Zebra gulped down a mouthful of saliva, recognizing this strange occurrence as his employer became fully enraged. Zebra already thought Sharon was stupid, but he never pegged her as completely suicidal. You really can't judge a book by its cover, ah.
Trill Jody's eyes narrowed in suspicion. To others, Mistress Hemp was his most prized possession, a beautiful and skilled courtesan who catered to his every need. To Jody, Lulu was more than a mere possession. She was his family. She and Sansa raised him. They had been kidnapped a few days ago, and he had been using all his resources to find her. How could this woman know where she was?
"What do you know about Mistress Hemp?" Jody demanded, his voice echoing with danger.
Sharon took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to say. "I have a friend who works in the police department. She overheard some officers talking about a woman who matched Mistress Hemp's description being held captive in a warehouse near the docks. I talked to the streets, and well...that was a decoy. Mistress Hemp isn't who they want; they want her older sister, The Vixen. I know where they took her...both of them. I know where they are now."
"Allow me…a second to process this," Jody was initially leaning against the window. He slowly straightened his back and looked directly at the girl on the screen with a menacing glare. "You're telling me…that you not only know where Sansa is, have known where she is…but you're actually holding that information, hostage, until I absolve your sister of a situation she brought upon herself?"
To Jody's surprise, Sharon's face remained deadpan and unwavering.
He knew he had failed to intimidate the girl. Or rather, intimidation was already useless at this stage. Sharon was clearly desperate to gamble with such a situation, but Jody couldn't afford to delay anymore. The entire reason he returned to Blue Orleans was to relocate Sansa and Lulu. However, to his dismay, no one had seen the girls for two days now.
"Little bitty," Zebra hesitated briefly before warning this dumb broad. "You'd best be real careful about your next words. I've seen families slaughtered for less than what you're doing right now."
Zebra wasn't exaggerating; it was true. Once you crossed his bottom line, the young don had quite an explosive temper.
Actually, Sharon was paralyzed with fear and arousal the moment the infamous Trill Jody glared at her while calmly asking a question that highlighted her folly. She had clearly underestimated Mistress Hemp's connection with the young don. They weren't simply master and subordinate or even just friends! Looking at the coldness in Jody's eyes, Sharon felt like she had mentioned the man's missing mother or wife, not just a friend. Luckily, she had just peed or would've definitely wet herself.
Unfortunately, she could no longer retreat. Although surrendering this information could potentially place her in danger, not telling the young don the truth at this point would only result in a more miserable end. Sharon quickly adjusted her camera angle, then dropped to her knees and bowed at the screen. "Please forgive me, Trill Jody, for my audacity," Sharon said, her voice trembling with fear. "I had no idea the gravity of the situation, and I was desperate to save my sister. I didn't mean to hold this information hostage or to offend you in any way."
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Jody remained silent, his face unreadable. Zebra watched with bated breath, wondering what the young don's next move would be.
After what felt like an eternity, Jody finally spoke. "You have five minutes to give me the exact location of Sansa and Lulu," he said, his voice cold and calculated. "If you lie to me, or if you're wasting my time, I will make sure you regret it for the rest of your miserable life."
Sharon nodded frantically. "I swear on my life, Trill Jody, the information I have is accurate. I'll send you the coordinates right away."
Jody stared at Sharon briefly before calmly tapping his index finger on the door's armrest.
"Please, Daddy, I'm not trying to offend you! This matter was far too terrifying for someone like me. I don't even want to remember what I saw," Sharon sobbed before continuing. "I only found out today, not fifteen minutes before Zebra called! I'll tell you everything; I only ask that you spare my sister. In the old Black district's westside parkway, where all the old warehouses are, it's there. That place that says Mirrorland. Pookie took me there, and that's where I saw her reflection off one of the walls on the second floor. I know it was Mistress Hemp because her sister was right next to her."
As she spoke, Sharon had already sent Zebra the coordinates. Zebra wasted no time and put them in the GPS.
"Zebra, push it!" No longer caring about Sharon at all, Jody reached forward and ended the call before commanding his driver to speed to their new destination.
Zebra was incredibly excited as his boss never let him open up the throttle on this X2 before. He pressed a blinking orange button on the dashboard, and additional seat belts automatically strapped both passengers down, the inside of the craft's dimensions altering to become longer and more narrow.
Zebra slammed his foot on the accelerator, and the X2 shot off into the distance like a rocket. Jody sat back in his seat, his eyes staring off into the distance as the hovercraft rocketed through the air. His heart was thudding in his chest with a mixture of fear and anticipation. He was so close to finding Sansa and Lulu, but he couldn't help the nagging feeling that something wasn't right.
He had known Sharon was lying from the moment she appeared on the screen, but he had no choice but to take the risk. He had to find Sansa and Lulu, no matter the cost.
As they flew towards the warehouse, Jody couldn't help but think about Lulu. She had always been the anchor in his life, the one person he could always count on. She had raised him, loved him, and protected him. And now, she was in danger.
Jody gritted his teeth as he thought about what he would do to whoever had taken her. He would make them pay, no matter what it took.
Watching the scenery outside of the window whipping past like so many streaks of light, Trill Jody was pensive and anxious. Soon he would see the two women who meant the world to him again. He wasn't the same little Jody who left to join the federation's military. The changes to his mentality were more significant, but there was even a drastic change in his appearance. Whatever situation they were in, he was confident he could resolve it now.
Little did he know how wrong he could be.
Or that he wouldn't even live to learn the lesson.
At least not yet…
