We are back to the current day. Karasu is back home getting ready for his weekly training session that will continue up until midnight or even longer. He doesn't get into trouble for staying up late for 2 reasons.
1. Tomorrow's a Sunday.
2. His parents don't care.
It's now 8PM. Karasu notes down the date and the things he hopes to do today. Date is April 10th 2051, and he's planning to do some physical training like punching speed, kicking speed including overcoming isometrics and training his power to crush even more buildings. He wants to get physically stronger and also increase his telekinetic capacity. He doesn't know how much he will be able to achieve but he hopes to do both the things.
Karasu starts getting ready. He puts on his hoodie, trousers, his mask, and his gloves. He will be doing some boxing today for training his arms to punch harder and also be able to carry more weight with his bare hands instead of having to rely on his powers. He wants his power to be a last resort or a finishing move, so that people would know that he is a mutant. "Stopping those assholes is first priority." says Karasu. That's what he's working towards. He wants to be an unstoppable force that the criminals will be scared and be wary off before doing anything wrong.
If the situation calls for it he will become the world's enemy to force people to work together. Only then will they learn to live together. That's what he believes. He always thinks about whether his viewpoint is right or wrong. He has no answer, and he is still looking for it. "Oh hey, I should design a suit for myself." He thinks to himself, "It would be good to have a uniform if I turn this into a world-wide effort… Shit. I am getting too presumptuous." Karasu grabs his phone and starts going down the stairs and then leaves through the door.
He has a metal sheet near the house's gate that he will use to go to his training spot. He stands on the metal sheet and starts using his power to levitate it and he leaves. It takes around 5 minutes to get to the spot as he was going slowly surveying the surrounding and also looking for any small-time criminal that he might be able to see. But things are quieter than before. It's probably because of the mall incident where Karasu subdued a pyromancer and his group. If so, then that's great.
After he reaches his training spot, he puts down the metal sheet and his phone, and starts looking for any people that might be around. He doesn't want any people around his training spot. There are none. The training spot is under a bridge, an abandoned bridge. The bridge is rotting away, time is eating it away. There're tires lying around and a broken car that Karasu has used for training when he was only able to crush cars but he has gone past that. Crushing cars is not enough stimulation for his power to increase, so, he tries to move mountains, doesn't matter if he succeeds or not. At least they give him enough stimulation to go past the plateau.
Karasu now starts off with attaching weighted bands to his wrist, wraps clothes on his fist and then he starts off with running he runs from where he is to the other side of the bridge and back. He does this 5 times and then runs back to the other side where there's a partially broken pillar that was supporting the bridge. The pillar had rusted rebar poking out. Karasu had been punching this pillar for a few years now. He started when he was around 13. At first, this pillar was fine except for some moss and mushrooms covering it. This pillar was visual proof of his progress. One day he hopes that he will punch down this pillar and break down that end of the bridge.
Karasu starts punching the pillar and the sound of his punches echoes throughout the nearby forest. This used to be a bustling city in the past, but it is nothing more than a forest with no person in sight. The punches were stronger with each swing of his arm. The thumping keeps getting louder. He keeps going until his hands hurt and he can't go on anymore. He punched this pillar for 5 minutes straight. His punches have gotten stronger. Each punch that connects breaks the pillar from inside. Karasu feels the cracks forming with each punch.
After resting for 3 minutes, he goes back to the punching. He continues this process for an hour. His arms are burning. He thinks they probably have burnt to a crisp by now; that's how much it hurts. Today, he was able to break off a piece of the pillar. He's quite happy about it. Karasu then lies down near the pillar, exhausted, not wanting to go any further. He looks at his clock. It reads: "9:17". He decides to rest for a bit and then he will move on to some leg exercises. After 10 minutes of doing nothing, Karasu got bored and got up. He moves to another pillar that he uses to practice his kicks. It's even more beat up than the Punching pillar. It's to be expected, legs are stronger to being with.
