Prologue

"Haaa"

It's time....time for me to bid farewell to this world.

It has been  a long life since I had reincarnated here. With all the running around to achieve the next stage of aura, I never had the time to think of rest.

And by the time I thought about it, death has already caught up to me.

All my friends and close acquaintances  had already bid farewell to their life.

Now it's just me alone in this world, still clinging to my little life to reach the legendary stage even when I only have a single days worth of life within this body.

Back then when I was reincarnated in this world similar to wuxia, I thought I was someone destined to do or be big. But alas reality punched me straight on  my face.

There was no mysterious grandpa in a ring.

No powerful family background.

Nor any ancient aura cultivation technique lying along the road side.

If we were to place me in a novel, I would be mob 'no 12223' of a poor family.

But I was never depressed with these facts. When I thought I was ready, I went and joined the kingdom's military for the basic aura cultivation technique.

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

From there I worked and trained hard till I reached the heaven's stage at the age of 108.

Heaven's stage at that  age was nothing special, but I nonetheless was happy with my achievement.

But now at the age of 145, the highest life expectancy of a heaven's stage practitioner, reality came back to mock at my hard work.

The legendary stage, the stage which grants unlimited lifespan was never meant for mobs.

It doesn't matter how hard you train, if you aren't born with the talent or met with a miraculous encounter then you are not destined to enter the stage above heaven.

I could scream at the heaven for being unfair. But what's the point in those when you can do nothing about it.

"Starting now, I will enter a long closed seclusion and none is allowed to disturb me until I come out of it." I said to all the assembled  members of my family.

The Alister family sure has grown large with a mere one and a half century, back then this family only consisted of me and my siblings.

"What if Ancestor is not out for a long time?" asked the current family head with a worried look.

Huh..so they figured it out. Well it was not a big surprise, since anyone  can tell I'm at the end of my rope by just looking at my frail decaying body.

"Doesn't matter, you are not to disturb me until I come out by myself....you may all leave now."

They all started to disperse on my command.

Alas, if I don't achieve the next stage then it doesn't matter what happened to my body.

"Mmmm...ancestor, are you going to die?" A tiny cute voice asked me.

When I moved my vision to the direction of the sound the frame of a small  six year old boy entered my vision.

"of course not brat, i'am only advancing to the next stage." among the sixth generation of my family   this little boy is the only one I have related closely during all my training.

"Take this boy." I told as I pushed my journal in to his tiny hands.

"?"

"This will help you in  your training."

"Thank you Ancestor! I will work hard."

"Now run along."

I watched the back of the hopping  boy who aspired to be someone like me.

"Haa.. hope you will achieve what I dreamt of  achieving." I muttered as I laid on  the bed and closed my eyes.

'Ahh.. we meet again death.' I monologued as I felt my senses waning.
