I apologize for the delay in updating you all. Life has been quite hectic for me, with doctor visits and university taking up a lot of my time. While I had hoped to write as a hobby over the past two years, the stress of my coursework made it difficult to find the time and motivation to do so.
In my first year at university, I chose to study electrical engineering, which I thought would be both challenging and interesting. However, I quickly realized that it wasn't a good fit for me and decided to switch to a different course of study in 2020. Although this new path was also difficult, I had more free time during my first two semesters. Unfortunately, things changed during my second exam period in July 2021, and I had to take a break from writing.
Since then, I've been busy with my third, fourth, and fifth semesters. TIme surely flies by... I had to write a few papers and that resulted in writing as a hobby not feeling as fulfilling as it once was. I may have experienced some sort of burnout, but it was only in the context of writing.
Now, as I approach my sixth semester, I'm facing more coursework, including writing a bachelor thesis, that is going to be interesting, and finishing a handful of modules.
However, I did well on my exams during the last semester, which means I'll have about three weeks of free time before my next semester starts. During that time, I plan to continue writing the story I started in 2019, although I've decided to make some changes.

* First, I realized that the main character's strength level was unrealistic for a child, so I plan to address that in a perhaps believable way.
* Second, I had planned a plot involving Fiona's (that is the MC's mother) curse, but I now feel that it's unnecessary and will either remove it or execute it differently.
* Third, while I believe the world building is nice, I plan to rework some parts of it, such as the inspiration for the Empire.
Once again, and I cannot stress that more, I'm open to feedback. I will use your feedback to improve the story. However, I am no professional author. This is a passion project of mine, I just like writing and I like reading.
As for when the rewrite will be uploaded, I don't have a specific timeline yet. Why is that the case? I want to have a large enough backlog so that readers can enjoy the story without having to wait for weeks or longer between chapters. It's possible that about 40k words of the rewrite will be ready in April. But more likely is that I will upload everything I have written when my sixth semester ends. That is the case in late September.
