Kim and Vas Allen followed the road to the country of Andra for a couple of days.

Kim almost as if he has been holding in a question said, "Hey Vas, can I ask you a question?" Kim said in a reluctant voice.

"Yeah, ask away!"

Kim thought for a few seconds before he asked his question, "What do you think the Grembling was talking about?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm talking about the last thing he had said, about the beam of light coming up to him."

"Beam of light huh?"

"Mhm."

Kim stared at Vas Allen, he noticed that Vas Allen was thinking, almost as if he knew what that beam of light was.

"Beam of light huh? I'll probably say that— it was a God…"

"God?"

"Yeah, that beam of light was probably an avatar of a God"

"Avatar of a God..? But why did it talk with the Grembling?"

"That is what I like to know as well…"

Kim was confused by what Vas Allen had just said, "What do you mean?"

"Well, Gods hates all of its creations"

"Most Gods think of us as small pests…"

"Where they refuse to interact with us, where they don't want anything to do with us."

"Yet that God, goes out of its way to meet with that Grembling…"

Kim stayed silent, he stared at Vas Allen.

"A God huh?…"

"Yeah, what made you ask that?"

"Well when I was talking with the Old Man, I'd ask him how to use magic."

"He told me that we have to make a deal with God."

Vas Allen stared at Kim, he looked concerned.

"He also told me that I won't be able to use any magic…"

Vas Allen looks at the road ahead and then back at Kim.

"Why do you want to use magic anyway?"

Vas Allen said in a low tone voice.

"Because when we broke free from the Grembling, I felt so useless after that."

"While you were fighting that Grembling, I couldn't do anything but watch…"

Vas Allen didn't say anything, he simply just stared at Kim.

"I want to use magic because I don't want to feel that way again."

"I don't want to feel like I'm not needed…"

Vas Allen let out a long sigh.

He hit Kim on the of his head gently.

"Ow- what was that for?"

"Because that was one of the dumbest things I have ever heard!"

Kim strokes his head to where Vas Allen had hit him.

"You don't need to do anything!" Vas Allen reassuring Kim.

Kim stared at Vas Allen, not satisfied with his response.

Before Kim can say anything. Vas Allen pointed out to Kim, "Look, over there!"

A wagon lies ahead of the road, Kim and Vas Allen up run to it.

"Hurry up kid, fix it before I hit you again!"

The kid struggles to pick up the wagon wheel.

Vas Allen and Kim were horrified by what they witnessed.

Vas Allen charged up a high-level magic spell.

He tried to hit the man with it, but before the spells came into contact with the man. A barrier has been put up, protecting him.

Kim's caught a glimpse of something moving in the corner of his eye, it was sudden.

"Woah, you trying to kill us?" the Man said in a surprise tone, his expression have this cocky look on his face.

"How did you—" Vas Allen shrugged it off and focus on his main point of why he had attacked the man. "Leave that kid alone!" He shouted.

"Why should we? We bought the kid fair and square!"

Vas Allen's disgusted expression could be seen in front of everyone that's present around him.

"We…?" Thought Vas Allen, he didn't think anything more about it. The main question was. "How did you block my spell?"

The Man chuckled "It wasn't me that blocked the spell…" He then pointed at the kid, "it was the kid!"

"The kid? He looks so young… and yet he's able to block one of my spells…" thought Vas Allen.

"But why?" Vas Allen looks at the kid waiting for his response.

The kid said nothing, his expression is dark and cold, almost as if he is lifeless.

"See, the kid enjoys this type of life!" The Man said in laughter.

Vas Allen before he could cast any more spells saw that the kid had fixed the broken wagon wheel. The man also realized this.

"Look like it's our time to go— and If I see y'all two again, I'll make you regret it!" He chuckled while getting on the wagon.

Vas Allen and Kim stared at the wagon going off in the distance.

"Arghhh!" Vas Allen yelled out.

Kim could see in frustration Vas Allen's face.

"What was that about?" Kim asks.

"I DON'T KNOW!!!" shout out Vas Allen.

"Vas not the type of person to easily get mad… personally wise that is." Kim thought.

"Why was the kid protecting that man?" Vas Allen said in an angry tone.

"I-i don't know… maybe the kid was trying to protect us."

"Protect? Protect us from what?!?! It was just us, the kid, and that man!" He scoffed at the air and looked down to the ground.

Kim didn't know what to say, he didn't want to make Vas Allen angrier.

"Ughh!!" He continued to still be mad at what just happen.

Kim can hear Vas Allen groan out of frustration, so he bring up something to get his mind off of it.

"Well, it looks like they are also going to the country of Andra…"

Kim trying to calm down Vas Allen, Kim realizes how dumb he was… he was basically putting fire on top of a fire.

Vas Allen didn't say anything, he simply just stared at Kim. Silence begin to shine for the two, Kim wanting to break the silence, "Uhh- Vas? Do you want to rest for a bit?"

"No, no, I'm fine! Let's just go!" He said in a stern voice, still pissed off by what just happen.

They walk in silence. Not one of them speaks.

"I never seen Vas this riled up before…" Kim thought to himself.

"Could it be related to his past? I mean I want to ask him about it but I don't think I should… but seeing the man treating that kid… pisses me off also!" Kim could feel a bit of anger coming from within, he clenched his hand into a fist but slowly release.

They walk and walk, and walks. The trip was silent, you could even hear the grass dance with the wind, it was that silent.

Kim and Vas Allen approaches a large wall made up of steels, it get a stern looks to it.

Kim was amazed by the structure of it, how it been designed. The pattern of the wall was placed in a lighting way. Red light was glowing between the pattern.

"Is this Andra?" Kim asked Vas Allen hoping for him to answer and get his mind off of what just happen.

Vas Allen looks at Kim and stares at him, he let out a sighed and reluctantly said, "Yeah… this is Andra."

Kim can still hear that Vas Allen is still mad, kept on asking more questions.

"Do you know anything about the country?"

Kim trying to distract Vas Allen from staying angry. Vas Allen nodded while letting out a sigh, "Fortunately I do."

Kim looked at him with a surprised face whose willing to listen and learn. "Woah- tell me more about it!"

"Well, did you know that the country of Andra was the only one that didn't have a scratch during the [War Of The Great Tech]?"

"[War Of The Great Tech]? " Kim repeated what Vas Allen just said, not knowing what he's talking about.

Kim could sees that Vas Allen's mood lifted with every question he asked.

Vas Allen begins to talk about the [War Of The Great Tech] to Kim.

Kim stares at him happily. "Looks like he's not angry anymore." Kim thought, upon hearing what Vas Allen was telling him about the war, his faces dropped.

He told Vas Allen to stop for a bit and told him to tell him more about its culture rather than the war or history. Vas Allen apologized and begin telling Kim all types of story's about Andra and their culture.
