Aether walked back through the city of Juarez, glancing around at the industrial city the towers and buildings might not be there after all there was no law for any reason some demon could decide it wants that building gone, the owner could try to defend it but it might not work. A war might not help that but who's to care for anyone else?

'that shops new... Arnolds armistice, seems weird but i might as well check it out'

entering through its open entrance Aether was confused, it was just an empty room with some form of written langauge on the wall nothing indicating any form of sale, but before he could react the door shut and the lights cut out for him.

'The fuck?!?'

Aether who couldnt see clearly as he was blinded by light that was much brighter than Juarez, stumbled into a wall and backpeddled to recover a bit.

"look at it, it walked into the wall" the tall figure said as he laughed at the demon

"Dumb shit, also do we really have to stand here all day i know it pays but it gets sooooo boring killing these things everyday for weeks, plus they are so messy to clean up after we're done anyways." complained the shorter figure

Interupting the other person before he could add more he quickly declared "hold on its not unconscious this isnt going to be as easy as killing a sleeping one."

"No shit" the shorter guard remarked

Aether didnt take long to notice these people wanted him dead especially because they said it to his face... 15 meters away that is.

'shit my ability isnt working properly i cant do much of anything besides teleport within the box like room'

Not bothering to stand around for any longer Aether ran up to the shorter one towards the left, the shorter person startled at the sudden attack slashed down towards the demon only for it to blink [short teleport] over to his backside. Aether slashed out with his claws which were no longer than a dagger, but because of the guard's quick response he managed to dodge to the right and Aether only managed to injure the guard's shoulder.

the guard called out to his fellow guard in panick, "Shit i got jumped im going to need hel my shoulder isnt exactly doing me any favors right now"

the taller guard who was already walking towards the other guard responded "i can tell, the demon looks like it has the ability to teleport.. thats never fun to deal with, keep it at bay it will be easier to fight two against one Charles"

While the taller guard was talking to the person named Charles Aether teleported behind him only for the notably taller guard to react and slash at Aether's arm not doing much damage towards the demon

"Shit!.. I forgot to sharpen my blade, i wont be able to do much at all"

'they both dont seem to be too strong' Aether thought as he quickly teleported again but as he apeared in front of the guard he teleported again behind the one called Charles catching them off guard. Charles who was focused on Aether's last position couldn't react and got slashed across his back. Aether didn't stop his attack and slashed him again only to be parried by Charles

'but two is better than one' Aether thought quickly in his head before slashing with his other free hand and just like that it....... also got parried

"Damnit i forgot about the taller one" Aether commented

Aether's strength wasn't exactly what you would call adequete, actually its not very good in general though the only reason the guards are taking any damage at all is because of their likely low strength. Not like Aether could use his High int for spells due to a restriction of his abilities which were heavily restricted here for some reason.

Aether had tried to use his ability to slice the neck off of the guards only to be dissapointed, but no matter he could always hack at them. Back towards Aether being barred from attacking due to the guards being more than sandbags to beat around he was punched in the gut by the taller guard and pushed back a bit giving Aether the leeway to teleport again which fortunately wasn't blockd for some reason. Using his mobility option he slashed again at the one named charles this time he managed to draw blood and damage his eye

"FUCK MY EYE!!! SHit SHIT SHIT SHIT" Charles cursed in pain as he dropped his weapon and leaned against one of the walls in the room streaking his blood on the wall

with one guard out of fighting form Aether began to focus on the taller one, quickly slashing at him the guard backed away and countered with his own slash

"HEY CHARLES! I THINK THIS ONE HAS MENTAL AFFECTING PASSIVES MY MAGIC BAND IS STRUGGLING TO RESIST GET UP I NEED YOU IM NOT GOING TO BE ABLE WIN THIS!" shouted the tall guard

"YOU THINK I CAN DO ANYTHING JACOB. REALLY?!? YOU PIECE OF SHIT DO IT YOURSELF!!." Charles replied Loudly

Aether struck again managing to piss off the guard named Jacob as his attempt at parrying failed causing him to take a slash at his arm. One slash after another Jacob's situation wasnt looking good for him, and Aether was pushing him closer and closer towards a wall, panacking Jacob threw his weapon much to the confusion of Aether only for the polearm to return and stab him in the back. Aether didnt expect this and was caught offguard letting Jacob get his weapon back but Aether quickly recovered allowing him to strike again which landed on Jacobs exposed neck from below gutting it and spilling out some blood finishing off the guard named Jacob.

Thoroughly pissed Aether walked towards the surviving guard and crouched in front of him.

"well well well, for who do i owe the pleasure." Aether said rather calmly

"Fuck off will ya.... jacob........." remarked Charles before he looked up a bit

"well shit... Just kill me bastard, im not getting paid." Charles uttered angrily

Aether broke off a finger and asked again this time a bit more threatening in his tone

"why am i here?"

"I don't know something about the angels wanting to rid the earth of you all." mentioned Charles

satisfied with the information Aether walked away after ending the guard's life and walked past a few other rooms though they looked more like cells than housing rooms if anything.
