The days went by for Leo as usual, it was as if his life was on repeat every day, it’s not that he doesn’t want to change. It’s just that he can’t find any other job to work, due to him being an undergraduate and while he did want to get a degree, he didn’t have the time due to 9 to 5 job.

While his life is just going on, he occasionally does remember the empty letter and pendant his so-called parents have left for him. He once thought that maybe the pendant is made of something special and went to a pawn shop but was disappointed to find it was only worth 2$, so he just kept it as a memory and wears it every day.

‘Ahh this splitting headache ‘ As Leo wakes up he winces in pain, over the course of the past few days he has been waking up to these headaches and feels that a part of him has been split in to 2.

As he gets up from his bed he notices something sticking out from the corner of his bed, tucked under his bedsheet, as he checks it he finds it to be the empty letter from his parents, he is visibly confused as he remembers that he had kept it in the drawer in the next room.

He picks it up and opens it up to check it, and to say he was surprised was the least of it, the letter that has been sitting in his house for the last 20 or so years finally had something written in it ‘ Your Destiny awaits ‘. He was flabbergasted and his first thought was that someone was playing a prank on him. However, remembering that no one usually comes to his house that didn’t seem possible. Did someone break into his house? That also wasn’t very likely as his door bolt was fine and all the windows were shut and fine.

Leo did want to find out what happened but unfortunately, time wasn’t on his side as it was 8:20 and he’s already getting late for work.

Putting this thought in the back of his mind, he hurriedly gets ready to go out to work, while going out he has a blank expression on his face as his headache starts to pain more, Leo feels like me might just pass out any second.

He stubbornly held out and went on his way to work, he could just hope the pain gets better during the evening.

He goes on to deliver the package later during that day.

While half of the day went well in the evening, Leo finally met one rarest and most intriguing species of (KAREN) and he had to spend over 20 minutes just arguing over the most dumbest of things.

Leo was speechless he really wanted to say ‘mam you ordered from the shop that is from another town, (Author: for anyone wondering about the distance it’s about 60 kilometers away, in this scene) besides why would anyone even do that and then expect their food to be there in 30 min’.

Following that little episode everything went normal and despite his headache he made it through the day and was on his way to receive his salary, and he is also planning spend some money on food and wine as tomorrow is his birthday and he certainly wants to enjoy a little. In addition, there’s no harm in spending a little bit more money, he at least has some savings to rely on which he has saved during the past 3 years while working here and there.

As he enters the building he spots his manager “Claire”, she is a beautiful woman in her late twenties with long legs and curves. There’s only one downside? Well, she can be quite the bitch and often scolds employs when she is in a bad mood.

As he spots her, she also sees him and starts walking toward Leo, seeing her come towards him with a furious expression Leo immediately realizes he’s in trouble.

‘Hi, Manager’ Leo says to Claire.

To which she doesn’t event respond and goes on ‘we just got a call from a customer regarding a complain about your behavior and also the fact you got into a fight with them?’

‘Manager, I d.......’ Leo tries to explain but got cut off in the middle.

‘Due to this reason we’re firing you from this job you have to be humble and respectful to others’. Claire said and went the other way without listening anything.

‘Talk about being humble and respectful’ Leo inwardly grumbles, but he knows he can’t do anything about it.

After leaving the building, he just thinks about his current situation, now his only source of income is also gone. Now instead of happily celebrating his birthday, he needs to go on and find another job or else he will also lose his apartment.

Now thinking about it his life couldn’t get any worse now could it? He buys himself some alcohol to drown in his sorrows for tonight.

Leo reaches home at 10 p.m. and enters the living room, he sets down the alcohol on the table and enters the bathroom to take a bath, after taking a bath and getting fresh while he stands in front of the mirror he sees himself and his eyes which don’t have light.

He was quite good looking, not drop dead gorgeous but still better than your average person, standing at 6’2, having not much of muscles and fat he was considered lanky, black hair with shining blue eyes, he dared to bet if had put on some weight he might even find himself a woman, not that it would do any good on his finances.

After some more self-depreciating thought he decided to forget about it and focus on getting a new job tomorrow.

He went to the living room to retire for the day.
