Ch 1: The One legged swordsman

Hey guys sorry for the late post. I was on vacation, just to let you know the boys are back! (http://vk.com/video79925219_164332381)

Write comments for faster uploads!

Also I've gotten lazy (a pastime of mine I assure you) so I will now be writing in first person!

Yes I'm a demanding sicko who bribes his readers with more!

Anyway please comment and write recommendation and story ideas.

I will use them if I like them and obviously I will give you honorable mentions that chapter!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I first spawned into the game I was shocked at the realism. I could feel the soggy mud between my toes and the harsh rain against my skin. I could hear the bustling street life around me, NPC's and players going about their daily lives.

It all looked rather silly to me, what was the rush. This was a game, so why not enjoy it? What motivated people to play so frantically without truly enjoying themselves? Was it money, fame or perhaps just a curiosity to see the world from the top?

As I asked myself these questions I received a notification.

you have gained 1 wisdom!

(wisdom controls skill with magic as well as your creativity. Intelligence controls total mana and mana regen.)

Intrigued by this sudden popup, I came to the realization that one could gain skills and stats based on what they did in the game. I realized that we were not controlled solely on our level but our actions as well.

I then decided to check my status window. After a few moments of stumbling that all I needed to do was to will the window in front of me. I then checked out my stats. Fortunately my friend Jon had explained stats for me, so I understood at a basic level what to expect.

Overall I was very pleased with my stats but I was insulted that the game thought that I had less intelligence than the average human being. It was obvious that I had an aptitude towards a fighting class and therefore I decided to head to the training hall. Although I looked frantically I could only find archery halls.

Goddamn typical rpg setting giving elves tons of bow areas! Finally after a long search I decided to ask an old man. The old man looked rather strange, and smelled the part as well so I decided against it and kept searching. After a lot of anticipation and waiting I finally found a suitable target. This time it was an old lady.

Me - Do you know where the training hall is?

Old Lady - There is no longer such an establishment in this city. The old training hall was in the mountains up North if you would like to check it out. I hear that an old man still trains there, though he only has one leg.

"The One legged Swordsman"

You have been asked by an Old Lady to investigate the mountain range near the city in search of a one legged old man who runs a training hall.

Success Requirements:

-  Meet the Old Man without dieing.

Failure:

- Die on the way to the old man

Reward

- Access to the training hall

- ???

Me - I accept

So before I left I decided to check my inventory to see what I had, and I found 20 pieces of bread and 20 vials of water. I also got a training sword. I decided to check out it's stats.

Blade of the Noobs

Durability: Infinite

Attack: 1

Defense: 0

Additional Effects: None

Requirements

- Must be below level 20 to equip

Overall it was a fairly unimpressive weapon. I was a little eager to begin my training, so I headed out right way. As I left the town I was suddenly attacked on my right.

You have taken 10 damage

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

I instantly brandished my sword and swerved to my left.

Before me was a small green slime, that went to about my knees. I started laughing. I couldn't control myself, I had been hurt by a weakling slime, the weakest of all monsters. Once I realized I was in no particular danger I decided to try out my skills in the game. I jumped back and prepared myself. I had mastered the katana 2 years ago and was particularly well versed in using extremely speedy movements to overwhelm my opponents (think flash step from bleach.)

So I used my toes to propel myself forward towards the slime. I then made a quick horizontal slash at the slime. Since, however I wasn't used to my body I missed my attack and crashed into the floor.

You have lost 20 hp

I realized that I had to get used to my body. Instead of one shooting it with my overpowered stats, I tried once again. I generated all my energy into the balls of my feet and lunged at the slime. Although it was quite slow (barely faster than a full sprint towards the slime), the momentum and my inflated stats made it deadly. This time I hit it with full force. It instantly died.

After this experience I realized that I should continue training. I grinded for a few more hours. Until I finally leveled up. I distributed my points like so. 3 for Agility (to increase my speed) 1 for Strength and 1 for Dexterity. After this I continued to grind. I paid no attention to the various level ups I received. Finally after 100 slimes were killed I heard a huge thud.

Boss Battle: King Slime level 15

You have awakened the fierce King Slime. After massacring his people he seeks revenge.

He was huge and was royal blue instead of the usual green variety. I stored up my power in the balls of my feet and charged towards the slime. My initial charge although extremely accurate hardly made a dent on him. I then went into a flurry. Striking as fast as I could. I paid no mind to accuracy and only sought to maximize the speed of my swings. After a few minutes of this intense fast pace battle, the slime swung back. His body formed a whip and swung towards me.

I ducked underneath and counterattacked, hitting the slime in the small gap created from forming the whip. Slime Blood oozed out of the King Slime's body. I continued this strategy of goading and counterattacking. Finally after several long minutes, the Slime King fell.

You have defeated the Slime King.

You have gained Kingly Slime ring!!!

You have leveled up 3 times

You have reached level 7!

For killing the Slime King you have gained 10 fame!!!

I was curious about my new item and decided to check it out.

Kingly Slime Ring

Durability: Infinite

Attack: 0

Defense: 10

Additional Effects:

+ 10 Agility

+5% Movement speed

Restrictions: N/A

Very pleased with it's effects I equipped it. I also used my extra points which followed the same pattern as before. (2 AGI, 1 STR, 1 DEX) Satisfied with my training, I then headed towards the Mountain.

Hope you enjoyed my second chapter!

In case you actually care, here is Oberyn's stats as of now. All boosts from items will be in brackets. Each Stat gains 1 per level. Mana gains 5, Health gains 10. Mana also changes based on Intelligence. Stamina doesn't change unless you exert yourself. Attack and Defense are special. They aren't stats but just a way to measure one weapons damage output over the other.
