Finally did it, didn't I?
After many rewrites and even more unpublished drafts, I finished a book's worth of a novel... And it was... Hard... I hope the readers who stood this long around will be satisfied with this conclusion, and we can get to discussing the mentality behind it all. Stick around if you want to get a better grasp of what all of this was about... In case my low-tier writing wasn't enough to explain it.
If you are wondering what was the reasoning and inspiration for this, it's simple really. There just isn't enough fantasy novels with a Roman setting, and I was tired of searching for them, damn it. I decided to give a try in writing one, both as a time killer and an experiment to see what it was like to write a novel. The goal was producing some that was both above average for the standards of RoyalRoad and satisfied my low expectations of my author """talents"""

It took me 2-3 months to come up with the concept and finish it, so I suppose it wasn't all that time consuming. I enjoyed coming up with some of the most colorful characters and introducing a story where the reader was at least able to somewhat sympathize with the characters, understand their motivations, and have some suspension of disbelief. You know, all the things that make reading something worth it.
Whether I have succeeded or not is hard to say, as it isn't for me to decide. You, as the reader, is fully empowered to dictate if I have. I would greatly appreciate if you, who have read all chapters, could post a comment saying your impressions, or better yet leave a written review. It is uncertain if I will continue the story or not, and I wish to have some feedback before making this choice.
Thanks for reading!
