Initially I regained my sense of smell and an abnormally fresh air hit my nostril, followed by the scent of wet soil. Next the numb sensation gradually faded, exposing me to the gentle humid breeze and the caressing of the tall grass. When my hearing returned, it allowed me to calm down. I couldn't hear any creature, which I thought to be a good sign. After I was able to move some of my muscles, I partially opened my eyes to observe my surroundings. It was either late morning or early afternoon, simply I couldn't determine which one was from the Sun position alone. I stood up as soon as I felt my body become responsive and looked around. I was in a lush green forest, alone, none of my classmates responded when I tried to call for them.
‘What I am supposed to do now? I don’t think I can make it to a settlement without food or water. If I walk straight then I might end up missing all the outposts, but if I go around in circles, then it is certain that I will never leave this forest.’ - My train of thoughts was cut short by a system notification.
[System quest: Walk 9 miles. (14.48 km) Reward: 5 exp.] - ‘Exp? So I can level up. First of all I should open my status somehow, I hope I don't need to shout something to bring it up. ’

‘I don’t see any equipment in here. Maybe it is in some kind of inventory.' - I waited, expecting another window to pop up, except it never did.
“Inventory” - I spoke loudly with a firm, commanding voice, but again nothing happened. In a bit of annoyance I questioned the system:
“So then where is my stuff?” - In that exact moment both the chainmail and the claymore appeared on the ground, out of nowhere. First I tried on the chainmail and was surprised by the weight, I thought it would be much heavier. After picking up the sword I discovered that it only weighed around 3 lbs (1.36 kg) and when I began focusing on the blade another window popped up.

[Greater Half-Mithril Claymore: An cyan claymore made from mithril and steel. ]
‘What does greater mean? When I chose the sword it wasn’t even there.’ - Now the system acted graciously and answered my question.
[It is a grading system: Lesser, Minor, Normal, Greater, Major, Superior.] - During this time the gentle breeze shifted to a cold wind and abruptly a massive burst of extremely fierce gale shook the entire forest from behind.
[Start moving NOW!] - ‘Why are you so angry all of a sudden? It’s just some big wind.’
[START MOVING!] [START MOVING!] [START MOVING!]
‘Okay, okay, I start moving.’ - I didn’t understand why I should, but I did as I was told. I just went straight to the deep and unknown forest, hoping that I would find a settlement before dusk. After 30 minutes of walking the weather significantly calmed down and at the same time I got bored of the identical, unchanging scenery. It was beautiful, but it lacked one thing that I wanted to see in other worlds, magic. The forest looked like any ordinary forest back on Earth, no magical plants, no magical creatures. Suddenly a striking realisation hit my head so hard that I stopped thinking.
‘I haven’t tried out my cool sword!’ - I swiftly paused my walking in front of a huge tree and strengthened my grip on the handle. I took on a dramatic striking position with the blade behind my head, including a moment to kill all the hesitation in me. I slashed diagonally. I made sure to use my entire body to generate as much force as possible. The cut itself was okay for my first try, it went almost halfway through, but the sword got stuck in the wood. To free the claymore I tried pushing and pulling and with a lot of work plus a vast amount of energy I eventually succeeded. After that, I sat down next to the tree, as I was out of breath.
Only then I came face to face with the first creature I encountered in this forest. A pair of blood red eyes shined from the wolf who hid under the shades of the trees. He started slowly circling around me which indicated that he found the perfect prey. Not wasting any second I stood up with the tip of the blade pointed towards the animal.
‘Calm down, deep breaths, focus. Don’t freak out, instead concentrate.’ - I tried to look confident and brave, but I couldn’t even make one step forward from fear. I understood if I were to make the first move, it would be such a grave mistake that I wouldn’t even have one. The wolf upon seeing a slight hesitation immediately rushed in from the left side and leapt aiming for my arm. When I saw the canine running at me, I turned my whole body, which created a good amount of momentum and using that to my advantage I thrusted. The sword impaled him right through the heart. The wolf as last words let out a small sorrowful howl as he slid down from my blade. When he landed, he was already dead. After a few seconds I also dropped to my knees from the stress and the inevitable shock of taking a life away.
[Congratulations on your first kill: You killed a Gray Lupus 50 exp gained.] - ‘Haaah, you sick bastard I will definitely kill you myself! Do you think this is some kind of game? If you are happy, because someone is being killed, then it is you who deserve to die!’
