After Janet brought the deer inside, she butchered it and roasted it over the fire. After we ate, I looked at my guards. "I have been thinking about what we are going to do. First, we need to find a piece of land to settle on! Janet, can I leave this to you?"

"Yes, Jogre, sir!"

"Thank you, Janet make sure they are a water source close by!"

"Leave it to me, sir!"

"The second thing we need to do is find people that know different crafts! Preferably woodworking, farming, and gardening! Roland, can I ask you to sneak back into the town and find people that could help us?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Thank you! While you 2 are busy with that, I will be thinking of other ways that we can improve!"

We finished our meals, then Janet and Roland got up and saluted.

"No more salutes for now on, you both are my friends, we are in this together!"

Roland came up to me and shook my hand, Janet hugged me.

"We will head out now... Jogre!"

I smiled and nodded my head at Roland.

Now they are both are gone, and I am in the cave alone. If Roland finds survivors that have some skills and if Janet finds a suitable piece of land! Then we can start building houses for shelter. Right now, I am mostly worried about food, shelter, and water! I was thinking about all of this and then...

I felt something coming down my face. I reached up and wiped the tears from my eyes. I am sorry father and mother, I swear it I will get revenge for you! I cried for about 10 minutes, thinking about everyone that was lost to this attack! I rubbed my tears away and got up and slapped my face! I got to be stable!

It has been a couple of hours Janet re-entered the cave. "Welcome back, Janet!"

"Thank you, Jogre! Your eyes are red, have you been crying?"

I did not answer, her I just looked down, she came over and grabbed my head and brought it to her chest!

"Don't hide it from me, Jogre! I know you have been crying! Cry in my embrace, I will hold you! I will also cry on your shoulder!"

We both cried, holding each other. We talked about the people we lost."

After we both settled down. I felt that we both got a lot closer and knew more about each other! "I am sorry for showing you such a weak side of me!"

"You are not weak, Janet! We both needed to get that off of our shoulders!"

She smiled and kissed my forehead. "Thank you!"

"So, did you find a place?"

"Yes, it is on the outskirts of Eraerus to the north! It is surrounded by forests and water! No kingdom owns it"

"Sounds perfect!"

"I am tired from that trip, can I rest?"

"Go ahead!"

She came over to where I was with a red face and put her head on my lap! "Can I lay like this for a while?"

I rubbed my hand through her beautiful brown hair. "Of course!"

She fell asleep on my lap. I let her sleep for a while. thirty minutes later, Roland entered the cave with 5 men and women.

I shook Janet's shoulders until she woke up. She rubbed her eyes and saw the people in the cave. She raised up, embarrassed it was cute! I got up and went to Roland.

"Good job, Roland!"

"Thank you, Jogre!"

I looked at the new people in the cave. "My name is Jogre, the prince of Eraerus, but please just call me Jogre. I know we all lost people and things we care about! But together, let's rebuild our Kingdom and take back what is rightfully ours!"

I got on one knee and bowed my head to the people!

"Please raise your head! My name is Joel. I am a wood workman.

"my name is, Rebecca, I am an herbalist!

"Hello, my name is, Paul, I am a carpenter!

"Hi, I am, Susan, I was a doctor, assistant!

"... hi... my name is... Eva, I am a Beginner blacksmith!"

"Nice to meet you all! Please rest after you all are relaxed, I want Paul, Rebecca, and Joel to go with, Janet and check out our new plot of land! I want you 3 to use your skills to see if it is good enough to rebuild on!"

"Paul, Joel, If the land is good enough, I want you all to build 2 houses! For the time being. One for the Girls, and the other for us!"

Everyone rested for a while and got to know each other. Janet, Paul, Joel, and Rebecca left the cave.

"Jogre, I am going to step out a while, I won't be far from the cave!"

"OK, Roland!"

I am alone in the cave with a Busty Doctor and a Loli blacksmith... They are both pretty!

"Do you ladies have any suggestions?"

"Yes, sir, after they build our living quarters. I would like another building to be built as a hospital and an herbalist building!"

"That sounds good!"

"Eva, do you have any suggestions?"

"no... not... yet... sir!"

"we will build you a forge after we get the necessities done first."

"REALLY? WILL YOU BUILD ME A FORGE?"

I went up and patted her loli head. "Of course, we will! we will need weapons eventually!"

She hugged me tightly. She hugged me so tight I lost my breath! She is small but Strong!

"You... are crushing... me!"

"... so... sorry!"

She had a red face and looking down. I put my hand on her head.

