FOREWORD
Hello. I'm Wren. I'm an amateur writer, and Intermenides is my first piece of fiction to be published online.
I want readers to understand that this project started as a small writing prompt, and has quickly become an out-of-hand project for me.
Due to things innate to my life, I may not always be able to keep up with Intermenides, but I aim to upload one chapter a week.
But that's enough about me. In case you cannot read handwriting, here is the text in the image.
You can largely ignore the text not blocked on the page. There might be hints toward things, for astute viewers, but it's largely inconsequential.
----------------------------------------
Now, the first paragraph.
Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author's preferred platform and support their work!
"I'm staring at the page. Supposedly. Obviously, I am, but my eyes are so tired it's almost swimming in front of me. The drive here took a lot more out of me than I thought, even with August driving most of the time, but the moment Lawry said she found a copy, I had to get back as soon as possible. It was a long drive to regroup, since she had traveled far enough to reach some backwater town in Arkansas, but it was necessary."
And the second paragraph.
"The book is ruined. Useless. At least as it is now- maybe they'll be able to think of a way to use it, but this is beyond me. It could be normal, maybe even an accident, but I doubt that. We'll need a new plan. One that will hopefully "go better" than this one. I can't take anything for granted anymore. Either way, we can't follow the original plan, so we'll need to get a move on."
And lastly, the third.
"And honestly? I just want to sleep. I'm going to bring this back to Lawry and August, see if they can't figure it out. We all need rest before else, thought. Hopefully we can at least plan for that."

And yes, astute readers may know that I needed to put words in this area due to a minimum character requirement.