He takes off the weights from his wrists and puts them on his ankles. He tightens his shoes and gets into his kicking stance. He's focussing on speed today and also on chain attack with different kicks. Every one of his kicks hit the pillar with enough force to vibrate the entire bridge. He kicks that poor pillar for 10 minutes straight. His legs have a lot more endurance than his hands. That's important for being able to run longer distances or run faster but for shorter distance, both important for different situations. After the first 10 minutes, his legs are tired as hell. He rests for 2 minutes and goes back to kicking.
He continues this entire process for another hour and pillar is probably crying, he thinks. He starts speaking to the pillar while patting it, "Sorry, bro. But I need to kick you. I love you, though, so don't cry." He checks the time on his watch, "10:23". He sits down and rests for around 10 minutes. He pulls out his diary and reads again what he would be doing today, "Physical training and work on his ability." Right. Karasu starts running towards the forest and climbs the small cliff. Once he is at the top he jumps down. And he repeats this for 10 to 20 times. "I might have to do some mountain climbing anytime. No one knows when that might happen". His legs are about to give out. He contemplates going back home but he's not done yet. He will push himself till he feels like his legs are broken, rest, and only then will he go back home. Then rest the entire next day. He has been doing this kind of thing for a long enough time that his body has gotten accustomed to this and recovers faster including his stamina.
He climbs on to the cliff for one last time and then he runs on the bridge to the other side to move on to the next part of his training. He's getting closer to the broken buildings and as that happens he sees a figure coming around the corner from the far side of the road. He watches carefully. The figure appears to be that of a girl. What the hell is a girl doing all the way out here? Moreover! At this hour? It's over 10PM! That's suspicious. Karasu believes it could be a homeless woman, but wait… It could also be a person in tandem with a drug-lord. Seems far-fetched, yes, but it is a possibility. Drugs are after-all a common occurrence in this day and age. It's a way for people to get out this stressful environment, into their own fantasyland. Karasu decides to get closer and maybe encounter some criminals. If it is a bunch of criminals he will only be using his raw power without his ability to subdue them. That will be an interesting test for sure, to see how far he has come, and if the criminals have guns, then it's even better.
Karasu walks closer to the figure. She looks out of breath after all the running. She raises her hand up to her chest and faint green light is emitted. He has seen this before. Is it Mitsuri? Karasu gets up from his crouching position and confidently walks over to the girl. She hasn't noticed him yet. Her heart beat must be loud in her head. The same way it happens to Karasu. He closes in on her from the back. He starts to slow down. The moon is not bright enough to make out the details of the face, nor the hair colour, but only a silhouette. He stands near the girl about a foot away from her. Her scent is familiar. Someone he has talked to. He has talked to Mitsuri in the past… It has to be. Only she will be stupid enough to be running around at this hour expecting everything to be fine.
Karasu finds a stick on the ground. It has a cylindrical shape. That's good, he can pretend it's a gun. He picks it up and puts on the girl's back and the girl gasps. Karasu has to take precaution. He can't just expect it to be an acquaintance, although it's most likely her. He talks in a higher voice to not make his identity obvious. He asks her, "What's your name? If you scream I will not hesitate to shoot." She replies, "Na… Nagisa…" Karasu asks her for the full name. "Nagisa Mi… Mitsuri. Please don't kill me. You can beat me up but please don't kill me. There's a guy I want to meet. If you kill me then I will haunt you forever." She said all this quite fast. She was scared and anxious. Karasu felt weird by her answer, but, hey, that's Mitsuri. Karasu puts the "gun" down and puts his hand on her head and speaks in her ear in his normal voice, "Are you dumb? You should REALLY go back to primary school. You shouldn't be in high school you know."
Mitsuri recognizing him, instantly turns around and looks at him with tears in her eyes. She has tears in her eyes as she got scared. She also seems to be a bit flustered because of what she said. "What the HELL MAN?!" Karasu, taken aback by the sudden change of attitude, says, "What?" "Why would you do that??? I thought I would die, you DUMBASS!" Mitsuri says with frustration. "Shit. I am sorry. I didn't expect you to be stupid enough to be running around such a place, at THIS time." Karasu replies. "You gave me a HEART ATTACK! Do you know that?" Mitsuri snaps back. Karasu pats her on the head and says, "Ok, I am sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. Also, to be honest… I didn't expect you to get so scared. I thought you were much braver."
