“Achoo!” I sneezed while covering my face with a handkerchief.
“Bless you sidekick.”
"Thank you."
"You're welcome sidekick."
“Keep your germs away from me, you filthy gingerhead!!” demanded Emma.
“Jeez, it's not my fault I sneezed.”
“Maybe someone was talking about sidekick secretly hehe.” Koharu joked.
“Now who would even dare talk about me behind my back?” I responded
“Probably your little girlfriend hehe!” Koharu teased.
“Me and Mei barely knew each other for a week.”
“I bet that she's thinking about how ugly you are,” Emma whispered.
“I heard that.”
“I hope you do!”
“Stop fighting both of you” Koharu chimed in.
“Yes Ma'am” Both Emma and I responded.
Sitting in the backseat with someone who despises every fiber of your being really makes you question what you wronged them to the point they want your existence in purgatory.
Emma and I sat on opposite sides of each other meanwhile Koharu sat in the front seat driving.
The “1920s Jazz music” playing inside the car just reinforced my belief that the world I was reincarnated in is taking place in an era very close or similar to the 1900s all the way through the 1950s.
As if I was in an odd mashup or in-between of several bygone eras such as the “New Era” of the 1900s, “The Progressive Era” of the 1910s, The “Roaring 20s or Jazz Age” of the 1920s, “the Great Depression” of the 1930s, The “2nd World War'' of the 1940s, and lastly the Cold war era of the 1950s. I really was in a completely different world.
It was like some aspect of those bygone years had mixed or merged together where certain sectors of the country were exclusively or at least primarily taking place in those years

“What a Doozy…” I muttered to myself whilst scratching my head as I started gazing out the window of Koharu’s car.
Thinking to myself about such bare and negligible details has always been something I did even in my past life.
I glanced at Emma who had her arms crossed, leaning back on her seat while her eyes were closed. If it wasn't for her confrontational personality I would label her as a very beautiful lady, worth being treated as a queen, but reality is often disappointing.
The Outfit she was wearing was “befitting” of a secret spy or government agent… well mostly for the fact it seemed to be a sleeveless turtleneck one-piece bodysuit that practically left nothing to the imagination due to it also revealing her cleavage, the outfit did also come with long arm sleeves that barely reaches below her shoulders.
It was like Koharu purposely designed Emma's outfit with explicit sex appeal and stealth missions in mind.
As the car drove into the freeway, it felt like the drive was gonna take longer than initially expected, but that's fine with me, it gives me extra time for resting before the storm.
Even though I was expecting Koharu to be a very talkative and reckless driver, she's actually very calm and truly focused on the road ahead of her.
The car ride continued for quite a while, the city was darker than usual, it even started to rain softly and a thick fog slowly crept up on the streets of the city, it was almost a signal that it was time for crime to start occurring.
Eventually, the car arrived at our destination, it seemed like a place where you would expect squatters to be hanging out in, there were also several abandoned warehouses.
“We're here, now let's discuss our Battle plan,” Koharu spoke as she parked the car behind a large bush.
“Yes, Ma'am.” Emma prepared an assault rifle.
“Let's hear it then,” I answered while preparing the Revolver Koharu Gave me.
“The mission is to stop a severe crime, you see in this particular area in town, There are captured people held for ransom, and if the demands aren't met, they get trafficked and sold as slaves.
“So which building are we heading to?”
“We'll be splitting up for tonight.”
“What why!?” Emma and I both asked.
“Because You two keep fighting every time you're in each other's vicinities!” Koharu explained.
“But Madame! I don't want to be anywhere near that stroke Inducing Ginger head.” Emma shouted and started aggressively pointing at me.
“No Butts Emma, you and my sidekick can cover each other's back very easily.”
“How so!?” Emma yelled as if she was about to cry.
“You see, My sidekick May be very smart, but he is weaker than a fly, He'd die to a paper cut!” Koharu explained
“How low do you think of Me?” I responded.
“Hehehe!” Emma laughed slyly.
“Where as Emma here is very physically strong, But she is also extremely stupid,” Koharu explained further.
“Eh!?” Emma covered her face in embarrassment.
“Heh.” I snickered.
“The general idea here is that I'm 10 times stronger than Emma, and 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 more intelligent than sidekick!”
Just how low does this girl think of me as a human being!?
“But back to business, the plan is for you two to stop the current slave auction on the left side of the street, while I stop the one on the right side of the street, do I make myself clear?”
“Yes.”
“Yes ma'am.”
“Good, And stay out of trouble okay? Call me through your transceivers if you have to.”
“Right.”
And with that, We exited the car and split up to do a mission.
