I get to the ship and about to go into the ship them stop I forgot I got that big battery. I walk over to it and check to make sure that it is charging still I see that it is 34% charged. I unplug it from the charger and carry it over to the mining ship and find the power core which is just a giant battery. I find it and take it out and put in the one I brought. I take back the one from the mining ship and check the wiring and replace a few wires and then hook it up to charge.

I head back to the mining ship and head back into the ship and start it up. It takes a minute to start up but soon the ships lights are flickering on and soon the ship is preforming some basic scans of the ships systems. There are some miner hull damage but it no compromise so I could take off my suit but better not for safety measure. The ship’s thrusters are also damaged a bit even after all the work I did but not to a bad point by what it says it will only be able to use 60% of its full speed. Oh well I knew that I couldn't fully fix it right off the bat that would be stupid but hey it works.

I start up the ship and start to set it up to head out it looks like the ship has a full tank of fuel still that’s a blessing. I get the ship off the hanger floor and start out of the hanger. I fly a bit around the station a bit I know I would like to see what it wants me to fix so I can make plans. The station has a lot of holes but in good condition I see the hall way that the robots fixed it is a bit patched look but hey beggars can’t be choosers. I start scanning the area and head towards the asteroid field if the station will get fixed I need fuel and metal. I speed up the ship dam this ship can go fast even at 60% soon reach the asteroid field and slowly make my way through it. There are some small ones at the beginning of it and I select one slightly smaller than my ship.

I check some of the commands and find a switch to mine. Then my chair is lowered a bit and I’m in a smaller room with some similar setup for driving the ship. I mess with the controls a bit and it’s like a giant claw game but instead of a claw a laser. I launch a harpoon like thing and bring the asteroid closer of I get closer to the asteroid ether way i get closer. I start to scan it and soon find that its iron with something else in it.

Soon I am blasting at the rock covering the asteroid but only for short bits if I am to fast the laser will over heat and then I can’t mine any of the asteroids. Soon I reach the iron and blasting at it. Then hands come out and start to collect the iron automatic which is awesome because it makes it so much easier. I shoot at the cracks starting to appear and the huge chunks of iron come flying out the arms grab them.

Soon I reach about the center of the asteroid and find a black material like a sphere. I scan the black orb and it says hydrogen core. It basic what fuels suns in a short explanation and highly dangerous. I start to shoot around the core and soon its out and I collect it and the iron and soon finished mining the rest of the asteroid. I head deeper into the asteroid field and I start to get static on the coms.

I turn it up and turn and tune it a bit to try to get a better signal but I only get a small bit coming through. I go deeper into the asteroid field and soon start to get a better signal. I start to track were the message is coming from and it shows that it’s to the right of the field but the distance is unknown due to the asteroids. I start to head in that direction and finally able to understand what they’re saying.

“This is a S.O.S to any help our ship is low on power and we have passengers on board and need help please respond.”(???)

I think this could be a trap but this also can be part of the quest plus this isn’t unknown to happen. I think I don’t want to be screwed over if I help them. Well but if I help them I could get some help in building the station and that will be helpful I can’t fix it all by myself there is only so much I can do.

I contact the ship.

“Hello this is Alex.”(Alex)

There is a moment of silence.

“Alex who are you where are you? Look ok better yet can you help we are low on fuel and are lost we have no idea where we are.”(???)

“Ok well I don’t know how much I can help I am only one person but I do have some material what do you need to keep your power going?”(Alex)

“We need fuel or anything that we can use as a fuel source.”(???)

“What about a Hydrogen Core?”(Alex)

The line goes silent and after a few minutes the line comes back.

“Yes, but they are hard to get but very powerful if you have one we could use it to power the ship.”(???)

Who knew that it was valuable this is defiantly coming together this must be part of the quest.

“Well I found one and I can give you but I have no reason to trust you. What’s to stop you from taking it and killing me?”(Alex)

The line goes silent again. After a few minutes the line comes back.

“Your right. You have no reason to help use or trust us but please do we need help. Anything you want you can have its possible to give you.”(???)

I think about it if this is a quest this can be helpful and that they would give me whatever I want. This can be a good way

to get workers and get things done but I need to make sure that I keep the station.

