In front of an A ranked gate stood a party of eleven Awakened clothed in armor. They belonged to a large sized guild Kaldium that greatly expanded in the recent years, all thanks to the funding from the Bludsworth family, which was provided as a pay for accompanying Aldrick to the dungeons.
When they only started doing this, Kaldium was just a minor small sized guild that could go down the tray at any moment, and now they had six A-ranked Awakenees at their disposal and about a hundred B-ranked ones. Their growth showed off the power of the Bludsworth family, though their contract was not well known to the outsiders.
As the group stood and waited, the sound of the footsteps belonging to the person they were waiting for finally reached them.
Aldrick was carrying a large suitcase on his back as he walked over with a nonchalant face. He glanced at the members of the group and noticed a few unfamiliar faces. He addressed them.
“I am the one you will be taking to the dungeon today. Aldrick Bludsworth.”
The uncomfortable silence that ensued with his rough greetings was soon interrupted by the leader of the group.
“Greetings, Aldrick, long time no see. I will be the leader of the raid group today as usual. And this is Kyle, our newbie and the second A-ranked Awakened in the group for now.”
The one replying was a middle-aged-looking man with blonde hair, Alec. He and Aldrick knew each other for as long as Alex used to participate in dungeon raids. He was also a core member of the Kaldium guild, an A rank Awakened with combat ability at the top of his rank. He was supposed to guard Aldrick from death if he could not deal with the situation. Kyle was a burly man with a stoic face that had a frowning expression that seemed to have been etched in his face for as long as he lived. That’s how natural that frown looked.
“Let’s not waste any time and enter.”
Alec showed a bewildered expression in response to that statement.
“Are you not going to wear any equipment? An A ranked dungeon is nothing like a B ranked one.” There sounded worry in his voice as he spoke.
The reason for that was Aldrick’s lack of equipment. He only wore a coat along with a set of casual clothes for dungeon exploring with no defensive capabilites.

“It doesn’t matter. This is my last try.”
Alec showed a gloomy expression in response.
“So it’s time, huh. We’ve got your back, my friend.”
Aldrick’s droopy eyes flashed at these words, though he replied with his usual emotionless expression.
“Yes.”
In the dungeon.
As soon as they entered, Aldrick stopped near the entrance and opened his suitcase. Nine blades that were laid carefully there floated up as he closed the suitcase back and threw it near the exit. The new members of the raid group livened up a little as they stared at the scene wide-eyed.
“I heard about his battle style, but seeing it by myself is even more surprising.”
“It is. Usually telekinesis-type Awakanees only focus on exerting their force directly on the opponent. Aldrick Bludsworth, on the opposite side, seems unable to do that as he hasnt’s awakened. He is still powerful enough to take on A-ranked enemies on his own, though. I doubt there is another anomaly like him in our world.”
Very soon, all the talks ceased. As they went through the dark space that did not look like a dungeon at all, they slowly became able to hear faint sound of footsteps, resounding from everywhere. Aldrick continued to walk in the front. Even though oficially he was a backline fighter in this team, as his true goal in this attack was to awaken, he did not intend to fight together with his teammates. Usually the role of a team in the attacks that he took part in was to help him when he becomes unable to fight anymore, and today was no different.
First enemies started to appear. The spawns of this dungeon were humanoids with bodies consisting of dark metal that seemed to blend into the overwhelming darkness of the void.
They could be said to be one of the worst enemies for Aldrick to fight with his swords. He managed, though, as he increased the amounts of mana that he was pouring into his weapons. The Kaldium party carefully threaded right after Alexander, closely watching Aldrick to be ready to help him out in case his life gets threatened.
Time passed. Soon, it came to be a third day of the raid. Aldrick, with a body full of fresh wounds that threatened to be opened at each movement, looked at the large gates, adorned with intricate white markings, while standing before them. Mana, belonging to the strongest creature of this void dimension, was almost palpable now. The pressure it exuded made even Alec uncomfortable. It was worse for Aldrick.
“I don’t think this is a good idea to take on whatever is behind these gates alone. Alexander. We might not be able to help you in te”
Aldrick sighed. A few seconds went by before he responded.
“It’s alright. I’ll manage somehow.”
Alec’s face showend hints of unpleasantness as he stood behind Alexander. His answer was short.
“Got it.”
He went back to the other members of the party.
“Get ready, everyone. We are going to enter in ten minutes.”
Aldrick stood still with a somber expression. He was waiting quetly, determined.
