"No one knows the day or the hour."
~Matthew, 24:36
These are true words.
We didn't know the day, nor did we know the hour.
We knew nothing.
The first wave ended civilization as we know it.
The secound wave destroyed last pieces of morality.
The third wave... The third wave is still going on.
First wave, Wave Of Ash as we call it.
That day, everything we built turned to dust.
Literally.
Every building, above or below the ground.
Every item more advanced than a pickaxe.
Everything turned to ash and flew with the wind.
That day humans fell from the skies.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
Humans that lived in the skyscrapers that we were so proud of.
Humans that were flying through the skies in a plane.
They lost the ground under they legs and fell to their death.
Even we on the gorund lost the ground under our legs.
Asphalt, sewers, subway... They all turned to dust.
And we... We were left without anything to our names except the knowledge we remembered.
Secound wave, Wave Of Hunger.
Seems nothing compared to the previous doesn't it?
But it was much worse.
It destroyed our rules that we built after the first wave.
It destroyed the morality we had.
Few kept it.
That day 90% of food disappeared.
Puff...
Just like that.
I was one of the lucky ones.
I found the food.
Those who didn't?
They were lucky if they starved to death.
Those that didn't?
They were eaten alive by their friends.
Now, the third wave.
We don't really have a name to call it.
Some call it the Judgement Wave.
I call it The Invasion.
That wave opened holes around the world.
Not simple holes, no.
They led to a different worlds.
Some thought it was salvation.
New world. New home.
But it didn't.
It was what destroyed the last cities.
The invaders. For them our world was theirs to take.
The only saving grace is the fact that we knew our world better than they do.
As of now, this world is riddled with war and death.
This story is how I Odd survived the two waves and how I'm taking part in the third.
