A nervous, scholarly cheetah named Rivi is undertaking a pilgrimage around the world. After a series of setbacks, Rivi is just about to board the massive intercontinental airship, Worldstrider. Argos, an employee of a mysterious and dangerous Guild, is relaxing after his latest secretive mission. When the coyote witnesses Rivi's sweet but naïve nature nearly get him robbed, if not killed, Argos steps in to protect him. Then, when it turns out Rivi's accommodations are no longer valid, Argos volunteers to share his cabin with the feline, in an attempt to keep him safe until they've crossed the sea.
