and would only weigh some portion of a stone. Human enough in appearance or perhaps elf-like, a pair of wings on her back allows for some level of flight while the extent of this has yet to be tested. She is intelligent and can speak in at least several language and according to my own observations and the books I can confirm this creature does meet the requirements to be considered sentient. Definitely more talkative than her companion who short a few simple words appears to be more of a creature of action than speech. He seemed interested in the gloves that Bix has gotten bound to his hands and agreed to let us shelter with him if he could examine them further. The fairy, who told us to refer to her as Havok, was kind enough to heal us with some significance and we were able to go out in search of food as our stocks were running low. This terrain is unfamiliar to me and we found ourselves hiding from a storm in a cave. There we encountered a most peculiar creature. A crystal bear. I had read their description in a Creature compendium some time ago and they are as they were described in the book with some minor differentiations I would like corrected in some future editions of the book.
(Most notably their color variances and how it appears to affect their capabilities.)
The large smith fellow took it upon himself to try to challenge the beasts on some primal level, however being as we were in their home and there did appear to be young present this seemed ill advised. As expected it led to some small level of conflict. Neither group seemed too interested in exterminating the other and Havok was able to deescalate the situation. Her communication ability with these creatures was incredible to see. I wonder if it has to do with some innate ability of her kind or if it is something particular to her. (Requires more study)
We were able to broker some form of peace with the creatures and spent the night in the cave.

Justain Godfall 951- fifth month day 17- We continued down the mountain towards a village the smith knew off. We found a seemingly abandoned field of muckle and only upon further investigation found a house on the edge of the field where we found a dead elf and what appeared to be some form of spirit that may have belonged to that body. It requested of us to find “Its/his” lost daughter and return to her an amulet we found with the body. I was able to determine the amulet functions as some kind of protective charm that is inhabited by or constructed with the spirit of the wearers ancestor spirits. “quite unique”. The horned fellow put the amulet on despite my misgivings about doing such a thing. No harm seems to have come to him directly because of it but when it comes to accestorial spirits it never hurts to be more careful than brash. We gathered a fair supply of muckle and continued on our way, only encountering some boar on remainder of the journey.
Once we made it to the town we found multiple airships overhead. The goblins, the Authority, Delterians and the World binders, most of them having also some level of ground presents in the city. Once again the large fellow choosing the most direct path walked into the city without any thought for the Delterians dislike of non-humans. While I hid my ears with my hood also concealing the fairy, he just walked into town where we were confronted by a 3 Delterians who appeared to be attempting an evacuation. They mentioned him by some name, “Ageless One” I believe it was before attempting to arrest him. Again foregoing diplomacy he attempted to “scare off” the large armored soldiers and their captain. It went about as well as anyone can expect and we found ourselves once again in mortal conflict. Things seemed to be going well enough until one of them used some kind of shield/cannon weapon and knocked me unconscious. I awoke again to the fairy’s hand on my arm and her magic mending my wounds. We were able to dispatch the two soldiers and the captain chose to retreat and search out reinforcements. We quickly searched the bodies and then made out way out of town, sending the fairy to locate the shop of the horned fellows compatriot. She reported only a single armored soldier there and we returned with her to find the armored suit empty and someone tinkering with the ship. We surmised she was attempting to steal or loot it and took her prisoner. We then went about trying to use this shopkeepers personal flying vessel to escape the Silt that was being claimed by the World Binders. Our captive reawakened and we agreed to release her if she helped us escape, this woman while appearing human seems to have some kind of ability to read our minds, this is very disconcerting. With some difficulty and the help of our captive we were able to use it to escape the island but not before the smith fellow was kind enough to crash the ship into the side of the bay and send me over the side to the floor below, while my injury was not serious I do worry about letting him be in control of this thing for much longer.
Justain Godfall 951 Fifth month day 18 - As we traveled on this small ship on the way to the Vessel I can feel my own powers growing and I can sense the same from this group. We are all becoming more cohesive and I am sure if we encounter more trouble in the future we will be more apt to handle it. I was able to determine from some of the documents that we found on the Delterian soldiers we killed that the name of the dead farmer’s daughter is on a list of prisoners being transferred to a facility that isn’t too far off our current course back to the Vessel. We have put the matter to a vote amongst our group. Do we continue on our current path or do we divert to help save the elf woman?
