Everyone in the area immediately went silent, they had been expecting something to go down. That's what the loudmouth adventurer was famous for, picking fights in a way that he could beat the shit out of his opponents and get away with it. But none of them actually expected Robert to punch him in the face like that, not even the adventurer himself. The only time that Robert could have gotten away with it was exactly when he threw that punch, the other members of the posse rushed over to the loudmouth who was now laying on the floor dumbstruck.
If you looked in his eyes after he realized what happened you would have sworn you were looking at an animal's eyes, not a man's. They were red as blood and his veins looked as if they could pop out at any second, his mouth was clenched tight, tighter than any lock. Then like a light going off, he jumped up and raised his fist, ready to attack Robert, trying to get his revenge. If it weren't for the other adventurers jumping in between them, he would have tried to take Robert's life.
"You motherfucker I'm going to kill you!" The adventure shouted trying his best to walk forwards pushing against the three sets of arms holding him back. The other adventurers who had been keeping a close eye on the situation got up and began drawing their weapons, they slowly began to approach Robert and the other adventurer.
"What? You said if I could hit you even once you would pay for my registration. It would have been a sin to miss out on such a perfect opportunity like that," Robert retorted back, looking him in the eyes and speaking with a calm voice. But on the inside, Robert was about to faint. Never in his life had he hit someone, yet his hands had flown smacking that guy in the face as if they had a mind of their own. Sure, he had the bravado, but he wasn't sure if he would be able to back it up.
After a few more seconds had passed, the adventure regained his senses and calmed down enough to throw one coin at the cat girl, then without saying a word he walked out of the guild post-haste, tearing a job request off the bulletin board Robert had missed when he walked in. It was a simple board that was attached to the wall covered in papers with every job imaginable on it.
"So umm how do I register?" Robert said, turning away from the now gone adventurer, and back to the cat girl receptionist. He needed to get this done as quickly as he could, his cat girl harem was on the line, and he had to make sure he did everything in his power to ensure its creation. The cat girl receptionist just smiled at him.
"Oh, please put your hand on this device so we can measure your level!" She said while looking down trying her best to hide the blush that had managed to creep its way onto her cheeks. Without saying another word, Robert placed his hand flat onto this gray-looking stone that couldn't have been any bigger than a to-go box you would get at a restaurant. The machine immediately lit up, turning a mild blue color. After a few seconds of staring at the machine, the cat girl began to speak.
"Ok, your level one that means you're an F rank adventurer, if you sign here, you'll be all set." Robert was so happy, not because he was signing up to put his life on the line but simply because being level one was normal in this world. He had seen so many manga and anime where this exact situation had happened and it wasn't right for them to be level one, yet here he was being handed a small bronze shield with a strange symbol on it that he could only assume stood for his rank. The cat girl had pointed at an empty area on the form making it easy for Robert to just scribble a signature on the paper.
"With your registration complete you get two nights paid for in a room above if you want, and after that, you will have to pay ten Zina a night," the cat girl receptionist said, snapping Robert out of his trance-like state. He could only nod at her after realizing what she said.
"Oh yes! Thank you, you have been such a huge help," Robert said, while taking a room key out of the cat girl's hands. As he reached for the key, he realized that a piece of paper was attached to it, Robert didn't bother opening the folded piece of paper right then and instead decided to wait until later for that. With that done he headed upstairs, opened his room, and shut the door behind him. What he walked into was a small room that he could reach both walls with his arms stretched out if he tried, and the only thing in this room was a small bed with one pillow and blanket. No bathroom, no amenities, and no food.

"I'm fucked . . .," Robert said out loud while staring down at what little he had available to him, in that monument he finally understood why the room came with his registration. If he ever saw the goddess who did this to him, he vowed to kick her in the face so hard that she wouldn't be able to fix it even with her godly powers. Robert walked across the room and sat down on the bed pulling out the piece of paper the cat girl had given him, he quickly unfolded it, acting like an antsy schoolgirl.
The piece of paper seemed to only have her name and her room number on it. But Robert had no way of reading the strange symbols on the paper. Robert knew what she was getting at, but he was too tired to do anything promiscuous tonight. That and he would have to find someone or something to help him read it, and that would either be too embarrassing or not possible at this moment. With that Robert laid down on the bed and quickly fell asleep, dreams of him attacking the goddess drifting through his consciousness.
As morning came, rays of sunlight broke into Robert's room, escaping past the blinds like a hero dodging bullets in the Matrix. He stirred, not wanting to wake up, not wanting to raise his eyelids to confirm that once again he was in a different world. But alas, that was becoming more and more difficult due to the sudden increase in noise coming from outside his room.
"You fucker, give that back!!" Came a scream that anyone who heard it would instantly understand that murder was probably about to be committed, and more than likely deserved. After listening to whoever was fighting, not caring about who or what they disturbed, Robert finally slowly drug himself out of bed, clawing his way along the floor, and began getting ready for his day. He didn't have any other clothes besides the ones he had taken off the night before, so he just threw those back on hoping that he'd be able to find some way to clean them after getting a better place.
After everything was ready and Robert's daily cryfest was over, he opened the door ready for anything that could be thrown his way. Then as his door flew open Robert was immediately greeted by a naked man shouting at the top of his lungs pointing upwards at someone else holding what looked like a towel in his hands.
"I said to give that back you fucker," the man shouted while thrusting his finger forward at the other man causing his balls to rock back and forth. Robert then slowly shut his door not ready for what the world had to throw at him.
After waiting in his room for another hour, ear pressed firmly against his door making sure that no sounds could be heard from the outside, he opened up his door and headed downstairs ready to grab a mission and work his way out of poverty.
As Robert made his way past the tavern part of the guild, he noticed the same cat girl receptionist from the day before. He wanted to walk up and talk to her, get to know and somehow let her know he was interested in her, but instead he went to the job board and began looking for something that would help him out of poverty. It wasn't until he was in front of it that he remembered, he had no clue how to read their language! No matter what he did, nothing made sense of what he was reading. Sure, the prize was easy to find, but that still didn't tell him where, when, or what he would be doing.
Standing there for a second trying his best to figure out what to do, he came up with a plan. Robert slowly approached the reception desk where the gray-furred snow leopard-looking cat girl was working.
"So, umm … got any good quests available to an F-rank adventurer such as me?" he asked, trying to be as smooth as possible, he didn't want her to know he couldn't read the language. If she found out the little reputation, he had created would get thrown completely down the drain.
"You can't read, can you?" She said looking at him with a smile, trying her best to hold back a laugh. Robert just stood there, mouth agape trying to figure out how he failed at getting past her notice.
"I saw you staring at the job board like it was a dragon that just landed in the city, then you come over here asking for a good job. The only thing to conclude is that you can't read," she said while putting her hand on her cheek holding back what could either be a snicker or a full-on laugh Robert didn't know which.
