Alvaro is face to face with the Grand Mage, the most powerful mage in town with access to all four elements, according to the information he has, the Grand Mage will be able to tell Alvaro what type of magic he can use. Although he has his mind set on what he wants to do regarding magic and the quests from the guild. Alvaro was optimistic, a thought was going around in his head that he might not be able to use magic at all and that would destroy his current mysterious plan.
"I am the Grand Mage of Drenoah, my name is Elizabeth Gown. What can I help you with, young man?"
Said the Grand Mage with a calm and slightly seductive tone.
"I'm sorry, can you repeat that? Your last name?"
Said Alvaro while frowning his face.
"Elizabeth Gown"
She replied.
"Oh... Well, time to find the log out button, wait... This isn't VR MMORPG."
Thought Alvaro while his face was showing some of his disappointment for this world he has transferred to. After taking a deep breath, he was straightforward with his questions.
"What can you tell me about summoning magic?"
He asked, the tone of his voice was strong, confident. Elizabeth reached to one of the many selves that decorated the walls of the office and pulled out a grey and black book, there were runes on the cover that Alvaro couldn't read at all no matter how hard he tried.
"Hm... Here is all the information about Summoning Magic, it's a branch of Shadow Magic that lets the user call forth a monster or a guardian to his side. There are specific spells to summon specific creatures and most of them seem to be beasts, others are more intelligent creatures like Undead or Spirits and the effect of the spell rellies on the Magic Power of the caster."
Alvaro was delighted, he continued with his next question for Elizabeth.
"Can you tell me what type of magic I can use?"
Elizabeth focused for a moment, her eyes sparked blue with arcane energy as she looked directly at Alvaro. After a few seconds, the energy vanished and a quick head shake after, Elizabeth answered.
"You have one magical aptitude, Wind Magic."
Alvaro was shocked, he didn't really expect to be able to use all forms of Magic or use his cell phone to talk to deities but he really wanted to have a more appealing magical power like Shadow Magic that he could use for his next scheme, even Fire Magic sounded cool in his head as he could rain destruction on his enemies but Wind Magic? What is the highlight of Wind Magic? These thoughts filled his head as he was disappointed by the results and if that wasn't enough, Elizabeth told him one more thing to crush his ego.
"I wouldn't bother with magic if I were you, even if you have a magical aptitude, your Magic Power is extremely low, there are kids in this Study that have much more Magic Power than you. My advice is that you look for your fortune in another path."
Alvaro knew something was wrong. How was she able to tell about his Magic Power? Apparently she has some sort of ability to see other's Magic Power. If that is really the case, then she isn't able to see the status screen Alvaro saw.

After confirming that his Intellect status was, in fact, low, he knew that this was what Elizabeth deemed as his Magical Power, the description of the status says that it affects the spell power and the mana points he has, in other words, how powerful his spells are and how many he can cast before he has to recover.

Alvaro sighed and then proceeded to ask,
"What can you tell me about Wind Magic?"
Elizabeth didn't need to reach for a book this time, it is known that she is able to use all four of the elemental magic that exists and the only thing that is out of her reach is Shadow and Light Magic.
"You don't seem like the type to give up easily, even after I told you that your talent in magic is minuscule, you still want to proceed?"
Said Elizabeth with a slight sadness in her eyes, almost as if she was looking at some helpless animal, that sight triggered Alvaro's ego.
"I didn't ask you to evaluate my Magic Power, I asked you to tell me about Wind Magic."
Elizabeth didn't find his tone aggressive even though that's what he was going for. She nodded at him and then extended her hand, a small tornado appeared in the palm of her hand as she chanted.
"Wind Manipulation, Tornado."
The small tornado stayed in her hand as he addressed Alvaro next,
"This is a very simple spell called Wind Manipulation. You can control the direction that the wind goes and manifest it in any shape you desire, with high enough Magic Power, you can control massive amounts of wind and conjure tornadoes or powerful gusts that can take apart your foes."
Alvaro seemed interested,
"Can you control the wind anywhere? What kind of range are we talking about? Do I need vision to use it?"
Elizabeth was astounded by Alvaro's pin-point questions, she thought that for someone so bad at magic, he sure has a lot of passion to learn.
"You can control it anywhere in close proximity, there is no need for vision since there is air all around us, if you train, you might be able to control the wind from far away and may I suggest you use equipment that can increase your Magic Power like magical artifacts or find a team member with Light Magic that can buff you."
Alvaro knew what he was going to do next, he had one final question for Elizabeth before continuing his plan.
"How am I able to learn this spell? How can I learn any spell for that matter?"
Elizabeth sighed,
"You sure are a stranger when it comes to magic, huh? What you need is a Spellbook, a tome that holds the incantations of spells, after linking your Magic Power to a Spellbook, you will be able to inscribe the spells that you learn to its pages. Of course, if you become very familiar with a certain spell, you will be able to cast it without looking at the Spellbook, it is necessary though since it works as a catalyst for harnessing Magical Power."
A whole lot of information was presented to Alvaro who at this point was thinking about his next move,
"Where can I find such a book? How can I use this Wind Manipulation spell after I put it in the book?"
Elizabeth was in auto-pilot as of now, answering Alvaro's questions one after another,
"Once you poor your Magic Power into the Spellbook, it will link to you and any spell that you have witnessed or read about will appear in its pages, that doesn't mean you will be able to use it though. As to how you can obtain one, I suggest looking at an artifact shop or a magic shop."
Alvaro had all the information he needed, without any more questions, he nodded his head towards Elizabeth and thanked her for her help,
"Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me, oh powerful NPC of the Mage Study. :
He said after exiting the office of the confused Grand Mage Elizabeth.
