Chp. 5 Don’t Spook a Rinokeros

Ava was a skilled hunter, but I was still trying to get the act for it, I loved the adventure but having never used a sword before coming to this world his skills where quite lacking. Ava decided we needed to set out on a quest to hunt down a rinokeros. The creature was a rare hybrid between a rhinoceros and a tiger, known for its incredible speed and strength, as well as its thick hide that made it nearly impervious to attacks. She thought this type of monster would be perfect to help me hone my skills.

We had been tracking the creature for days, following its trail through the dense jungle, and we were getting closer with each passing hour. We knew that we would need to use all of our skills and weapons to take down the beast, and so we prepared our swords and bows and arrows for the fight ahead.

As they crept closer to the creature's lair, they could hear the sound of its heavy breathing and the rustling of leaves as it moved through the undergrowth. They knew that they had to act quickly if they were going to catch it by surprise, and so they drew their swords and prepared for the attack.

As they approached the clearing where the rinokeros was resting, they saw it rise up from the ground and let out a thunderous roar. The creature was larger than they had anticipated, and they knew that they were in for a tough fight.

Jensen charged forward, swinging his sword in a wide arc, but the creature was too fast and easily dodged the attack. Ava fired an arrow at the beast, but it bounced harmlessly off its thick hide.

The rinokeros charged towards Jensen, its sharp horns gleaming in the sunlight. But Jensen was ready, and he deftly sidestepped the creature's attack, plunging his sword deep into its side. The rinokeros let out a deafening roar, that was almost enough to stop the hunter in his tracks.

Ava continued to fire arrows at the beast, but it seemed as though they were having no effect. The creature charged towards her, but she was quick and agile, dodging its attacks and firing arrows as quickly as she could.

As the fight wore on, both hunters were beginning to tire. The rinokeros seemed almost invincible, and they were running out of ideas for how to take it down. But they knew that they could not give up, not after coming so far.

Jensen saw an opportunity and seized it, plunging his sword into the rinokeros' eye. The creature let out a final roar before collapsing to the ground, dead.

Exhausted but victorious, the two hunters made their way back to Maraschino, where they were greeted by Enzo. They had accomplished what he thought was impossible.

And as for the rinokeros, Enzo explained that its hide was used to create some of the strongest armor ever seen, and its meat would feed the village for months. Though it had been a fierce and terrifying creature, it had not been able to stand up to the skill and bravery of Jensen and Ava.

Jensen and Ava couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and pride. They knew that they had just accomplished a feat that few had dared to attempt, and they had done it with nothing but their swords and bows and arrows.

But they also knew that they had been lucky. The rinokeros had been stronger and faster than they had anticipated, and they had come dangerously close to losing the fight. They knew that they needed to continue to hone their skills if they were going to continue to hunt such dangerous creatures.

As they approached the Hunter’s Guild, they were met by a group of hunters who had been waiting for them. The hunters had been anxious about the hunt, fearing that the hunters might not return, but now they were overjoyed to see that Jensen and Ava had not only returned safely, but had also succeeded in their mission.

They praised the hunters, telling them that they had done a great service to the Astria by taking down such a dangerous creature. They knew that the rinokeros had been terrorizing the nearby villages for weeks, and they were relieved to know that it would no longer pose a threat.

Over the following days, Jensen and Ava were celebrated throughout the guild. People approached them on the streets, offering their thanks and admiration. Children asked for autographs and begged to hear stories about their adventure. Even some of the city officials praised them, telling them that they were true heroes. The rinokeros turned out to be some of the best steak he had ever ate.

But despite all the attention, Jensen and Ava remained humble. They knew that they had been fortunate to come out of the fight alive, and they were grateful for the skills and knowledge that had allowed them to succeed.

Luck had humbled the two hunters, and so, they worked day in and day out to train, honing their skills and learning all they could about the creatures that roamed the nearby forests and jungles. They knew that there would be more challenges ahead, but they were ready for whatever came their way.