“Ok, I will help but there is something I do want.”(Alex)

Soon I receive some coordinates and I adjust my direction a bit. The asteroids are bigger now about 20x bigger if not more. A Triangle appears on my radar. After about 15 minutes more I see the ship and its huge about 400m long and about 300m wide. The ship is damaged a bit with some dents and scratches, but nothing that will cause it to be abandoned well unless they ran out of power. I think it’s a planetary ship I watched a trailer for it and they talked about it. There are basically used to colonize a planets or something that can hold them.

I signal the ship to land in a hanger they give me an all-clear and signal me to a platform. I land my ship and wait a minute and walk out of my ship. There are people looking at my ship with curiosity and a bit and some with tears in their eyes. There are guards surrounding the ship and a man walks up to me.

I take off my helmet and show my face and I greet the man.

“You must be Alex. My name is Jim and welcome to the Astro Ship. I was the one that talked to you on the Coms.”(Jim)

“Well the item you need is in the inventory so go ahead and get it and take any of the metal you might need also.”(Alex)

“Thank you Alex this will help a lot. I have to ask though where did you come from?”(Jim)

‘Should I tell them where I live, or should I just keep it to myself. This ship seems to well placed to be a trap it seems more like its part of the mission to control and build the space station. Ok I will tell them but I need to know what race they are if they are the same race that will tell me.’

“I understand that you ask for a good reason but I need to know what race you are it is not to be rude, but I need to know before I tell you anything and I will tell you my race once you tell me yours.”(Alex)

He looks a bit cautious and a little on guard.

“Well we are the Cyo race why do you ask?”(Jim)

Then this confirms it they are part of the starter mission.

“That is good to hear because I am to and the place I am staying is an abandoned space station. How I got there no idea I was in a Cryosleep (Think Human Popsicle in a pod) on a ship and I found myself around there when I woke up and can’t remember much” (Alex)

“Well that makes a bit of sense but you must have been in sleep for a long time I know the station you’re talking about and it’s been abandoned for about 150 years no one has gone to It sense it was destroyed”(Jim)

‘He must be talking about a battle and all the bodies floating around so it’s been there for 150 wow that’s a long time’

He starts to think of something looks depressed like he just remembered a really old and depressing memory.

“Also if you have been in Cryosleep then you probably don’t know much of what has gone on. So I might want to fill you in for one the Cyo’s people well what’s left of them are scattered. 160 years ago we were attacked by those dam machine beings and they destroyed anything in their path. Looking for technology to add to their collection we put up a good fight but after 20years they beat us they attacked our home planet leaving us the only option to head to space. The ones left went into hiding and the machines soon left thinking it not worth there time to kill us off one by one. Hell you’re the first Cyo I have meet not from this ship.”(Jim)

I understand a lot now and it fills in a lot of holes. So basic the Cyo people are rotting in space they are running out of options and they have no real home.

“Ok, Jim I know what I want. This will benefit you and me at the same time.”(Alex)

He starts to look at me interested but also on guard you know the saying if it’s too good to be true it probably is, but this should work out I can just pray it does.

“What is it?”(Jim)

“I want you to work for me the station is mine and everything. You help organize the tasks I setup and listen to the commands I give. That and with more people I can fix the station it is damaged but it can be repaired so once we get that done the Cyo people will get a new home to live and a place to stay in one place.”(Alex)

He looks at me for a moment and looks at my face to see if I am lying about anything I want.

“Alex that is a lot a good offer but not one I can make by myself so I must others to see what they think and make the decision.”(Jim)

“I understand that you need to talk with others. I will wait in my ship and rest a bit, take your time.”(Alex)

I walk off towards my ship while Jim looks deep in thought and walks off in the direction of a door. I get into my ship sit down in a chair lean back and relax

OK, first off thank you for your support comments they help. Also I am going to post new chapters every Friday about this time if time permits. Next week I'm not sure i have tests so its a iffy but i will try or write at home and it might be shorter than normal. Also This chapter is 2000+ words YA and thank you for your rates and comments any ideas go ahead and comment. There is a lot that hasn't been explained ask if i don't reply its because it will be explained later on.