With his next plan in mind, he wandered around the halls of the Mages Study to find what he was looking for, a mage able to use Shadow Magic, and to be more specific, Summoning Magic. He looked around for any mage that would match the appearance he had in his head for a Shadow Mage, maybe a cloak that conceals his face...
"Let's see... Who looks like an edge-lord here?"
After asking around the Study and many of the students looked weirdly at him, he eventually was approached by a short guy with ginger hair and big round glasses, he looked exactly like what Alvaro would describe as "nerdy".
"Excuse me, sir?"
Said the guy while looking at Alvaro who at this point was starting to lose his patience and was slightly pissed with the whole situation about his aptitude.
"Huh? What is it?"
His tone slightly frightened young man but he held his composure and continued,
"I heard that you are looking for a Mage that can use Summoning Magic."
Alvaro's eyes shinned at this point, he knew where this was going. He let the young man talk for now...
"My name is Drakos, I am a Shadow Magician and I have studied Summoning Magic for the past 5 years, I am currently 16 years old."
Alvaro couldn't help it but giggle a bit, the name of this young fellow sounded extremely funny to him but his luck finally paid off, he found what he was looking for.
"Drakos, you say? Well, my little comic villain friend, I need you in my party. I have an excellent plan for you and your skills. I am what you call an adventurer and together you and I will make money rain like there is no tomorrow. All you have to do is listen to my instructions and we will be fine. I am Alvaro Brad."
Said Alvaro with a shady grin on his face, Drakos was a little intimidated by him but it was clear that he was willing to help Alvaro from the fact that he decided to introduce himself to him.
At this point, Drakos nodded at him and a strange message popped in front of Alvaro, similar to the status thing he saw.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drakos joined your party.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hm... Ok, what does that mean?"
Thought Alvaro and he talked Drakos into following him to the adventurer's guild.
After arriving at the adventurer's guild, Alvaro was curious so he tried to extract some information from Drakos without sounding completely clueless.
"Have you ever been in a party? Do you know how these things work?"
Said Alvaro so that Drakos would answer him and basically explain to him how a party would work, Alvaro made sure to sound like he knew so he wouldn't look like an idiot.
"No, Mr. Alvaro. I have never been in a party before. I am aware though that parties are supposed to work together and support each other."
Alvaro was disappointed, what he really wanted to know was how the experience gain would work while in a party. From what he knows as of now, he is the only one that can see these messages and information. Apparently, the people of this world can't seem to see a sheet of information like Alvaro can.
He took Drakos to the quest board and looked for a quest.
"What kind of quest do you think we should go for, Mr. Alvaro?"
Asked Drakos.
"Any kind of kill quest that requires us to kill some weak beasts and collect the remains. Let's see..."
Alvaro took a second to find a good quest for his experiment, after looking for a bit, he found what he was looking for.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kill 5 Blue Backed Wolves and collect the Wolf Fangs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That's it!"
He took the piece of paper and went to the bar where he saw the same manager as before, he placed the quest assignment in front of her and asked her to sign them for the quest.
"We will take this quest, is there a time limit to it?"
Asked Alvaro.
"No, after you accept the quest, you have as much time as you want, when you return here with the requested items, you will be rewarded."
Said the manager as she smiled at Alvaro. Drakos was quiet and simply followed Alvaro's lead.
Alvaro and Drakos took off. Drakos followed Alvaro who was ecstatic for some reason and they headed towards the market. There they stopped at a carpentry shop and the asked the shopkeeper,
"Hello, I am looking for some moderately sized logs, also a sharp knife or short sword that I could use to carve and logs."
The shopkeeper responded,
"Right, this is the tool you want."
He said as he presented a machete-like blade to Alvaro and then he continued,
"How many logs would you need? What size would you want?"
Alvaro saw a pile of logs that matched what he had in mind,
"I'll need about 15. There is a small problem though. I don't have a way to transport them at the moment. Would you mind if I asked you to hold my order here and I will come to pick them a few at a time along with my friend."
Drakos was a bit nervous,
"I don't know if I can carry so many logs, Mr. Alvaro. I don't know if I can make it."
Alvaro glared at Drakos and a feeling of anxiety engulfed him, Alvaro's look was a bit menacing and hard to deal with, the shopkeeper interrupted then,
"There is no need, young man. I can have my assistant deliver your order anywhere you like, of course it will cost a bit extra."
Alvaro sighed, he agreed and proceeded to tell the shopkeeper where exactly he wants the delivery of the logs to be. He looked a bit confused by the location but he called his assistant, a well-built young man in his mid-20s with long brown hair and tanned skin. They all boarded a wagon and the assistant loaded the logs along with the machete in the back. Alvaro then asked,
"Ok. How much do you want?"
The shopkeeper smiled and declared the price for the stuff and the delivery service.
"Let's see... I would like to say about 12 gold coins for the tool and the logs and 3 coins for the delivery. 15 gold coins. Does that sound fair to you?"
Alvaro didn't know the price of lumber, considering how a night at an inn would cost about one gold coin though, it seemed reasonable. He pulled out 15 gold coins from his pouch and along with Drakos and the carpenter's assistant boarded the wagon and drove through the town to where Alvaro specified he wanted the delivery to be.
They arrived a short distance away from the front gates of the town, they were close to the forest's tree line, far enough from town to not be disturbed but not quite in the forest to risk getting attacked by any wild beast or monster. The assistant was quiet and he unloaded the logs to where Alvaro asked. After finishing his task, he went back on the wagon and rode back to town. Drakos couldn't help but ask,
"Why do we need the lumber, Mr. Alvaro?"
He asked, clearly confused as to why they had to buy logs and a machete and why this place specifically.
"And now, my little dark lord, summoning friend... We begin..."
