Renard tried to keep a straight face in front of the girl. Just imagining his reputation being destroyed throughout Littlefeather if it got out he was scared of a little girl petrify him. The tremble in his facial features was barely noticeable but, Renard's body, in self-protection had taken a step back.
A gloomy feeling rose to Renard's head. 'Must I make a fool of myself in front of everyone I meet. I thought I would be able to adapt to this world easily. I'm still trying to hold on to my concept of reality from my past life, I need to stop that. I'm in a fantasy world, anything could be possible. Even this tiny girl being able to move a jumbo jet is possible.'
This process of events only felt like a moment in Renard's mind, it had taken a few seconds in reality. To the little girl, the man she had just come up to serve had taken a step back and slowly smiled while staring into blank space when she appeared.
The girl ignored what the customer was doing and just decided it was best to just continue with the normal process of greeting a customer.
Renard snapped out of what he thought was a good deception as he heard high-pitched and delicate voice coming from the young girl. "Hello there, welcome to Beth's Gear. I'm Kathy how can I help you today?"
After listening to Kathy he had a better look at her and realised that she was a bit peculiar. She stood on a stool behind the desk, from Renard's position she looked only about a metre tall. If she was young, then it would make sense being that height. However, she was actually serving a customer all by herself and to top it all off she had managed to move the weight of a jumbo jet by accident. It was like almost as if a ferocious beast was trapped into her tiny body.
She was wearing dark and thick leather trousers that covered the entirety of her legs. Attached along her waist were various loops and pockets filled with different tools that a blacksmith would use. Her chest was covered with the same leather material but it stopped at her head and shoulders. Covering her shoulders, arms and lower torso was a dark mesh that was tight to her body, it seemed like it a faint dark pink mist that covered it.
Renard then saw her face, soot covered her face with sweat streaks breaking though the dust in areas. She had light blue eyes but there seemed to be a fire burning in them. She had short black hair that fell to the right side of her head it only just fell below her ear, this style was complemented by the left side of her head being shaven. It was not a look that he expected to see on a girl of that size and with that voice. As she spoke again Renard imagined a terrifying beast mimicking a cute human to hunt its prey.

Renard kept his cool, as he was getting used to these weird events, and answered as if he hadn't been spooked. "I noticed that there is quite a lot of armour around here, I was wondering if I could purchase a set."
Kathy responded easily, "All of the items on display are either reserved orders or are not for sale but we also have some sets for sale that aren't on display. You can either reserve an order or take a look at the sets we have in stock."
Renard spoke honestly, "Can I take a look at the sets you have in stock, I feel that reserving and order will take too long, I'm an adventurer so I need this soon as I am planning to go out hunting and need some protection."
"Of course. We currently have two sets which I can adapt to your size. The first is a reserved order that never got picked up, this happens sometimes, it was probably an adventurer that died. It has decent defence however, it is only a torso piece as that is all that was requested."
"The other set we have is a full set of leather however, it was made as a test with the skin of a Sturdy Bull. It is a type of bull which moves very slow, it moves so slow that earth elemental energy sees them as part of nature and gathers in them. This makes the skin become quite strong. The only problem is the armour made from them reduces your speed, that is why it hasn't sold." Kathy responded showing an excellent grasp over the knowledge regarding to the items on sale. Kathy also showed of her skills as a merchant as at the end she added. "This also reduces the price of the armour too."
Renard noted what Kathy had said and thought to himself. 'Although that armour has that disadvantage I only need to protect myself when I am attacking, Almighty Power will let me deal enough damage as not to worry about the reduced speed.'
Renard knew that he should first try the armour before he made any decisions. "Is it possible for me to try on the second armour set before I consider purchasing it."
Kathy gleamed at the prospect of someone buying that waste of space armour. "Of course, based on your size it should be too big for you so can just slide the chest-piece on. Give me a moment I will go fetch it."
It didn't take long for Kathy to bring round the piece of armour, it was quite large but she carried it above her head with one hand. She put it down on the desk and said "Try it on and see what you think."
Kathy unusual strength did not agitate Renard any more and he simply picked up the armour to try it on. As he grabbed the armour the system made a noise.

'That's interesting. I better not choose any options in front of Kathy before I put it on, I don't want it to magically disappear or pop onto my body.' Renard thought the Cancel option and the menu went away.
Renard then put the chest-piece on over the top of his head, he did have to strain as it was quite heavy. Once he had it on he realised that it was very large on his body just as Kathy has said. The feeling of slowness was not there much to his surprise. Renard though for a moment and decided he should try and analyse the armour.

A large smile appeared on Renard's face and he looked toward Kathy.
"I'll buy it."
