Hi everyone.  This one is a blast from the past!

I wrote this story in 2016, prior to ever publishing, much less becoming a professional.  It's a little dated and definitely shows its warts (to me), but I think some folks might still enjoy it.  Also, more importantly, I'd like to keep a record of this story on this site.

You see, I won an award!  Royal Road partnered with Wuxiaworld for a fan fiction contest based on ISSTH (I Shall Seal the Heavens).  Wing and Kana were both active posting ads around the site for the competition.  I think this was also the first time that Deathblade and I had bumped into each other.  Of course, now he's a peer a respect quite a bit.

I still have the badge/award on this site on my profile for winning.  Even though it wasn't first, I even made some money!  At the time, other than Patreon, this was the only money I'd ever made as a writer.  The memory is still special to me.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

So... few more disclaimers:

-This story is 8 years old (holy crap!)

-At the time, I was trying to emulate the ISSTH Wuxia writing, not writing in my own style.  As a result, grammar and flow are not perfect.  They weren't meant to be.

-If you have not read ISSTH, this story might not make total sense

-If you've read any Xianxia at all, this story will make enough sense to follow along

I don't expect many people to read this, but again, I wanted to put it up as a piece of history, and also as another point of lol when some random person on the internet says I don't know anything about Xianxia.