Mitsuri is surprised to hear that, "I am brave… just not brave enough… What should I do to be like him? I just, really want to be like him…" Karasu perfectly knows what she means and reassures by saying, "Oh come on! That guy has been doing this for years! You… You haven't even started yet. Stop focusing on him if you want to improve. Take him only as an inspiration and someone to look up to, not someone to compare you to. That guy has a head start of probably a decade. You are you, take the time you need." Karasu says it all with confidence as he has started off since he was 5. That's when he killed the first person to save someone. Even though he didn't mean to kill anyone, it still happened and it can't be changed. Karasu has been doing this for 11 years and is happy to finally see someone that he has inspired to follow on his path.
Karasu asks Mitsuri to return home as it can be dangerous to be in an abandoned area at night. Mitsuri tells him, "Isn't it dangerous for you too? It's night for you as well." Karasu is caught off guard but he has a good reason, or so he believes, "I am familiar with this area. I have been here many times, you know. So, it's not really dangerous for me. But for you it's a different story for you."
Mitsuri doesn't say anything against his words instead she agrees with him that she did put herself in a dangerous situation. A loud sound is heard a few feet from them, startling Mitsuri. She clings to Karasu in her sudden panic. Karasu was taken aback by this sudden reaction, but its fine he thought. He tapped Mitsuri on her shoulder. She realised what she just did and got embarrassed. She got away from Karasu and started apologising. Karasu reassures Mitsuri that he is also startled by the sudden sound and tells her that it's fine and he doesn't blame her. They both laugh it off as the situation is quite silly. The sound is heard again. This time they are sure they are not alone. Mitsuri is now worried and Karasu decides to investigate the source of the noise. “Come with me. I can’t leave you alone.” Karasu told Mitsuri. She was adamant at first as she was scared, but decided to follow him nonetheless.
They are cautiously walking towards the presumed source. Mitsuri is following right behind him holding onto his shirt. As they are walking between the crumbling buildings trying to find the thing that is hiding in the shadows, a cat walks to them and starts meowing. Both of them are relieved thinking that the cat was the reason for the noise. Mitsuri kneels down and starts talking to the cat and petting it, “Hello, Kitty. What are you doing in such a place?” Another loud sound is heard, and the cat quickly turns around assuming a defensive position and starts hissing loudly while looking in the direction of the sound. Karasu walks in front of the cat and stands between them and whatever caused the noise ready to fight. “Leave. This could be dangerous.” Karasu tells Mitsuri. Mitsuri picks up the cat and starts leaving. Karasu is ready to fight just in case and gets into an offensive stance. As he's waiting for the thing, another cat jumps out. It starts meowing as well while looking at the other cat. Mitsuri stops in her tracks, turns around and puts down the cat she was carrying.
Both the cats start walking towards each other and start playing. "Hmph. Weird." Karasu thinks. Mitsuri breaks the silence, "I think I should go home now. Let's meet tomorrow at school." She starts walking away again and bids farewell. Karasu stops her, "Meet at school? What do you mean?" Confused, Mitsuri asks, "What do YOU mean?" Karasu with visible frustration, looks her in the eyes and says, "Tomorrow's Sunday. We don't have school tomorrow." Mitsuri now understands her mistake and says, "Oh… Wow… I really am dumb, aren't I?" Karasu agrees with her. Mitsuri is surprised at him agreeing with her, "Wait… I thought you would say something like, 'No, Mitsuri-chan. You are not dumb! You are so smart!' You are unpredictable." Karasu replies, "Unpredictable? I don't give fake compassion to people. Everyone deserves to know the truth. And what you said about yourself was in fact, true." Mitsuri is even more surprised at his response and gets a bit disheartened.
