Reuben didn't come into this world the traditional way, in fact his mother is a computer program. In addition, he was created by several pieces of broken data that were once humans that traveled a digital realm of human creation, and because of this he often has intrusive thoughts that make becoming what he wants and developing his own unique identity a bit of a problem. However, as he gets older these intrusive thoughts and the desire of his mother invade his mind to give him a quest. He must save his mother from the digital realm and fulfill her wish to be reunited with his father, but to do this he must tap into the pieces of himself he'd rather suppress, and infiltrate dangerous groups of humans in a post-apocalyptic world where death is not always the end.
