One ponders upon the arrangement of all living things and how humans are so fond of category by category, seemingly making order of the just chaos that is the universe. An example is to be given right here, in this humble establishment belonging to a complete beginner to his task, as he tries to set up a meal for a customer.
Calling upon his memory, he shuffled between them with practiced ease, snippets and whispers passed by as he traveled his life in a few moments. Most of them were dull, lifeless, monochromatic. Tasteless, but they served their functions, just as always.
Just as always.
The first thing to consider is the crown and the people. One sits at the top, one at the bottom. Yet, though differ in position, they are born from the same whey, from the same bread, from the same soil as with the same waters. Yet, only due to circumstances one sits above the other and no one can say otherwise.
They were the same colour as the staple brand used by everyone else, familiarity is often looked with ease and nostalgia. Feelings evoked to pitch for the potential customers to stay latched on his establishment. A mere idea, one he hope would be successful, even if only a little bit.
The crown and the people were born for undergoing a trial into the melting pits of flesh, all to accomplish a singular goal. They were brought upon the world for a purpose, and that purpose they shall fulfill.
First, they would be broken down into several separate parts, then, after going into a long series of tunnel, parts of them would be taken up, bits by bits, until only the unworthy parts of their selves were left, to be forgotten down a whirlpool of water.
The pieces that ascended, they would grow into one being, travel to different places while simultaneously in other places. Being the fuel for other structures, drops of oil in machine, scattered here and there.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
That was only the first part. Now, comes the second milestone. However, he was at a conundrum at how he should proceed, his memories tell that all is fine, yet, for some reason, he felt there was a deeper meaning to the arrangements done carefully by humans, they, as told earlier, seemed to take importance in correct categorization and how they proceed.
At a loss, he closed his eyes and relied on his luck, a defeated expression lies on his face as he was unable to solve the problem directly from utilizing the library that is his mind. His hands circled blindly in front of him, unheeded of the feeling of misery by their owner.
A refreshing, firm surface answered his unsightly plight, tiny rustling reached his ears as he became instantly familiar with the object in his palms. It was the lifesaver of all people, the selfless saviour of humanity. One would not continue their life without paying respects to it, some would even dedicate their entire lives to it, and looked down on all those that didn't. But that was a tale for another time.
He lifted it, though it seemed fragile as it swivelled and shook as it brushed against the air, it held it's form as he placed the form above the people, in it's rightful place.
It was suitable, it was a saviour of the people, but it would not, could not be above the ruler, it was illogical, it was madness in its very definition. Out of place, and out of order.
With a tug of his memories, he recalled of the journey it will undergo, of how it was indestructible, immovable by anything, coursing through the entire trial by sheer fortitude, coming out of it more or less one piece.
He sighed, the final component. A heavy atmosphere descended as he considered the creature that will sit above the saviour.
A being of pure muscle, no fat, no bones, it laid there, motionless, yet demanded attention as it seemingly breathed with contempt. No one could deny that the being had it's own purpose, and it claimed the fame it deserved.
The beast was the most arrogant amongst all the components, it would undergo the trial, and then become the trial itself. A prospect that would leave the king envious, the people begrudging, and the savior dismissive.
Satisfied, he lined them all up, for he was above them all, his word as law. Warping the tiny organization he had made with a translucent material he procured elsewhere, the miniature world he gave it to his waiting customer.
"Here's your subway, sir"
"About damn time"
His customer snorted and paid the price before leaving his establishment with great speeds.
Another satisfied customer, he supposed.