Karasu notices this and has a solution, "Hey, Nagisa. Would you like to do something really smart?" Mitsuri says that she does want to prove that she's smart. Karasu speaks with a determined look on his face, "Good. Very good. First of all, stop trying to PROVE that you are smart. Just do the needed things. If you do them at the right time you will end proving that you are smart without even trying. When you try too much you will look dumb. That's applicable to everyone. Second, go home."
Mitsuri was listening intently, but when he mentioned going back home she made the face of a toddler not wanting to leave the park. She wasn't happy with his response, and Karasu knew that. "Fine, fine. I am going." Mitsuri says with a slightly annoyed look. Karasu stops her, again. "I will drop you off. Just wait for me." Mitsuri finds this to be a pleasant surprise, and she looks more happy than annoyed. Karasu goes down the slope and picks up his phone, but he leaves the metal sheet. He goes back up to where Mitsuri was waiting for him and they both start walking away from the scene. Karasu looks down at the metal sheet and starts moving it. "I can't lose this bad boy." He thinks to himself. He's keeping it a bit far away from them, so that Mitsuri won't notice it.

Mitsuri raises a question to Karasu, an important one. "When did you get familiar with that area?" Mitsuri asks. Karasu was not ready for that question and he starts putting a response together. He found a convincing lie. "I used to come here when I was kid, with my dad." She likely won't question the validity, or that’s what Karasu thought. "Why did you come here? There's nothing here." She asks again. "God, dammit." Karasu thinks and starts working on another reason. "My grandparents used to live in that area. I used to come here during summer holiday. But… they are… well… dead, now." Mitsuri starts profusely apologising for being insensitive with such a question. "It’s fine." Karasu says trying to stop her, "It's been a long time. I don't mind anyway. So, you don't need to be sorry." Mitsuri stops after a bit of back and forth and they keep walking. "Ok I… gotta ask this. Are you sure you want me to see where you live?" Karasu asks wanting to be sure. While Karasu was saying his part Mitsuri had shyly stuck out her hand showing her ring finger. She was looking away and was trying to hide her face. "The fuck is happening? The hell is she doing? My eyes are lying to me, right?" Karasu thinks. In his perplexed state he asks, "Are you good? Is your finger hurt?" saying this he starts inspecting her finger as they are walking. Mitsuri starts giggling and then it turns into laughter. "What? What were you thinking?"
They both stop walking. He lets go off her finger and retorts back with, "What were YOU thinking?? I thought you injured your finger while carrying the cat, and were showing it to show me." Karasu also starts laughing with her. "Anyways, it's fine. You can come to my home for a bit. You can leave after being there for a bit. So, it's all good. My parents will be happy to meet you as well." Mitsuri said trying to reassure Karasu. "Well, alright. I guess I can relax for a moment." Karasu says. "I have an important question for you!" Mitsuri mentions, getting Karasu's attention. "Is this first time going to girl's house?"… Karasu looks disappointed and sighs while looking up, "Is that what the word 'important' means to you?"
"What? Just answer the question." Mitsuri says in a bit of confusion. "I have been and, a lot of times." Karasu says. Mitsuri, surprised, says, "Wow, seems like you are really popular." Karasu gives her a sly look and has an idea, "Aww. Are you jealous, huh?" and he starts to chuckles. "I didn't expect you to sound like a chicken." Mitsuri retorts. Karasu instantly stops laughing and looks at her. Mitsuri starts laughing again. This time Karasu doesn't laugh but chuckles and mentions that they should get going. "Do I really sound like a chicken?" Karasu raises this simple question. "Yes, like this." After saying that Mitsuri starts imitating the way Karasu was laughing and makes it sound more like a chicken trying to convince Karasu that what she was saying is true.
