It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining. The roses smelled delicious and the normally empty fields of grass were now filled with people who were done with their tasks for the moment.
One of the groups of people was the group of three sister. They looked alike but there was a clear age difference between the three. The youngest one was a beautiful little girl about ten years old with dark brown hair and intense blue eyes. The second one was just as beautiful with blond hair and the same beautiful blue eyes. The third, and probably oldest of the three, was a tall woman with hair as black as the night but still the same blue eyes as the other two.
Everyone in the village knew these three sisters as the moirai, since the fates were the only ones that could save someone that was on their radar. Once these three sisters had set their eyes on you, you would either get your hearts desire or the greatest aches you could imagine. They had chased families away or enriched them but no one knew how.
This faithful morning in the park the three sisters were talking together, not drawing too much attention to them except by their beauty. They looked absently over the fields when one boy passed by. Giddily the oldest told the youngest, “That would be a beautiful man for you. Maybe dad will grant you such a beautiful husband.”
The cheeks of the youngest turned red just as the boy looked their way. A smile appeared at the youngest her face and she gestured to the boy to come. Without a hesitation in his step, the boy moved closer to the sisters and the youngest started to panic. “Please, talk to him.” The youngest now begged her middle sister. The middle sister nodded and took her place using her charms to see to it that the boy would like to stay in contact with them.

That night when everyone lay in bed except the middle sister and her mom. They were talking about the day and the middle sister started about the boy. However, the youngest sister had the same mind as the middle and went to talk to their mother. She over heard her sister say, “The boy was so nice and beautiful.” and ran away. The youngest thought that the middle one would ask for that boy as her husband one day and started to cry silently under the covers. Of course it was her own fault she should have been more proactive and not let her sister do the talking. But all the youngest did today was listening.
With those thoughts in mind she gather the courage to get up and sneak out of the house. She sought out the boy and found him sleeping in his bed. Looking at him he was at peace and innocent, she knew she could do whatever she wanted with him. Now, all she wanted was to know that he was hers and would be for a long time. She came in closer and thought about what would make him hers for certain.
Before she could do what she knew would work undoubtedly, the youngest heard her sisters. They were standing in the door opening. “Please young one, don’t be so eager to give yourself away to a boy.” The middle sister said while the oldest one looked at the youngest one with a face that cared. “Look in the mirror, young one, and see what we see. The innocence we lost already but you still can enjoy.” The middle one went one.
The young one followed the advice of her sister and looked in the mirror. for the first time she saw the youth she had and wanted to give away. That night the moirai had saved the boy by reminding the sister of her innocence.
