In another time, and in another place, another day was commencing.

The world was met with warm rays of light, as the sun-bathed the morning skies with its rich bountiful beams. It was another beautiful and lively day filled with the rhythmic sound of hurried footsteps buffeting against the weathered pavement of the busy city streets.

However, inside of a dimly lit room, a shapely light skinned individual was resting soundly atop of a lush foam mattress. Their breath was steady, and you could see a relaxed look of undisturbed peace spread across their sleeping face, as they snuggled comfortably against the soft cushiony pillow hugging their slim waist.

When suddenly, their body jolted up right, and their dozy eyes shot open in panic.

Stretching their dainty arms out, as if gasping desperately for air. The once peaceful look of tranquility that painted their face was now replaced with a horrified image of impending doom, as their eyes swiveled frantically around, searching for some un-for-seen approaching threat.

With pupils trembling anxiously with fearful anticipation, the figure stood ready with marked vigilance however...

The expected danger never came?

Seeing as their was no immediate threat approaching, the figure's frightened face slowly contorted into that of utter shock and disbelief.

With no small amount of confusion and trembling hands, the figure clumsily reached down and clutched their chest. It held a strange squishiness to it, but they promptly ignored that, seemingly more concerned with the sound of their still beating heart.

Minutes passed by in deafening silence.

Blinking a dozen or so time, the figure unceremoniously plop their butt right back down onto the bed.

Removing their hand from their chest, they took a deep long breath. Although their countenance was still filled confusion, some inkling of clarity and awareness was slowly returning to their eyes....

Unfortunately, that brief moment of comprehensibility was sadly short lived, as the figure tried to take in their current surrounding.

Soon as the they casually turned their head to the right, they were greeted with the most unusual sight.

The person's brows rose wide in shock, and their eyeball nearly threatened to pop out.

A long oval mirror placed some few feet directly in front of them. On it reflected the face... of a young girl.

“Huh?”