Karasu has a look of disappointment. For a while they just keep walking and not talking much. The metal sheet is hovering high above them. This entire time Karasu wasn't even focusing but was able to control the metal sheet regardless, which when he realises he is surprised because he wasn't able to do that before. He HAS to note this down. Both of them reach a convenience store while on their way and Karasu walks in without saying anything. Mitsuri is confused but follows him in. Karasu is looking at drinks. "What are you doing?" Mitsuri asks, "Aren't we late?" "There's enough time." Karasu tells her. He walks to the cashier with 2 bottles in hand. "Oh, now we have time?" Mitsuri asks, questioning his reasoning. "Just these 2 drinks, please." Karasu says to the female cashier. While scanning the items, the cashier looks at Mitsuri who is looking intently at Karasu waiting for an answer.
The cashier speaks to Karasu, "Your total is 500 yen." Karasu pays the amount and the cashier asks them a question while handing him the drinks. "Are you both on a late-night date?" Mitsuri has a flustered look and doesn’t answer the question. The cashier notices this and assumes that she's just too shy to answer the question. "Do you think we are a couple…?" Karasu asks with a concerned look. "Wait, you are not?" the cashier says while being surprised. "No, we are not." Karasu says, and Mitsuri looks disappointed with that response. The cashier sees this and Karasu turns to Mitsuri. She quickly smiles and asks, "What? What happened?" "Let's go now. We are late." Karasu says. Mitsuri thinks, "Wait, didn't we have time?? What happened now? Are you crazy Karasu? Decide on what you want to say. We can't be late and have time at the same time."
Both of them leave the store now and Karasu hands her a bottle and starts drinking from the other one. "You didn't have to buy me a drink…" Mitsuri says, "This wasn't needed." "Just drink it. Why do you think I bought 2 of them? To play with them?" Karasu asks her, pointing out the fact that there is no other reason for him to buy 2 bottles of the same drink. "Did you think I will put them in a tower and then go, 'Weeeeee! Yayyy! This is so fun!!!' Let me tell you. I won't do that." Mitsuri is a bit taken aback but he's right. "I thought you were going to drink both of them." Says Mitsuri, trying to explain her reasoning, but Karasu isn't convinced. As they finish their drinks they reach Mitsuri's home.
Mitsuri walks to the door and presses the bell. Her mom opens it. Karasu greets her informs her that he will leave and then he starts walking. Mitsuri's mom looks worried thinking who he might be. Mitsuri runs to him and drags him back, "Hey you are coming inside! You promised that you would come in and meet my parents. You can't just leave now!" "Are you really sure? Wait… when the hell did I promise?" Hearing Mitsuri's words made her mom even more concerned. Mitsuri dragged Karasu to the door. As Mitsuri was starting to speak, her mom drags her away for a bit and raises one of the important questions that any sane parent would ask, "Who is this guy? And why did you invite him here? Are you dating an older guy? Do you know what your dad will do?" Mitsuri's dad hears this commotion and decides to check what the hell is happening. He sees his daughter backed to the wall with his wife holding her up to the wall by her shoulders and there's a man standing in the doorway. "What the fuck is happening and who the fuck are you?"
Karasu is ready to walk away any moment because he doesn't want Mitsuri getting in any trouble because of him. Her dad is walking to him and he looks like he is ready to have some sort of fight. "If he decides to fight me, it will be bad for him. I should leave." Karasu thinks to himself. Karasu starts walking away again saying "Don't worry, sir. I won't come ever again." And he bows down. Her dad holds him by his shoulder and says, "You didn't answer my question, did you?" he turns to his daughter with an angry look on his face and says, "Is this what you go out for, this late at night, huh?". Karasu towering over him wants to speak up but he isn't sure as to what he should say as he doesn't want to cause more trouble. Mitsuri now prompts her mom to let go of her. When she's free she goes to her dad and asks him to let go of Karasu, "Dad, can you let go of him? I was the one who invited him here." Her dad is confused, "Is this guy your friend?" Mitsuri confirms it and her dad lets go of Karasu and turns to his daughter to say, "Why are you getting involved with older guys? Do you know all the risks it entails?"
