Chapter 126

The day gave way to the night and an open void field remained. Time passed quickly and a great battle was fought on those same grounds, leaving many dead, archs and genais. Two figures, one man and a woman, stood in the middle of the destruction. The man’s eyes glowed a bright purple while an aura of light accompanied the woman. But someone else appeared on the horizon.

There was a child, no older than ten, walking through a field filled with the decaying corpses of genais and young archs. The child appeared completely unperturbed by the grim scene and a big mischievous smile showed on his face. He approached without fear the one who had been the cause of all that destruction, an adult woman surrounded by an aura of light.

It was the Legion of The Bright, the one who shone like the sun and wanted to be revered by all. On her side there stood the Legion of The Purple, the one who wanted to hold the entire world in his hands. They looked at the child and spoke to him.

The Bright intimated him to kneel to her and accept her as the only light of his life. The Purple ordered him to kneel to him and declare his allegiance. The child frowned and opened his mouth.

“What?” he simply said.

The Bright raised an eyebrow and The Purple spoke.

“Don’t you understand, child? Kneel,” he said.

“Strange,” the child muttered.

He kicked the ground and appeared in front of The Purple. He punched him. The Purple vomited blood and was sent flying far away. The Bright became enraged and fired a stream of light against the child. The surface of his skin got burned and his derma showed, although for mere instants.

“... It’s hot. I thought it would be colder. Strange,” the child commented.

A battle raged afterwards and the child emerged victorious. He conversed with The Purple before putting an end to its life. Slaughter broke out and the Legion of The Crimson was revealed to the world. For the next few months, the world turned red as a sea of blood was poured. All that saw him described him as an impossible existence, always accompanied by a sense of alienation.

The Crimson met The Green. A continent disappeared and The Green fell, her weapon broken. The child went on. Finally, there came the day when he confronted the Genai King. The two exchanged short pleasantries. The Genai King fought hard, engulfing The Crimson inside a sun of her own making, but she fell after a few exchanges.

The child sat on a rock in front of her cleaved body. The Genai King smiled at him, preparing herself to console the saddened and confused child. He opened his mouth.

“Strange,” he muttered.

“Destiny is indeed strange, child” she began speaking but was immediately interrupted by the child.

“Isn’t this familiar?” the child asked.

The Genai King’s frows burrowed. She didn’t understand the words of the child. He sighed and stood up.

“Strange,” he muttered once again.

He walked towards the horizon, leaving behind the dying perplexed Genai King.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

It was a young child.

“What?” he shouted out, before attacking the two in front of him and swiftly cutting their lives short. The only damage he suffered was a hole through his thigh, which quickly recovered.

The Legion of The Crimson was revealed to the world and seas of blood were spilt. The Crimson hunted down The Green and quickly dispatched him. He then found the Genai King and immediately attacked her.

He sat on a rock in front of her cleaved body.

“Familiar?” he spat out.

“What?” the Genai King asked, confused.

“I don’t understand,” The Crimson left the Genai King and traversed the horizon.

The day gave way to the night and an open void field remained. A child appeared in the middle of a great battle and destroyed everything in sight. A man and a woman cried out confused at the sudden appearance and got mowed down by the savage presence with bloody eyes.

The Legion of The Crimson got revealed to the world. He killed The Green and immediately after he got rid of the Genai King.

The day gave way to the night and once again the child dispatched The Purple and The Bright. He avoided The Green and directly maimed the Genai King.

The day gave way to the night and the child left the field, pursued by The Purple and The Bright. He found the Genai King and fought her to the end, all the while his chasers biting at his sides. He won once again and left the area.

The day gave way to the night. The child fought and the Genai King fell.

The day gave way to the night. The Crimson destroyed everything in sight and vanquished the Genai King.

The day gave way to the night…

And so it went on, the child growing continuously frustrated at deja-vus and memories that should have been accumulated inside his mind. His opponents were stronger than he remembered and every time he fought them for the first time.

He brought down the Genai King. Sadness and confusion had disappeared from his being. Only annoyance remained.

“It’s looping!” he cried out in fury, splitting the land with his shouts.

The Genai King looked at him astonished. She had been overpowered in less than an hour by a child she had never met nor anyone had ever heard about. She had lost her arms and legs, but had been spared from death. The child was scrutinising her, looking for something she didn’t know.

“How many times? I don’t know!”

The child looked up frustrated. Then he sharpened his eyesight as he gazed at the sky, his glowing crimson eyes peering through reality layer by layer. “Something” was wriggling from beyond the stars.

He focused and let the world pass by him. Space had grown thinner and time had gotten jumbled. An unknown essence pervaded the soil and the sky, forcing everything to repeat endlessly. He recognized the one he had fought had been touched by that same dimension and made stronger each time the wheel turned.

“You wanted me to forget? But I don’t forget! I’m strong!” the child shouted at the figure he thought he could see.

He raised his fists and swept his hands. Space bent and almost tore up. The ripples travelled far and wide, visible to the naked eyes of many. Orbits would slightly change after that day.

“I’m right! There is someone there!” The Crimson shouted once again.

He clawed reality and broke open the wall that divided the concrete from the rest. Immensity revealed itself. The world cried in pain at the sudden appearance. The child remained unperturbed.

He smiled and giggled. He had found the answer. An infinity looked at him and he held her gaze.

“Hello! You must be mommy!” the child yelled gleefully.

He stepped beyond the opening and nothing remained. Voices imprinted themselves in my head.

The world reappeared. The firmament split and a broken soul fell down. Its essence trickled from its open wounds and rained on the earth like a soft drizzle. It shone like a dying star, its light one step away from vanishing. The world morphed and welcomed the following soul in its bosom, shielding it from the chaos from beyond.

“I’ll keep mommy busy! See you soon daddy!”

I was on all fours, sweat and blood flowing from every opening in my body. I looked up. I had returned. I looked to my side and there I saw Tobias standing.

“How late?” I asked.

“Two days,” he answered.

I kicked the ground and set out to where I belonged.
