Yava the guardswoman: At first I imagined her in the green and sandy Cadian uniform that's so commonly seen nowadays, but then I veered and instead went for the oldhammer IG uniform, with a matching lasrifle. The colours however were adapted towards the Cadian colour scheme since I didn't feel like changing the story's description.
Urzal the Space Marine: I like the Dark Angels Deathwing white, but nowadays one has to move to the successor chapter Angels of Absolution if wanting to use white armour on the regular Space Marines.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Whatshisname the beastman: In my headcanon beastmen are still somewhat common in IG – along with Squats of course. I always imagine beastmen with a red shield because that's what the 6mm EPIC figures had, though Chaos affiliated. This guy didn't bring his though.
Jinglypuff (or one of the Fairids): Design matching the cover. I threw in a side sketch here more for scale. Jinglypuff's host base form might have been a mix of the current Tyranid Warrior (see ribcage and head plate) and a second edition style smaller Hive Tyrant. She discarded much of the bulk. An oversized character won't be able to fit into various environments and vehicles, which could hinder the story. The Farmagants are a new specialized type hatching down on the restored planet.