Mitsuri makes an audible sigh and says, "Let's get inside first… then we can talk?" All four of them now stand inside the house near the entrance, and Mitsuri closes the door. Mitsuri now starts, "This is Kurokawa Karasu. He is my classmate and a friend. We met in *that* abandoned place when I was out for my run. He scared the hell out of me and he offered to drop me off as it's late at night and it would be dangerous. I was the one who invited him to come home. He was saying that he will leave once I am close to home. Now, does that clear things up?" Her dad puts his hand on his face while looking down. Her mom bows, and says she was sorry for misunderstanding and thanks him for dropping off their daughter. Her dad also apologises to him for being aggressive with him. "I… can't blame you. People always mistake me for a much older guy. Many people look at me and think I am a 40 or something guy with 2 divorces 5 kids and I sound like I smoke and drink all day."
Her dad gives him an amalgamation confusion and concern, "Are you… and do you drink or anything like that…?" Mitsuri says, "Dad!" "I am sorry. It was just way too specific. And, to be honest I did believe what he said. That was my perception of him. He's just… spot on." Her dad says, perplexed at the accuracy of Karasu's words. "Damn! Hiroshi is a psychic. I didn’t know that." Her dad has never heard that name and assumes that it's Karasu's friend, "Is that your friend perhaps?" "He is. He's the one who gave that description about me." Karasu sighs as he admits defeat, "Never expected him to be this accurate." "Ok ,let's stop talking about that. Mom, dad do you have anything else you want to ask?" Mitsuri says as she tries to change the subject. Her mom speaks up, "Does she give you any trouble? She is a bit stupid so, I don't expect her to not trouble you." Mitsuri's dad chuckles at the remark while looking at Mitsuri. She has mouth agape unable to believe what she just heard mom say. "Are you serious, mom?" Mitsuri says trying to get her mom to change the statement. "Yes." Her mom says instantly, as soon as she asks her questions.
Mitsuri's dad starts laughing harder. "This is ridiculous dad. Stop laughing please." Misturi says. She looks at Karasu. He is looking at the three, looking as if he doesn't want to laugh at her; at least that’s what she thinks. "Thank you for not laughing at me." She tells Karasu. "Uh… yeah. You're… welcome?" Karasu says. "Wait, is she SUPPOSED to thank me?" Karasu asks himself, not knowing why her parents are laughing, but only understanding why she's looks a bit sad. "Oh come on, honey. I was just joking. Don't be sad. You are not stupid. I just wanted to know if you are giving him any trouble." Her mom says, trying to reassure her. "That is not the way you do it." Mitsuri says, after which her mom apologises. Karasu is flabbergasted with his eyes wide-open unable to believe this turn of events. He can't believe her mom just apologised. He tries to not make this reaction obvious and thinks that this is just the way THEIR house is.
Mitsuri's mom now suggests that they should all go inside and have a nice talk and they do. All four of them keep talking until it's almost midnight. Karasu learns quite a bit about Mitsuri and her family. But the thing her remember most clearly was that her dad's name is "Nagisa, Kazuo" and her mom's name is "Nagisa, Haruka". When Karasu notices that the time was 23:45, he says that he should be leaving now. They all agree with him and Kazuo-san suggests that he can drop him off if he wants. "No. Thank you, sir. I can definitely handle myself if I can handle your daughter." All of them laugh at that statement and Mitsuri shows a little bit of embarrassment. "Go, see him off." Mitsuri's dad tells her. Karasu and Mitsuri get up and walk to the door. "I had a good time." Karasu says. "See! I told you, didn't I?" Mitsuri snaps back. "Yeah. Anyways, tell them, I wish them good night. Of course good night to you too." Karasu says and then he starts walking away. "Good night! Stay safe!" Mitsuri says and then walks into her house.
When Karasu hears that the door closed, he instantly summons his metal sheet and rides it back home, taking his sweet time. Karasu reaches his home at 12AM, and he decides to go take a bath. Exiting the bath room at 12:30 AM he goes to the kitchen and pulls out a cola and pours himself a drink. He turns on the TV and starts watching the news. There's nothing concerning or interesting today, he thinks to himself.
