"ugh what happened ?"Jack slowly opened his eyes and tried to sit up, "easy kid you've been fainted for two days straight." Thunder gently made him lie back down.

"Two days ? What...how ? Why did you attack me ?"Jack asked and shook his head.

"brain washing, how do you think they keep the mutants from attacking the scientists" Thunder sighed then turned to Tom,"you already know so whatever....the good thing is now you're 'dead' you can finally sleep peacefully"Tom smiled.

"Who brought me here ? and if you were brain washed what got you out of it ?"Jack asked more questions.

Thunder took a deep breath before answering with one word,"Ghost"

"Dad ?! Where is he ?!"Jack looked around quickly.

"not here...he wanted me to give you this" Tom gave Jack a paper.

Jack opened the paper and inside it was a video tape, he went to the living room and then watches the video, it was filmed by a security camera at the same date Jack's parents disappeared.

The first one was Ghost coming in a lab full of people,one of them greats Ghost and thanks him for coming, Ghost quickly goes to a huge machine, a portal and checks over it quickly. some time later he fixes some mistakes then turns it on, the destination seems unclear they throw a test dummy with a camera on its head, the scientists look displeased then pull the dummy back and it appears to be really damaged and old. they try changing the destination but it's always the same place, suddenly the electricity goes on and off so does the camera, it shows a few scenes each time.

A group of dead scientists, Ghost trying to fight a shadowy figure then.. Jack looks shocked seeing the figure grabbing his mother and putting a blade on her neck, Ghost looks down and gets in the portal, then the figure kills her.

Jack slowly looked back at the paper and read it 'I'm sorry I can't vis- bec- my s- I can't be there.. f-' half of the letters were unclear it wasn't the hand writing, it was as if they were moving and sometimes even disappear.

Jack burnt it and threw the ashes away,"I don't even need to read to know what he's going to say...as always.."

"Calm down Jack..we don't know what his state is.."

Jack sighed,"it's alright.. I've gotten used to it..to the fact that I'm never going to see Ghost again.."he got off the couch then went out of the house.

It was late at night.

Jack looked at his clothes, the Jacket he was wearing was torn off and had many holes Because of the bullets," whatever it's just a jacket anyway" he threw it on the ground but someone caught it, "a jacket gifted to you by your father"D said holding the Jacket.

"Exactly..meaningless"Jack shrugged.

"I know you're sad...I can see the anger burning inside you.."D tried to get closer.

Jack went up in flames,"exactly ! And if you get a step closer you'll be roasted !"

"It's not like I want to talk to you but Jade seems sad from the day you disappeared and whatever you did..fix it"D grabbed Jack then quickly teleported to his house letting go as soon as they got there.

"I didn't do anything ! And stop taking me wherever you want without my permission !"Jack walked to the door angrily,"oh and I don't care about what happens to you or your sister ! Just leave me alone !"he ran out slamming the door shut behind him.

"W-who was it ?"Jade walked out of her room sleepily.

"it's nothing, go back to sleep" D sighed.

"I can't...I can't sleep... Guilt is killing me...if only he didn't lose to me.. he would have a third fight and maybe win it.."Jade looked down.

"And what if he lost, Remember in sudden death round ? All the traps were unfair, the arena is owned by one man he does what he want, get rid of who he wants keep whoever he wants."D hugged Jade tightly,"it's not your fault, now go to sleep you have school tomorrow"

"You're alive ?! Why didn't you tell me ?!"Jade asked Jack while walking to school with him.

"I was fainted the last two days, and why do you always walk with me to school ?"Jack asked.

Jade blushed slightly then looked away and answered,"it's either you or nothing..it was a hard choice but then I realized zero is still a zero, hey where's your stupid jacket you're always wearing it even in fights"Jade asked.

Jack sighed,"laundry, why would you care anyway ?!"Jack walked faster trying to avoid her.

"Ouch, I was just trying to have a normal talk with my neighbor for once, ya know...I like annoying you, that face you make...it reminds me of someone"

"Sorry... First I'm just not in the mood second I don't know...your hands remind me of something as well.."Jack shrugged

"I guess it's alright, you escaped from certain death..but how ? No one ever escaped".

"one not two"Jack smiled.

"Two ? Who's the other ?"

"I guess my flower friend wasn't as useless as I thought he is"Jack shrugged.

"What was there ? What did you face ?"Jade asked feeling excited.

"Nothing I want to talk about..I don't have time either, look we're already there"Jack smiled but then frowned thinking about Petal, he hadn't seen him since they were in that lab.

Jack's POV

Where is that weed ? I always push him away from me but now I'm worried, I can't believe what I'm saying this but I really hope I see his flower face last time I've seen him he was in that lab but we both gets teleported if one sleeps..after I think of it that lab looked familiar..it was the one I've seen in the video ! There's no way they would be able to carry the entire portal and reinstall it, so the arena was built above the lab..phew it's getting really hot in here.

Even if my powers are fire I think I can still be hurt by them since I am a human, it seems the others are feeling the same thing.

The door smashed open and two masked men come in the classroom, they aimed what looked like guns at the students threatening to shoot if anyone moves, I see Jade eager to attack but she can't while defenseless people are around.

Not a minute later a single man that looks stronger than the others walk in, surely their leader since they called him boss.

He points at me then motions me to come with him.

I don't want to... ugh but what other choice do I have ?

I follow him out of class and through the hall, once we're out I try blasting him with fire...but his skin absorbs it okay so he has flame resistant not a problem I try physical force...ouch that could've gone better. I soon give up after multiple attempts, the man doesn't even seem to be shaken.

It's not fair though...he has two guns, a whip and armor with mask, and I don't even have a knife,"so where are we going ?"he ignored me, "consider it a death wish mister..bash ?"I look closer at the mask it has his name on it

"Oh well I'm feeling generous today, that arena dude wants us to make sure you're dead,and he want to watch you die to make sure it's all real I don't blame him though we're untrustable" Bash laughs..and I thought Petal's voice was annoying.

I let out a sigh and look down...I guess this is the end and again a last minute savior, I look forward and see two fainted guards and a pile of metallic ruble I'm not sure what that used to be it's destroyed beyond recognition.

I suddenly feel an even greater energy and its near.

Focused on one point it's a single person, I see guards falling down like flies as black energy saws and white energy beams from the sky hitting them away, I then see a..man ?

After looking again is it even human ? Does it exist or not..? Like those words in the letter he's.. glitching.

Bash tries shooting the thing but it dodges easily with a single step each time, with a single hand motion a huge white bean smashes through the roof and hits right next to bash shattering the ground digging three meters down,"next one won't be a warning shot" that voice...so dark and mysterious yet familiar.

Bash looks around at his wounded men then yells with the highest voice he can,"RETREAT !"he takes off his Mask then turn to ashes, seconds later the mask disappears as well, his comrades seems to have escaped the same way

I look at that glitching image and for a moment I catch a glimpse of Ghost, I quickly run to him but he seems worried, a black circle gets drawn on the ground while he's standing, I quickly get in the circle and then.. we're in a different place, I remember this place this is..my father's lab!