"It is fine next time you want to hug me, hold back your strength some!"

She slowly nodded her head.

We sat in the cave for a while just talking, Eva was not as shy around us as she was. I learned that her father was a blacksmith, he wanted a son to take over his craft but never had any more kids. So, her father taught her the trade.

Susan was an orphan that was adopted by a family of doctors. She has been working under her mother since the age of 14! She is 20 years old now.

I want to learn more about the people I will be working with! When we meet up with the other's, I would like to learn more about Rebecca, Joel, and Paul, I would also like to learn about Roland and Janet! These people will be my future, advisors, after all!

Roland ran in the cave! "Sir, we have a problem!"

"What is it, Roland?"

"A patrol is coming this way! What are your orders?"

This is the first time I had to make a decision that could get people killed.

"how many?"

"5, sir!"

"You are one of my generals, what do you recommend for us to do?"

"I would say, let me watch them for a while if they get close to the cave then take them out!"

"Do it!"

"Yes, Sir!"

"Roland!"

"Yes?"

"Don't die!"

"I won't, sir!"

After he left the cave, I fell to the ground. I did not know it would be this hard sending someone out to likely kill someone else or get killed. My face was pale. Susan came up to me with a wet rag, she started to wipe my face.

"You are our leader now; you will need to make hard decisions! Some of them will get your people killed, and some will get others killed! There is a difference between a life wasted and a life spent! If you did not send Roland out, and if they found us in this cave, what would it be?"

She stopped wiping my face and walked away to let me ponder her words. If they found us hiding in this cave, then they would murder me and do worse to the girls!

"Thank you, Susan, I understand!"

"What answer did you come up with?"

"Both, if they discovered this cave, then I would be executed, then you and Eva would be raped and killed! That would be our life wasted! But if we killed them before they killed us then, it is a life spent saving others!"

"Bingo, as a leader, your people come first! Do you understand?"

"Yes, Thank you!"

"IYAAAAAH I don't... want to... be... ra... raped!"

I patted Eva's head. "No one will ever force you to do anything that you don't want!"

She was scared, I patted her head and held her shoulders, she finally dozed off to sleep in my lap.

"You know how to handle girls! were you a playboy prince?"

"No, to be honest, you, Janet, And Eva are the only girls I ever talked to. My father would never let me out of the castle for my protection, so I never been able to meet anyone!"

"I see, he probably was afraid that you would steal his concubines, you are handsome."

"Thank you, you are pretty yourself!"

She giggled. "You are a natural-born playboy!"

We talked to each other for a few hours, then Roland came into the cave with some gash marks, some of them were deep!" Susan went up to him.

"Set down!"

He looked at me, I nodded. He sat down in pain.

She removed his shirt to show a new open wound! "Get me some cloth! I need to stop his bleeding!" I went over to her and ripped some of my shirt off and handed it to her. "Can you put pressure on his wound? I need to get some needle and thread from my bag and also some disinfectant!"

I nodded my head and put my hand over my shirt and pressed down on his wound! She came back a minute later and told me to remove the rag.

"This is going to hurt! I am sorry I don't have anything to numb you with!"

He looked at me. "Jogre... please put a stick in my mouth!" I did as he said, and Susan put some disinfectant on his wound. He hissed through the pain. "You ready?" he nodded his head, and she started to sew his wound closed, he bit down on the stick and lost Consciousness.

After she was done, she looked at me and smiled. "He will be fine now!" She put her stuff back in her pack but put the needle in some of the disinfectants. We took turns changing the rag on his head.

Janet returned to the cave with Rebecca. "what happened?"

"A patrol of guards got close to the cave, and Roland had to take them out!"

"I see, I have some good news, the piece of land that I found is better then we could hope for! Joel and Paul stayed behind to build the 2 houses. They said if they worked all day and half of the night, then they would have 2 small huts built!"

Rebecca stepped forward. "The earth is rich enough to grow any herb that we will need, and the forest around the land has enough berries and animals to live on!"

"Good job, you 2, we will move out tomorrow if Susan says Roland can move!"

"He will be able to move, but he shouldn't do anything to pull his stitches out! By the way, Rebecca, can you make some numbing medicine and some more Disinfectant?"

"Yes, but I don't have the stuff on me right now!"

I was just sitting beside Roland, wiping his forehead and thinking to myself. I am lucky to have such skilled people with me! A calm Doctor, 2 guards that would follow my orders, 2 skilled masons, a knowledgeable Herbalist! I don't know how skilled Eva is, but I hope she can at least make swords!