"A new murder case has emerged where a mutant teenager has killed his OWN parents. The reason's are unclear but the police is working on it. The teenager seems to have 2 younger siblings. The parents have been killed with multiple stabs to their throat and back. One of the parents was even beheaded. Will he get a death sentence? Is this case similar to the one that happened 11 years ago where the child accused of murder was actually trying to save a victim of attempted murder? We don't know but we have invited someone that can tell us if that will be the likely case." the reporter says while reading the report. This case seemed to have happened today at 7 to 9 PM. Did they mention the case where he was directly involved?
The reporter turns to the guest on the show and asks, "What do you think sir? What is your opinion on this?" An old man, likely an ex-police officer speaks on the matter, "I don’t think this will be a case like the old one. In the old there was a clear victim and third party that probably perpetrator, but this one is different. Only the oldest sibling is covered in blood and there seems to be only 1 person's fingerprints on the knife. So it likely won't have a similar end to that old case. About the sentence, well, it's likely not because he is a mutant but rather because he killed 2 people. Unless he has some good reasons he will get the death penalty."
"Who is that guy? Why did he do that?" Karasu asks himself. "Ok folks, it's time for a small break. We will let you process the information but before we go we have to show you the person that committed the crime, so that you could keep yourself safe in the future." The reporter says and a picture of a guy comes up. His eyes are hidden with a black bar. The face looks familiar to Karasu. He focuses, trying to remember where he has seen that face, as he sips his drink. "Wait! WHAT THE FUCK?! HIROSHI??" Karasu says loudly, and instantly turns off the TV, to listen for his parents. He doesn’t want them waking up. It will be too inconvenient.
“Why the fuck would you even do that?! You stupid bastard?!” Karasu says in frustration, giving it his all to yell at the top of his lungs. “Bitch, didn’t I tell you can let me know?? How the hell did you forget?” Karasu tries maintain his composure but it’s hard to do with the stupid shit he just witnessed. He wanted get some rest after such an eventful day, but such a thing just HAD to happen. He should be leaving but he decides to stay as the ad break finishes while he was pondering. The news continues with the story with: “Now we will be moving the crime scene with my colleague, Kashimura-san. Kashimura-san please take it from here.” The news moves to the other reporter. He introduces himself as Kashimra, Izuma and he continues the report. “So here we are at the scene. This is the house of the murder victims. We can’t reveal the identity of the perpetrator but we can say that it’s a very gruesome scene inside. The police isn’t allowing anyone to come close, for obvious reasons. Let’s try to ask the police what is going on inside.” Izuma then walks to a police officer standing in front of the house and gurading the perimeter and says, “We are trying collect as much evidence as possible for the trial. That’s all I can tell you, now please walk away and do not disturb us.”
Respecting the guard’s words Izuma walks away and speaks to his colleague, “As you saw, they are not willing to give us much information. Which is understandable. Please take on from…” Izuma stops because his cameraman is pointing behind him, prompting him to look back. Izuma turns around and the camera focuses at the entrance of Hiroshi’s house. A squad of cops is walking out Hiroshi in handcuffs. He doesn’t look up and hangs his head. He doesn’t try to hide his face either. All the reporters run to get some words out of Hiroshi bombarding him with questions. The officers try to control them, but they are not very effective. Hiroshi’s neighbours are just standing around, talking, gossiping probably. Behind him are 2 younger girls, likely his sisters. They are both wearing masks. The older is walking and the younger one is being carried by a police officer.
Hiroshi is put in a police van and they drive off. After they leave the girls are put in a police car and then they follow suit. “You stupid fucking bastard! You fucking retard!” Karasu says, in frustration as he is dropping to his knees. He face palms, turns the TV off and sits on the floor for a while. After which he decides to leave and check up on Hiroshi. He grabs his dad’s bike key gets on the bike, “That stupid bitch” Karasu says as he’s starting the bike and drives off.
