Heavy breathing as if my lungs were going to explode, muscles in my body burning like they were about to scream and an addictive energy coursing through my body.
I finally arrive at the entrance to the orphanage after I have to shrug off that boy's surprising strength.
“I can't believe you guys made me use this…” I say as my body is covered in a familiar glowing blue power, a power that's reinforced by the full moon behind me.
I walk slowly to the entrance gate to block it, in front of the small figure in front of me.
"Good thing that we have such an advantageous night for me, isn't it?!" I ask in an impatient and tired tone, holding up my hands, prepared to grab my future investment.
"I don’t think so." The figure pulls out a kitchen knife hidden in her clothes.
"Hahahahaha!" I laugh at her impudence.
“Well, it looks like you won't come without resistance. I was already getting sick of trying to control myself when pests like you pissed me off!" I shout towards the figure.
I appear before her as if we've never been a few feet apart, kicking her little body a few feet from where she was.
“How nice, kicking something after a stressful day, isn't it?!” I ask with a sneer as I walk over and kick her over and over again.
As I enjoy myself after the worst night I've ever spent in this place, a blinding glow emanates from the small body at my feet.
I scream with pain in my eyes as I pull away, covering my eyes with my hand. As soon as the light dims I force myself to look straight ahead.
“It can't be…” I almost can't believe it before my eyes.
"Who would say! I suspected other kids, but you? Glad I was right to choose you!"I speak letting my happiness show on my face.
The little being in front of me now on all fours on the ground, like an animal ready to attack with knife in hand and eyes with a red glow filled with rage and the same red glow around his body. Jumps towards me at a speed greater than my previous one with the knife cutting from side to side my body protected by the blue light.
"Not that you're listening to me now after waking up, but don't think you can hurt me!" I challenge her by protecting me from attacks.
“Hahahaha that's fun! But eventually you'll get tired, you know?" I speak while realizing a detail.
For a second it felt like the weapon of my “small investment” was glowing at small intervals and also heating up with each passing second.
When I least expected it, I feel a taste of iron going down my mouth and a sharp pain in my forehead. Blood? It seems that I have greatly underestimated the effects of the Moon.
"Tsk—it looks like the game is over, kid." My voice trembled with anger at being hurt by her.
Seeing my opponent's apparent weariness. I use the power again to grab her by the neck and hands, causing her to drop her weapon to the ground.
"Well, it would be a shame to have to kill someone so valuable to me, so I guess I'd better give you a good night's sleep before a suitable punishment..." With my hands gripping his neck tightly I slowly close them to comply. my promise of a good night's sleep as she tries to resist until she finally "sleeps".
"Shhhhh sweet dreams child, see you tomorrow..."

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"
“What a weird dream…” I think as I wake up to a deafening scream coming from the kitchen, straight to my bedroom. I try to ignore him, but it looks like the damm parrot won't stop until I feed him.
“Get up to make coffee!” screams the bastard, running on his little legs to the bedroom door.
“Aaaaaa shut up! Why did I have that damn idea of using a parrot for my new videos?!” I scream now fully awake, with an indignant tone towards the parrot.
This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
I mean, not that I regret it that much, the damn bird gave me a gigantic visualization boost.
But even so, being woken up in the middle of the afternoon after having spent the night editing all those videos makes me seriously rethink replacing him with a puppet, at least I can control what he says myself...
"I don't know, feed me!" says the parrot as if he understood what I was talking about.
"Argh, take this and don't bother me anymore." I answer as I feed the bird in the kitchen and head to the bedroom to prepare for a meeting with a likely bussiness partner tonight.
Before leaving I check my cell phone and read the messages. The first one being another fake account from a fan that I had a date a while ago, which by the way, I've blocked several times.
“Are you really not going to answer me or answer my messages? I thought we were made for each other, but it looks like it won't be like that, whatever...”
“What a creepy woman, we only met once, and it looks like she already wants to marry me! And she's already called me 50 times just today!” I talk to myself while blocking and deleting the fake profile.
I read the next message.
“Hi Brother, how long has it been? Not that you care, but I just sent you this message to let you know that our mother is sick. But I don't think you even care about that. Good luck lying and deceiving your “fans” ”
“Who are they to demand something from me? They're the ones who abandoned me first!” I think to myself while i erase the message.
Ready for the meeting, I go down from the top floor of my apartment and decide to walk to the meeting place, which is relatively close to where I live.
After half an hour searching through alleys with no living soul I finally find the place.
Apparently a small restaurant, however there is no light emanating from the place.
"But how strange, on the internet the place counts as open on weekends." I say to myself while I try to open the door to the building, but the door is locked.
"Well, I guess I'll text them to arrange the meeting elsewhere." I pull out my cell phone to send the message, not noticing the shadow that is projecting behind me and not noticing the heavy object cutting through the air and hitting my head in full, throwing me into a deep darkness...
The first word to come to my mind was “dizziness” but not just any dizziness, it was more like I mixed up all the hard drugs I can remember the name of. Not that I ever did, but it was the best I could describe during my long journey from inside the trunk of some car that I'm stuck in now, completely tied up, blindfolded and with a rag tied over my mouth.
When the car finally stopped I could hear something like “Have we arrived? It's here? Get him out of there.” Some female voice said, muffled by the sealed space that i was in.
After being carried for a time like a pig by two people. Something is tied to my feet, I try to resist but whatever they gave me left me paralyzed from head to toe. Then I am thrown onto a surface that appears to be wood.
“Leave him there, I want to talk to him first. Take off his blindfold, the gag too.” A female voice orders her two henchmen.
"Now, now, now, good night dear did you sleep well?" a woman I can't recognize with my blurred vision asks me.
I look around trying to recognize the place, it feels like I'm on a bridge somewhere remote.
"Who are you? What you want from me?" I ask confused with my voice trembling with fear.
"Which?!" she asks feigning indignation.
“Don't you recognize the woman you played with the feelings? Looks like I wasn't the first, right?” she asks innocently.
"Wait, you're the crazy one who kept chasing me after a date!" I scream with anger rising in my chest.
"Looks like someone has worked up the courage now doesn't it?" she asks as she suddenly kicks me in the stomach.
“But—as far as—I remember—there was—much—more—after—that very—meeting—didn't it!?” She screams, speaking a word with every kick I get across my entire body.
"I just want to ask a question, which might save you." She looks face to face in my eyes.
"Did you even consider having something serious with me?" She asks with an unsettling lightness in her voice.
"Of course!" I respond by trying to appeal to her good will.
"If there's one other thing I also hate besides being ignored. It's someone lying to me you know?." She sighs making a contorted expression of disgust on her face as she points to the heavy object tied by chains at my feet and her henchmen promptly start pushing me to the edge of the bridge.
“Goodbye dear, until the next incarnation…” she says while making a goodbye motion with her hand.
“Don't! Wait a momen—” I try to argue as I sink into the water and quickly fall into the deep river, where I can't speak or see anymore, after a few seconds of sinking into the depths.
Minutes or seconds of despair and pain passed, until my own mind slowly began to darken, as did those dark waters until I couldn't think anym—

I open my eyes, assailed by the stark white of what appears to be a small room.
I notice that I'm sitting on a bench and a man with tiny glasses is sitting across from me, behind a desk looking at a document making a disinterested face.
“Welcome to the White Room…” He welcomes me in a bored voice.
"Congratulations, you died."
