The year is 20XX. The sun beams down upon Manhattan, greeting the people of New York with plenty of heat. Summer has finally rolled around, and for most people in the bustling city, it would be the average beach trip with friends, or holiday overseas. But for one unsuspecting boy in this huge city, it was about to become a whole lot more than just your normal Summer…
Meet Joseph Joestar, a 19-year-old living in Manhattan. He’s a very hotheaded young man who lives with his Mother, Amelia. To the average eye, he may come off as just some normal boy, but what sets him apart from the others is the mysterious ability he possesses. This ability is commonly known as a stand.
Stands are very unusual and extraordinary entities born from one’s heart, and represent that person’s true personality. Every stand has its own individual power or ability, such as having super strength, or being able to restore damaged objects. They range from powerful to useless, and come in all shapes and sizes. Those that do have stands are commonly referred to as stand users.
Joseph became a stand user at the early age of 4, when he suddenly woke up to a strong headache. That night, he discovered a strange figure standing next to him who resembled his physique. That was the night Joseph discovered the concept of stands. His stand, Velvet Underground, has the ability to shoot focused shots of air like bullets. This is usually done by flicking, but large punches can also increase the force in the air.

Amelia Joestar, Joseph’s Mother, has had a stand since she was 16. She planned on keeping it a secret from Joseph, but after he had already gotten one when he was very young, she decided there was no point in hiding it. Her stand, White Wedding, isn’t very good for much aside from making housework less of a hassle. It allows her to teleport objects from one place to another, as long as they’re within a 5 metre radius.

It's a warm, bright Tuesday morning. The sky is blue and clear, and the traffic outside is noisy as usual. It's just an average day in Manhattan for Joseph.
Joseph is woken by the smell of eggs and bacon coming from downstairs. He gets up, stretches for a moment and slowly makes his way downstairs, half asleep. In the kitchen, he is greeted by Amelia, his Mother. Her stand is making eggs just behind her.
"Oh, Morning Mom." Joseph yawns to his Mother.
"Woah, you're up early. I expected you to be out cold for at least another 4 hours or so."
White Wedding passes the pan with the eggs to Amelia, and she sets it next to the greasy bacon that was already prepared.

Joseph yawns once more. "What can I say? Your cooking is to die for!"
And it's true- his Mother often holds barbecues for neighbours and family, and is praised for her amazing food basically every time.
"Alright, bedhead, here's your eggs." Amelia says as she slides the plate over to Joseph.
Joseph, without hesitation, begins tucking in, wolfing down every last bite of the eggs and bacon. You'd think that he was some kind of wild animal that's been starving for years. After finishing, he slides the plate back across the table, back to his Mother. She chuckles.
"So, what's your day looking like? Meeting up with Lucio again?" She asks him.
"Yeah, that's the plan. Probably gonna head to Louie's."
"Pizza? At this time? Kids these days.." Amelia chuckles as White Wedding washes the empty plate and hands it to her for her to put it in the cupboard.
Joseph runs upstairs, gets changed, and before his Mother can turn back around from putting away the dishes, he's out the door.
He walks through the busy streets of Manhattan, looking around and taking in the sights and smells. He greets familiar faces as he walks by, and before long, he arrives at Louie's where his friend Lucio Zeppeli awaits him.
"Ah, there you are. You sure took your damn time." Lucio jokes.
"Hahaha, be quiet, I'll take as long as I want." Joseph replies jokingly.
Lucio Zeppeli- Joseph's best friend. They've been friends for as long as the both of them can remember, and are like brothers. They got on particularly well considering that they both awakened to stand when they were younger.
Yes, Lucio Zeppeli is also a stand user. His stand is called Froze Autumn. His stand's ability is being able to mold and reform ice, allowing him to create useful equipment like weapons and armour. 'But won't the ice shatter on impact?' nope, not if his stand compresses the ice! It's useful for a lot of things, and usually he uses it to stock up on ice cubes.

They continue to laugh and banter as they head inside the pizzeria. Inside, they are greeted by the establishment's owner, Louie Akkerman. He's all too familiar with both Joseph and Lucio, and they're his most regular customers. He's known them for many years, and will probably continue to for years to come.
"Ahh, Joseph! Louie! How are you both?" Louie delightedly asks.
"Doing just fine, Mr. L! How about the usual?" Joseph replies.
"Coming right up! And please, call me Louie, we've known each other too long for formalities." He said kindly
As Louie headed to the back to start kneading some dough, Joseph and Lucio take their seats and continued chatting to themselves... Until the pizzeria door's bell rings, and a young man enters.
"Oh hey, what's shakin' Ray?" Joseph asks the man.
"Ahhh not much, just the usual SPW stuff, you know how it is."
This man was Ray Speedwagon, current owner of the Speedwagon Foundation. It's an organisation that looks into and studies the supernatural and unusual. It's his Father's company, but after he passed away not long ago, Ray had to take over.
Ray's also been friends with Joseph and Lucio ever since they were kids, but after taking over SPW, he's been seeing them less and less. Unlike both Joseph and Lucio, Ray doesn't have a stand. The two have told Ray about their stands before, and they've proved they exist, but he tries not to dabble in the world of stands too much.
"So Ray, tell me, what brings you here? It's not like you to come to a pizzeria on your own." Lucio asks curiously.
"Yeah, I'm not here for any pizza. I actually came to talk to you two about something. Something... unusual."
"Well I mean, that's the SPW's whole gig, isn't it?" Joseph asks Ray.
"It is, yeah, but it's more of a rumour than anything right now, and I was wondering if you two could potentially confirm it for me at all."
The two looked at each other, then Lucio faced Ray again. "Confirm what?"
"We've received reports of some unknown person walking about with a weird looking arrow. Some say that it looked like the arrow was dragging her." Ray tells them.
"Woah.. That's..." Joseph was lost for words.
"What're we meant to do about it? What makes the arrow 'weird looking'?" Lucio asks.
"Well, we did some digging, and many descriptions from the reports match that of..."
Ray hesitates for a moment...
"A stand arrow."
